Weather thread 7

Taikunping said Nov 6, 1:39 AM:

Thought I'd start a new one!

As usual dull, cloudy and damp here..really dark at night now the clocks have changed, but better in the morning for waking up to.
Glad you got the rain Sandy, you just need a steady flow now to get down to all those parched roots…!
Love and hugz
Tai

a little english countryside in summer - so green and lush - loads of rain here in the summer too!

Oh the English Countryside look picture perfect!
Thanks Tai -well we haven't got a steady flow - but there is still a little
rain around and it is a bit cooler today too -which is nice.

Thanks for starting the new thread- I still can't -MUST report it to Matthew!

Some sunshine today, may get out on my bike at last!
Is it just in this group Sandy where you can't start the thread?  I can report to Matthew if you are unable to…

Rained yesterday, so I'm drying washing indoors and all the windows had condensation this morning…

Although we were off to an overcast start -the sun is now out and has
some warmth to it!
The promised showers haven't appeared -but it is only 1.30 pm -so still
plenty of time in the day for it to happen!

No, it's not just here Tai -I reported it –but could't start a new thread
in Gaia Support either. So I hope Matthew sees where I have posted- just
had to jump in on another discusion.
Haven't heard back yet- so if no reply in a day or two -perhaps you
could start one in there for me, about it-thankyou…

Well although our weather has been much the same-our Southern States
have been sufferring a heat wave -with temp up to 40 deg!
Looks like we are set to warm up next week too- though I shall be away most
of the week and will hopefully miss it -lol!

Wet and windy but warm in England, not many leaves left on the trees here - had mist the other day too, don't get much mist here normally.

Sunny today, great day for opening the windows and letting the fresh air circulate, quite mild here in England!

Taikunping said Nov 17, 2:29 PM:

Quite sunny today, still a little damp to dry the washing outside - rained tonight - the room at drum circle was freezing, had to keep drumming to keep warm…

Gale force winds and rain all through the night - dark, cold and wet day, just turned up the heating and put on an extra cardigan.

Taikunping said Nov 20, 5:59 AM:

Beautiful sunny day so far, unlike yesterday when it was so dark and cloudy and very windy and wet - there have been many floods in northern england as the weather front moves northwards.

sandy said Nov 21, 12:07 AM:

Hot, hot hot -and bush fires in our Southern States- some of who have been'having an extreme heat wave-
so guess I shouldn't be complaing about 32 deg!!
Swap a bit of that cool weather with you Tai!!

  Taikunping : crystal soul

Re: Weather thread 7

Taikunping said Nov 21, 12:12 AM:

Some of that Australian heat might dry up the floods in the north..there was still more rain due up there when I watched the weather report!  There is plenty of water to put out those bush fires too…

It was pretty mild here yesterday - your 32 degrees sounds more like our warm summer months!

I have seen on the News, the dreadful weather and flooding that
has been happening in England, Tai-
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/8368999.stm

Such a contrast from us here -ah -Global Warming strikes everywhere!

Yes, such a contrast between the north and south - hoping for the “balance” point!
Dull, dark and raining here in England today ….

Weather report from England, dull with lots of rain - turning a little colder tonight.
Great spending time indoors….

The past week has been really really unseasonally hot here  around the 40'C+ . Fortunately it cooled down into the 30's for my sons wedding but that is still hot. Yesterday it dropped to the 20's which was a great relief.

  sandy : Activist and Ambassador

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Nov 25, 10:08 PM:

40 deg IS very, very hot -I really felt for you all down there!
Glad it cooled some for your Son's Wedding, Jenny and I BET
it's a relief to be cooler :)
We are comfortable at the moment wit 29 deg- but the temps
are set to rise again by the weekend.

Re: Weather thread 7

Taikunping said Nov 26, 1:14 AM:

Yesterday was so cold - with the heating on at 18 degrees, the house temperature was only 66 degrees in the morning so I had to turn the heating dial up when we were sitting down in the afternoon.  Even wore gloves to drive my son and his friend to the railway station at tea time yesterday, big jacket on too…!
Bit of sunshine this morning, hopefully we will have more later on.  Think we are going into the winter now, the gales have brought a chill to the air.

