Well, it was 27 degrees in Brisbane today -a perfect day really!
We are into Spring and those very cold temps of Winter are
finally over.
Now it is the pleasant -before the intense heat -so I intend to make
the most of Spring :)

 After a great summer,  just before the weekend it looked like autumn had made its entrance with chillyness, storms and loads of rain, BUT the wheathergods have made a total turn around: SUMMER's BACK!  It started yesterday with an absolute perfect day. My daughters best friend got married in a beatutiful little white church in what used to be a small village now belonging to the city of Amsterdam. Since the wheater was so gorgeous I decided to take my bike on the train and bicycle there. I rode over this quaint little dike, I kind of forgat about,hadn't been there since childhood,  and it was just fantastic.
Today is another beautiful september day with high temps and its going to stay dry all week eventhough the temps may drop a bit, but that would be perfect for gardenwork for now its too hot for that.

It's been sunny and warm here this morning and yesterday, now it looks like rain!
80% humidity, unlike some parts of America with 95% today!  It's 74F indoors here and back to tee shirts.  We have a “high” over the British Isles weather map today!

Sounds like your summer weather has been a little better than ours in England Alluvja!

We have 27 deg today -but tomorrow I am off on Hols to visit my family-
and it is going to be SO much hotter!!!

Enjoy your break Sandy…  Sunny start in England, rained later in the day yesterday, which is quite normal, a mix of the two, it feels a bit airless today - about 22 C indoors today..

Noticed a lot of fallen leaves and acorns while I was out, so yes Autumn in England too - I love the colours of Autumn…

Fall/Autumn for you both Nicole and Tai -
and Spring here!
I have been up North and it sure felt like Summer already up there!
34-35 degs only colling down to about 25 at night!!!
Wonderful though -it is such a different way of lifestyle in other climates-
amazing the day to day differences the weather really does make!

It's been sunny and and off, real chill when the sun goes behind the clouds today.
Think 34-35 degs is sooooo hot, rarely experienced in England !!

windy red dust storms sweeping across the continent and feeling somewhat out of kilter. Woke to a red glow all around due to the dust so grabbed my camera and started clicking. Heres the view from my bed at 6.15 this morning

Magnificent photo Jenny! Such a red sky -totally amazing!
We got the dust storm about midday here and it closed right in-
was very eerie.Had to shut the doors and windows as you could actually
taste the dust/smoke.
It had cleared a little now, though I hear there may be more to come
and that it is even extending across the Tasman to New Zealand!

On the radio and T.V they were warning everyone with Asthma and
breathing difficulties to stay indoors and I was thinking of them -
as it was bad enough for us and I had an irritating cough all day.

When Amy was 2, (15 years ago) we went to New Zealand and there were lots of bushfires in Australia. From New Zealand's west coast you could actually see the glow in the sky above the sea horizon and the smoke and dust coming across. I thought that was quite incredible then. Now doubt it will be the same this time although there isnt much smoke in this lot.

yes it probaly will Jen, , but not much smoke,as you say.
I too remember seeing that phenomena in N.Z -with
smoke from the bushfires in Australia -but that was many
years ago, when I was a child.
Thankgoodness today is clearer -but the dust has lingered and
I have been trying to clear it all day!
The wind is down to a soft breeze and we have a mild 28 deg today.

So much cooler here, no dust storms or bush fires thank goodness, your climate seems to have such heat, ours is pretty damp most of the year!

My grandmother grew up in Scotland and she said it rained or snowed every other day there and on the days it didnt rain they had wet weather. She loved the Australian bush and the eucalyptus grey/greenness of it. She loved all the variations of not green that we get in vegetation. I love it too. 

In New Zealand when I first went there we drove down the west coast and I couldnt believe how green it is there. They get a lot of rain. Eventually I felt so sick I shut my eyes to keep the green out. I had lived in Canberra for some years and it hardly ever rains there. Its so dry.

I think New Zealand is beautiful but when I arrived home I almost bent down on the tarmac and kissed the ground, I was so glad to be back where its a bit drier and the colours are less grEEENN.

Hello Friends,

I cant believe the great wheather we've had in the last copple of month. Great summer and now september 24, eventhough you can feel fall is in the air and the vegetation is changing colours it's still wonderful wheather, we had a few cloudy days but the sun is back. ok the temp dropped a bit, but with around  19/20 degrees, sunshine and hardly any wind today it feels much warmer. I love this kind of wheather. Anything over 25/26 gets too hot for me.  This is warm enough to sunbathe,  and perfect to do things, when it gets too hot for me its harder to get moving, especially when the air is humid. So this is very nice and I thoroughly enjoying it while it lasts. We might have a change after the weekend.

