Off to explore Carcassonne

Catfish said Oct 4, 2007, 5:54 AM:

I really felt a connection to the Cathars when I read a book on Cathars and Reincarnation, and when I looked up Carcassonne, an important city in Cathar history, I got major goose-bumps looking at the pictures of the old town.

So I'm off to Carcassonne next week to explore and see if it triggers any memories.

Ever since I made the decision, little synchronous things have happened – like the book I'm reading based in Da Vinci's Italy (not Cathar France!) mentions the Cathars and Carcassone.

I'll tell you all what happens!

Good travels and good memories, Catfish!
…I suspect that even if memories are or are not immediately realized, the opening of the doorway will be evident and irreversible.
Peaceful journey….

So I never got around to the telling part…

I didn't feel any immediate connections to Carcassone – no goose bumps, no overwhelming sadness or anger, no odd dreams. And I didn't have a delayed reaction like I have done with another place.

I did love Carcassone – it's hard not to with such an amazingly restored medieval castle, set on a hill by a river, surrounded by vineyards, with lots of really friendly southern French folk, and fine French wine!

However,  there was some fabulous sychronicity going on, I met some great characters, and I learned alot.

If I've ever been there before, it was a time of happiness and peace.
