What's the weather doing today ?

Today it is gloomy, showery, thunderstorm predicted
and a high of only 19 deg-

The Kookaburra's outside my window are finding the whole
thing hilarious and are laughing their heads off!!!

Sounds like a lovely Sydney trip Jenny -but you didn't
say what the outcome was about your eye?
Hope it will be okay?

Had to start a new thread Tai -which is always a shame,
because I love looking through the previous posts.
But- what can you do- it was soooo slow loading -
guess we will just have to make this thread as interesting
as the previous ones!

It is nice to chat in cyber-space, on the topic that is
most talked about in real life!

It's pouring down in England, dull and cool - temp 72 F - 22 C pressure just below 1010.
We seem to get the same weather pattern here a week after America!

The weather here is much the same as yesterday,
perhaps a little warmer and with a little more sunshine.
We are looking forward to better weather over the weekend though, which will be nice for everyone:
Not much difference in our temps today -Tai-
although one of us is in winter and one in summer -lol !

Yes it's strange that our summer/your winter and still the same temperatures!
Woke to sunshine this morning, so got up and got going - it's much easier to get up on a sunny morning…not sure what the weather man has said for today…I try and do jobs according to the weather…The ironing pile is growing, with the hot weather I put it off but seem to do more washing!

reflections on “newt pond”! 10 mins walk from my home…great place to spot damsel flies and dragon flies too!

Pretty spot indeed Tai!
Yes, one tends to rise earlier in summer- where as here in the midst
of winter, I snuggle in my bed as long as I can!
Going down to a low of 10 degree's tonight -but the good news is we
have some fine and warmer weather on the way.
Now as long as it is wind free- I shall be more than happy!

thanks Sandy - warm night here, dull and cloudy morning.
So warm and sunny yesterday, sat outside for our meditation and had a picnic outdoors too - it's wonderful to share food with everyone.
One of our group members is learning Kum Nye, and so is teaching us too - wish you could have shared the stillness of the breath with us - felt so chilled out - Vinegar the black cat shared our meditation and him and his brother joined us for the picnic - think they could smell the salmon!

Thanks for your concern about my eye Sandy and Tai. It is sort of ok as long as I keep putting gel in it 2-3 times a night and drops during the day. I have to go back to the cornea clinic every 3 weeks till it heals. This morning I woke up feeling a bit better especially as I didnt have work. Everyone at work has been really nice to me though. Havent felt much like getting on the computer when I get home as it was aggravating it.

happy morning, only woke once last night to put gel in my eye and this morning it was ok, lid didnt stick to cornea, feeling happy. Home alone today for the first time in ages. Looking forward to getting things done in my time.
Weather damp and wet and overcast. Let the bunnies out for a  run. They have extended their exit hole.

had a warmer day here today and tomorrow we are “supposed” to be
going for 24-25deg -which will be lovely -if it happens!
Can feel already at just after 3pm, that it is going to be a cool night!

just a little uner 72 F, and a little under 1010 - humidity about 75%  Rained for ages after tea here last night - dull morning again.  Hot in the night, but cool when I went to bed - Watched most of Lord of the Rings, but kept falling asleep! must have really needed it!
Hazel says OMG not another photo opportunity, and yes this is my best side, just get on with it, I need to eat some grass and extend my exit hole some more!!

18 deg down to 7 deg tonight here.
Actually just got back from down your way again Jen, just 2 nights -
and I found the temp very similar to here.
Seems the last time we were down it really was just a cold snap-
and I certainly did not find it as cold this time :)

Lol, Tai -Hazel must be getting used to being a “model” by now!

Hazel is still busily renovating her hutch. The lowered floor in the loungeroom is quite cosy. She still doesnt think much of the mezzanine floor though and refuses to use it even when it rains. The only time she goes up there is during thunderstorms. The back door is really wide now. If she makes it any bigger the paver we have over it will fall on her head. This morning we took the paver away for them to get out and run around and she refused to go because she wanted to finish the latest renovation of her loungeroom floor. She's becoming really houseproud. Then she went out several times and came back in and lay around with Yoda resting before getting up and going for a run. She is such a little lady.