The morning in Singapore start with the beautiful sunrise where the color of orange and blue filling the sky, and suddenly the black clouds came to appear like eating away the blue , slowly but surely. there was rain and wind which lasted for one hour.  As fast as it came , the black cloud slowly disappearing replaced by clear blue sky . 
Today I appreciate the blue sky more than the other days. With a little rain to cool off , it's been nice and shiny through out the day .

This morning is a great day sunny 25' C beautiful and clear. Slight cooling breeze. The weatherman says we will have another duststorm on the weekend. I hope not. Everything is red from the last one. You should see everybodys cars. We have all decided not to clean them until after the weekends duststorm.

So lovely to come in and read about everyone's weather, around the World-
better than a weather report, anyday as it brings it home and personal!

We too are waiting in Brisbane for the major cleanup in case we do get more
dust -they have even relaxed our water restrictions to enable us to do so.
A sunny 30 deg today -but oh how we wish for rain to cleanse the earth!

Cool here in England, amazing sunset last night dusky pink and grey in bands, faded to pale pink with a bright golden white light around the setting sun.  Noticed on previous occasions that around the equinox the sky is amazing!

No - wish I had !  I was on my way out, so by the time I'd sorted things out, the sunset colours had almost disappeared !
It was only 66F indoors yesterday, so I put the heating on in the morning…
The sun came out in the afternon and the washing dried OK. 
It's such a contrast to your weather, I hope the dust isn't radio-active and that you get a little rain to dampen things down over in Aus.

that looks beautiful Tai. We had very windy weather today which brought more dust but blew it away again too. I have been cleaning up all day. My hands are dried out. The dust is so fine it gets into everything and its red. When I woke up I could taste it and my nose was blocked. People living in Central Australia are laughing at us whinging. They get dust storms a lot. Its just that it never happens on the coast. Apparently its typical of what climate change does. It was cool today and yesterday in Canberra my son said it was only 6'C all day.

I'm glad we don't have the storms here at present, our weather has certainly changed too and it definately affects how the plants grown, and what thrives and what dies.  Bumper crop of apples now at my parents, some fruits have rotted on the trees as mine did, it's been so wet, some apples were huge.  Dad says it's the best crop he's had in over 20 years! 
Staying indoors may be the best bet when you can, it looks sort of eerie…

dust storms.
You can breathe better and it reduces the amount of dust coming inside.
As Jenny mentioned -this is the norm for some of our fellow Aussies-
and they have the red dirt to contend with, poor things!

Yesterday it blew a gale and was cold all day -but today the wind
has dropped some and we are reaching for 28 deg.
I just had my coffee in a sunny, sheltered spot outside -as it is still
quite cool inside the house -can STILL smell the dust though!

Its raining today. I hadnt realised how awful that old childrens rhyme is till I wrote it down. Dont know what past historical event it might be about.

This rain should settle all the dust. Am worrying about the friends and relatives in Samoa at the moment where they had earthquakes and a tsunami recently. Many countries are suffering from the weather in the southern hemisphere at the moment.

Yes Jenny, I was thinking of you -having friends and relatives in Samoa -
and I have had them in my heart -those suffering from yet another tragedy.

And Tai -if only you could send that rain to us -here in Queensland we are
so dry and we need the rain to cleanse our earth.
Our temperatures have ranged over 10 deg in the last few days -from 34 to to 24!

Mother Earth is sure feeling unsettled at present…we so much need to settle in ourselves - to feel easy inside and then Gaia will have our loving support.

Bit chilly here yesterday mix of cloud, showers, sunshine and cool wind - indoors it's been cold first thing in the morning and after tea, so the heating has come on ..

You have such a beautiful country Jen and sandy, the english countryside is so green, we have had many wet summers in the past few years

Dull here in England, autumn is definately here - nights can be warm as we have had lots of cloud.

Can't believe the cold spell we are having at the moment -down to 23deg
again!
And we actually have some drizzly rain -not the downpour we need -but at
least a little -enough to freshen things up -though not water them.
Our creeks are getting dried out and the only thing to save them is a torrent of rain!

Your bike ride in the countryside sounded lovely -lucky you!
Such a contrast from when I go for my walks, here in the city -
pounding the concrete foot paths!
I must admit there are a lot of bike tracks in our city and they
lead through some of our lovely parks- but you can't beat nature!

