I just watched an excellent film, Man in the Chair. It evoked all types of depth-realizations and memories in me. Very touching, honest, raw, and not without divinity. So, one of these realizations is the nature of love to me. To me, love is screwing up but somehow hanging in there and asking forgiveness – over and over again. It is also others screwing up but you somehow hang in there with them no matter what – over and over again. You know, to me, love is kind of like gravity – you just can’t escape it. You think you can escape it by not calling it love but it remains love no matter what. So, I guess love is the greatest Mystery. When we are young, we think of love in terms of another person … a savior of types. You know, it is mythical! … or magical! As it should be. Now, being old, I think of love in terms of gravity … a universal presence … something everyone knows exists but really is clueless as to what it really is … just like gravity.
There is an expression. I think it goes, “No matter where you go, there you are!” Is that it? I think it is … Anyway, the expression is completely wrong. Everyone knows this is not true through experience. It should read, “No matter where you go, there love is.” You really can’t escape love. I really can’t escape love. I’ve tried. Have you? Any thoughts?

Yes. All scrambled like the proverbial egg though. I guess in context it is not possible to escape love, but it is possible to be temporarily blind to it, or on glimpsing it, to take it for granted. One shall have to seek out this film and absorb it as you have. Sounds like a cracker! |

Love is an intensity of affinity that we direct our attention on to give and receive happiness…I would much rather have love and the greatness that comes with creating it.