Weather here is cold again. I'm looking forward to going to Darwin for a bit next month where it is nice and warm, around 32'C up there, to visit my baby grandson, and his lovely parents of course.

Sandy, I hope your family is enjoying Newcastle. We are also flying to Townsville for a weekend in august. My daughters godparents live there and her godmother is turning 50 so we are going for a surprise flying visit. We dont normally go anywhere but these two visits have come up unexpectedly.

Speaking of weather its great to go somewhere warm in the middle of winter.

77 F here 13.58 still dull - comfortable temperature for me - cut my son's hair today, don't recognise him now, so short and neat - wow, it suits him!

Sunny saturday morning Tai and sandy. Hope your son likes his cut.  looking forward to a great day here. Will take the camera out for a walk at some stage and report back here.

He does, he's been acting different and looking at himself!  he has an animation workshop today - helping to teach 8-11 year olds, he was getting so excited last night…Dull and wet here in England, even got the light on 6.40am - it was good hearing the wind in the night, makes me feel so connected to the great outdoors - look forward to your photos Jen..

Animation workshop sounds lovely, the kids will love that. I wish he was here to put one on for the kids I work with.

So much rain in the night and dull again this morning and showers ..
I so love your pictures Jen, looks peaceful and tranquil and so blue…
The kids loved the animation, my son brought home some little cut outs of characters that they had done, he is doing another workshop on Wednesday, needless to say he's looking forward to it…
I'm glad he liked the hair cut too, I used the clippers and graduated and left it longer on top by special request!

Sun, sun, sun, for us today and we are going for 23 deg tomorrow :)
These are the sort of winter days that are very easy to take!

And- sparing a thought for all the homeless in our cities, at least they will
not be as frozen - over the next few days at least.
Spare a thought and a blessing for them as you sit back over your heaters/fires
or fans and aircon's ?

yes -9 deg is rather chilly -but that's about our average night temps here
at the moment!

Guess the difference in summer and winter temps being similar is the humidity,
Tai. That is what really makes the biggest difference -and boy do we complain about it in the summer!!

Another beautiful winter's day today -washing on line and I plan to
get out in the garden later to do a bit of pruning!

very strange after being only 9 last night.

dull, dark and damp, bit warmer today, there wasn't much bird chattering this morning, they were probably all hiding with their heads under their wings because of the rain!  the summers here for the last few years have been pretty wet and cool, then the occasional blast of heat for a few days…

wish you could too, it was so gloomy and depressing yesterday, heavy and oppressive, headachy weather!

good sunrise today but still so dull and heavy here…bring on the sun our earth here is saturated and soggy! I even found little mushrooms growing in my planter amongst the lettuce, rocket and young beetroot…

Hope the weather has lifted a little for you -it can be depressive when
it is gloomy like that.

Our day, although still warm-ish -has been nothing on the glorious day'
we had yesterday.
It was just enough to give us the taste of Spring -and the knowledge
of what we have to look forward to!

Nice and sunny yesterday - great day for washing!
Bit dull here at present 7.39am, coolish, hope it brightens soon!
We get little mushrooms in the lawn sometimes too, we're on clay soil so it get saturated easily!

For us in Brisbane, it is a lovely, sunny day -with a high of 21 deg and an expected low of 11 .
Spring is not too far away :)

IT feeels cold here today and cloudy, a good day to do very little. I just made crepes for breakfast with passionfruit that just came off the vine. I forgot to photograph the crepe!!!!

It's drizzling in England but had a wonderful sunny day yesterday, enjoyed a friends birthday party - we drummed …the party was outside and it didn't rain once!
Wonderful sunrise this morning, hopefully will be sunny later…the weather is playing havoc with the internet connection!

Sounds like a lovely day Tai. Its sunny and clear blue sky here this morning, only 8' at the moment but will pick up. I have to go to work though and will miss it.

68 F/20 C here almost 80% humidity - damp and dull, grey cloud - rained all day yesterday…The party was good, enjoyed playing with the children, taking pictures and videos, even went on the trampoline!
