  Bjorn : One Mind

Why two is always needed

Bjorn said May 16, 2008, 11:21 AM:

For something new to come alive we need to come together. Once we see that we all belong to each other there is no other way. Relationships alter our experience. Meeting, connecting, sharing, understanding, merging, creates a new meaning of oneness.

In Christianity we call this communion in the Holy Spirit. It is apt to call it by that name as it is an independent intelligent persona. That is what Jesus meant when he said: where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

This all points to a realization beyond our personal, well known, experience. Beyond our everyday common understanding of what it means to be a human being. In this merging of consciousness our natural self opens to a larger entity that is of a purely spiritual nature and which comprises of all our parts but exceeds them all.

Pure spirit is allowed to enter through our joint surrender of self, of ego. We allow something much bigger access to our consciousness. We can all independently be aware of such a presence and also even speak and act directly from such awareness, but once we allow ourselves to die in relationship to the other, or others, we endeavor to allow for the spirit to speak for itself and by itself through all of us as a group. Then and only then, will its independent nature be seen.

This is NOT common, but once we taste it we will know it without a doubt. You and I will know together that we have experienced something beyond ourselves. We will have experienced and realized mutually, recognized together, a shared spiritual outpouring.

This can never be achieved in your solo practice. This is why communion is essential for spiritual evolution. Regardless of our spiritual achievements we must abandon our selves fully before this is realizable. That is why the door is open for any and all who wants and dares to enter.

This is why personal proficiency is not a prerequisite for spiritual communion. But two always needed.

Brian, you are so right!! It is taught in Judaism that the highest form of observance to God is the way we treat our spouse. The way we treat our spouse is the same way we treat God, because we are respecting God and HiS Creation! Anyone that claims to be pious and doesn't treat their spouse with love and care, adding, sharing, doing for and with, giving, is not serving God at all….. Further, it is taught that along with the concept of Kavod Ha Briah, meaning, honor for the creation, it is also taught that the highest form of kedusha….holiness is the love and intimacy between husband and wife, this is where the love of God is made manifest… In Judaism the word for love is ahavah. The root of ahavah is hav. Hav means to give….to love is to give and to give is to love…and to the degree that we love is to the degree that we give…and the more we give to that other, the more of us that is in that other, is the more we love that significant other…

I am happy to find someone that has his head on straight…

blessing to you…and mazal tov on your marriage!!

Thanks Yaffie,

but who's Brian…?

Not many people understand this but hide out in a personal take on the Absolute and once you question their stance they defend it vehemently.

yes, all kinds of people who are basically rebels who want to justify their positions, lol…cause they like whats easy, whats common….that is what they identify with…and they are not God or truth seekers at all…it is frustrating…..

The first verse of psalms is this:
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scorners…..”

There is a word there in hebrew: latz, latzim, pluralized; mockers…scorners….

Whereas many people might think that the mockers, scorners, sinner, is someone who doesn't know the way….it is actually speaking about those that know better….those who are 'enlightened'  who have learned, have been taught and are supposedly….educated…but lack the humility that you speak about to 'condescend' to the light of the other, (pride goes before a fall….)

The mockers “know everything” and are so jealous of someone elses light; the light of their peers  – that they will not even initiate a dialogue, they don't want to 'hear' their words because their pride and their envy won't allow for that…therefore, they do not receive light nor grow;  their learning is superficial, it hasn't penetrated their hearts , its just the little ego –intellectual 'prowess.' but lacking in reality any power, because the  ego will not submit to humble itself to growth…they will not be transformed….nor do they walk in light..these are the sophists…highly philosophical, 'educated' people…

the psalmist is speaking to and about them; that is the irony…he is not speaking about the uneducated…NO!! lol….such an interesting and totally insightful twist from King David…

The psalm continues….But his delight is in the word of the Lord and in his word he meditates day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season…its leaf shall not wither; and in whatever he does he shall prosper….

There are many scorners, mockers, and rebels who profess to walk in and to seek
“enlightenment”….but these are the very mockers that mock everything that comes from the side of light, truth, and beauty….they pick and choose 'light'….lol…..these are the latzim…..the sophists….clever and specious argumentations that they bring forth…this is sophistry….::

to take truth and what is pure, and to adulterate it, to admix truth with clever and deceptive…reasoning…this IS the meaning of sophistry…..it is plausible but fallacious, argumentation….and for the latzim…those without humility, this is the egos' way of survival …..In fact, this is where we get our word:  “ADULTERY!!.

THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE THAT!!

Wow Yaffie, that's great! I really enjoyed it. Would you dare to post it on The God Pod? I find it a bit difficult to speak with Mike.
