Spirituality on the home front.

sandy said Jun 4, 2007, 10:57 PM:

While signing into zaadz is always a spiritual “check in “-
it is harder in real time on the home front!
Here,we have many pods with deep and profound posts
and we are blessed to share and be part of these insights.
But -“out here” -where we all have to live and gravitate around,
it can at first be a major battle to be real and then a bigger one
to help others with their transition.-especially as most transitions
are most reluctant initially!

Do other members find it hard too -or are you already blessed
enought to be in a spiritually enlighted environment?

Left my job, left my house, left my credit cards, took my family with me and dropped out for nearly 12 months.

Came back into the real world, with no compromise.

Now use previously attained legal skills to assist people in our wonderful Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal…great environment for many reasons. Don't watch TV unless I know what is on. Spend most my spare time on the internet with likeminded people. Don't try to convert anyone; they nearly have to ask me a question before I'll offer an opinion. Wu wei everyday; always taking the easiest path.

Awesome experience -no wonder you were able
to come back so centered.
Although we can't all get away -it is important to
“take in the silence” sometimes.

For an ex-Country girl -the City can be hard to get away from,
sometimes.
I have my little place where I can find solace though and be
at one with Nature.

But for me -I am not blessed with a like-minded family
or many of my friends.
How can I not “fight” to bring them back to themselves?
How can I not try to say the words than one day may remind
them of the truth of our lives?

My ex-husband has tried with all his might to stop me-
in fear of losing me.
As one of his friends said -he has been the
“Devil's Advocate” -I am still not sure of the source
of his betrayal to all that is good and right -but
whoever it was -they have a lot of power over him.

I haven't posted on this thread for some time -
so am wondering just how much others have come
along in their development?
I have been fighting the usual battles on my home front -
BUT - have made a few little positive steps!
While there are still many around me that struggle with the
spiritual concept -they really are at last seeing it in me.
So if they are being more accepting of me -then at least they
have come along quite a few steps themsleves -
and it's a great relief not to be thought crazy for my beliefs !!

Today it all actually balanced !
Not just here with like-minded people - but
out in my world -my neighbourhood -
in my day - in my life -.
Balance  must equal justice and the squales felt even at last.
It was a beautiful feeling and at long last I thought -I like being me!

Sandy, that sounds great! You're right, and we've to keep trying to balance all areas of our life. When it comes together as it did for you, it can help us in other times as well when things threaten to unbalance!!

Re: Spirituality on the home front.

sandy said Mar 14, 2008, 5:41 AM:

Yes - it was wonderful!
But it was so much more than just balance -
it was real and a great breakthrough for me to be
able to be myself at last openly and obviously spiritual.
Oh -and having a big day on the activist front was the greatest
achievement because for once my neighbourhood let me do it!
And that is a very long story!
To be honest , I am recognised now as an activist as apposed to an environmentalist
in my local area , at the least.
It's a big step up and rather strange to get used to , being a
naturally shy person!

Already there are people meeting in person from Gaia-

Oh dear ,things here seem to rise and fall -like the tide.
One minute you have reached your'e peak and can feel other's
lifting their own spirits -then crash , bang and down they go again!
I can only keep them there when I am constantly with them -other
wise they seem to drop down the black hole again.
Attaining the perfect harmony was but fleeting -but oh the
“taste” of it -the joy to feel it the delight to be able to show oneself
was such an experience that I shall forever hope to achieve it again!
I have held myslef true ,and am what I am -why is that so hard for
other's to understand.
Their light can shine like mine and I never tyr to dim theirs-
but boy -there are some dimwits around!

spirituality -to some -is strange -to show it even stranger ,
depending on the people that surround you.
It even frightens some -because although they read of it and

I guess they are the sort of people that “burnt witches” in the old

Many other pods have discussion's about how hard it is to be
spiritual -or enlightened ,which ever word you prefer,
on the home front, amongst their peers.
I find that too -many times other's around me,have been on the same
wave length -only to become fearful of the goodness of it,and afraid
to be open about it.
Many, many times I have helped them lift their spirits again, and only
had the support of other's here at Gaia.
But to my knowledge, there are not as many spiritual/pychic pods here
anymore and cannot help but wonder if they left here when we changed
from zaadz?
That was one of our main interests and interests here have changed quite
a lot?
Many of my previous friends were in fact practising their trade and I was
told with my abilites,I too could make money from advising other's.
I have never chosen to do that, but now I question if that IS the only way
to be recognised as such-in every day life.
While many people I know have now realised and accepted there are
people that have gifted abilities -they are still unwilling to accept mine.
I wonder if anyone has any suggestions about how to overcome this?

I have been reading many posts, all over Gaia, on
Spirituality and they have helped lift my heart again!

I am at my most happiest, when I can let my “light shine”,
for all to see, but for many months now, I have not been
able to shine on the outside.
I know the glow is deep inside me, within, and am still aware
of mineself, yet saddened that I cannot share that.

I am also aware, due to physical injury, how that can
“shadow” one, as much as emotional pain.
Therefore I understand how many people there must be
who are shadowed from their light and how their dimness
does affect those around them.

May the Spirits shine bright, at home and afar and may we,
one day all bask in the glow of awareness.

I am responding to the opening post which threads through all the others. I took my spirituality to work this time and am transforming myself and those around me with that spirit. I watch over college kids and help them party safely. My bosses have seen, on their bottom line, how doing this job compassionately, decisively and openly has made a space for the residents to make chioces. They are choosing to party more respectfully, less intensely and are thankful for the options. They ask me about my meditation, about my smile, about why I did not call the cops.
I chose to bring myself to work, not just mail it in. I chose to take risks that were not risks-they were rewards. I hope you all can do that also in your workplaces now or in the future.

When our group was drumming last night we did a sort of freestyle jam session - we all did different beats but the whole thing came together into one harmony - this is experienced as a bliss moment, our drums are like mother earth's and our own heartbeats….these sort of times enhance our connection to our inner own rhythm and help us to blend that rhythm with others…there are so many ways to connect with one another, to lift our consciousness and experience “the moment” when we come together in unity and oneness.