It was a bit warmer today though we have had some gusty wind and big
delays at the airport this morning, due to a heavy fog.

Again the winds blow -with remnants of the dust and a tinge of bush
fire smoke.
The ground dries and the plants shrivel and we are not even in Summer yet!
Our water restrictions stop us from watering the plants so once again
it is “survival of the fittest”.
The greenness of our city but a fond memory…

Thanks Sandy, it's part of the view on my bike ride - nice and green, the stream runs along just below the tree line
It's around 20C here in the house with the heating on low and yet again another dull and cloudy day - managed a good bike ride yesterday, I'm slowly cycling a bit further!
Met this little pony on my travels on Saturday, he came right up to the fence…

warnings will be announced on Twitter and Facebook too!
Great idea, as many are online as apposed to watching the up-dates
on T.V.

There are so many on facebook now, my son is on it and some of my friends too.
Weather here was pretty mild yesterday, went out without a coat, but it has been cooling down a lot after tea.  The clocks change on Sunday so it will be a little lighter in the morning, it's been so dark recently…think it's 1 hr back this time!

Wow- the photo is picture perfect Tai -just as I imagine England to be!
I didn't know you had daylight saving over there?
Most of our States do here, though not in Queensland, where I live-
so we are sort of out of time with everyone over the summer!

Today we are going for 29 deg -with the promise of a hotter weekend
coming up -and sadly no storm clouds on the horizon.

Our local park is under restoration, the contractor's stopped work several months ago, so unfortunately for our town the area is covered in piles of soil and rubble and fenced off - one half of the park with the children's playground is still in use, with the cafe and WC's but the boating lake has no water - it will be wonderful when it is open.  We used to go pretty often when I was a child to visit the rabbits and there was a wonderful little stream - the animal center was closed years ago and the stream drained - this area had such a wonderful tranquil feeling…  Maybe when the park opens again these things will be restored too!

When was the last time it rained Sandy?  Over here it is pretty dull and cloudy with drizzly rain over night - 1010 pressure and house humidity 80 - temp in house around 70F (with the heating on low!!)

Its finally happened -it has rained !!!!!
More than rained- we had a wonderful big thunderstorm last night-

power was lost and flash flooding even!!
Although we haven't had as much as our Southern States -is was
pretty awesome and wonderful.

The most amazing thing is -the barren waste that was our lawn -has
green patches in it already -overnight!
We do have a bit more rain forecast over the next couple of days-
so here's hoping we get that too, to “back it up ” :)

Hello -I am so pleased to be able to add that we have had some more rain-
not as heavy as the first downpour -but rain -never-the-less!!
Now even the leaves on the plants are turning green again and the
re-covery of the lawn is amazing me… after months without mowing-
we may actually have to do so soon!

Nature has such amazing powers of regeneration - so glad you've had some more rain over in Aus.
Was sunny for a while yesterday….cloudy and dark today, I have the light on while I'm typing - still not dressed and it's 8.34am - just had my breakfast - must do some housework today at some point - got a meeting on Sunday, so I need to tidy up in the lounge - we're celebrating the changing of the seasons and doing some drumming!

Sandy - dark here and so windy and rainy - real heavy rain, not like we usually get, must have blown over from Aus - even flood warnings - it's 8.34am with the light on over the computer.  Just hoping the weather doesn't put off people from coming over a distance today!

We are working our way up towards the heat again to day -the temps
are starting to rise again and the skies are clear once more.
A balmy 27 deg -with 30 promised for tomorrow!

The sun was shining by 11am yesterday and we had a good meeting - one of my friends brought her book on i ching and we did readings - very interesting….
Dull and cloudy here today - sort of normal weather for the time of year - did a little drumming yesterday afternoon after dinner.
The clear skies sound good Sandy, could do with a day of sunshine to get out and have a bike ride this week, didn't get chance for one last week.

Delightfully -we had a another storm last night!
Although some were hit by hail and a house on the Gold Coast was
struck by lightening!
Not so bad here -but the rain was most welcome.
Today we will cool down a little, after the heat of the last 2 days
and there is some more rain/showers forecast.
It would take at least a week of solid rain to get to the roots of
our parched plants and trees -but we are grateful for every little
drop we get!
I will try and start a new thread as this is taking long to load-
but I have been having problems doing so and may have to reply
on you Tai, to do so….