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Nov 27, 11:48 PM:

OMG -I can but imagine being cold!!
We have had SUCH a hot, humid day and the promised storm can't
make up it's mind if it will come or not!!
The cloud cover has kept the humidity trapped and although 34 deg
isn';t as hot as we get- today has been particularly tiresome!
My feet and ankles are swollen -and at almost 6pm -the cool down
has not yet happened!!

Re: Weather thread 7

Taikunping said Nov 28, 2:05 AM:

think we need somewhere in between your hot climate Sandy and England's cold one to be comfortable…We're back to dark and damp after being windy and cold yesterday.

  sandy : Activist and Ambassador

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Nov 29, 11:15 PM:

Yes- somewhere in between would not doubt be perfect Tai!!
Ah but what would we do if we coudln't talk about the weather -lol !

Hot again here to day and although we did have a storm last night -which
was destructive in some suburbs- here in Mitchie -we didn't have nearly enough
rain.
And very strangely- due to the dust which has been around again -it was lower
that the rain and our car, which was out in it- and usually has a “nature's
bath” -was actually covered in dust when the rain dried!!

Taikunping said Nov 30, 12:31 AM:

Hi Sandy - the weather affects our moods and energy so much, if it were perfectly balanced, maybe we would all be full of joy and happiness every day, and that would be just too boring!!
It was mild here yesterday, so I got my bike out, loads of soggy leaves littered the pavements and roadside, and there was a chill to the air but it was exhilarating!

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Nov 30, 11:19 PM:

Glad you got to have a bike ride Tai -while I had a swim today!
I don't know about boring though -wouldn't the world be a much better place if we WERE all filled with joy and happiness everyday?
It really would be heaven on earth then !

Taikunping said Dec 1, 12:26 AM:

Hoping the day will come, as humans can we ever be content…we all keep moving forward and evolving and meeting challenge in some way.  Maybe it will be our challenge to have joy, to hold it and accept it each day.

It's been frosty here, I could feel the cold descending as I sat indoors last night, we must be into the minus zone now, and it's soooooo dark this morning.

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Dec 2, 11:17 PM:

Oh my goodness, that sounds very cold Tai !!
We have had a cooler day down to 28 deg- so didn't even need the
fan on to sleep…

Yes, contentment in humans would be nice -and I hope we can evolve towards
that -greed and want is our biggest downfall -and advestising our worst enemy
against that.
We are so pre-programmed into thinking we can't live without material goods!

Re: Weather thread 7

Taikunping said Dec 3, 1:24 AM:

So dark here again and wet, not quite as cold as the wind has died down.
28  degrees sounds like summer over here Sandy!

Humanity has had the wake up call with the recession here, many small business are closing and many people are feeling the earth changes as balance comes into being.  The change will eventually reach the people at the top of the chain, then the “balance” point can be more sustainable and encompass humanity as a whole.

Well -very hot here today -34 deg and 35 expected tomorrow!!!
Lucky we can go for a short drive to the M.I.L's for a swim!

Sorry to hear how things are going there Tai -and we must add this discussion
to one of our threads- but not sure which one?

Sunny today, just been to a drum workshop - so much laughter and fun…The Lady Verdin trust opened their center to us in our local town and hope to go again - the next door business complained about the noise!!  Think the participants enjoyed it - one guy there was offering round cigars!

Not so cold today, still showers, doesn't seem to dry up completely.

Gee, at 32 deg, it is a tad cooler -with a few storms around- though
they seem to be steadily by-passing us!
We have a couple of cooler and maybe wetter days forecast- so that will
bring us all a bit of welcome relief.

Glad you have had a little sunshine of there Tai -give you all a lift!

32 deg sounds really hot to me, again our summer weather if we are lucky!

Re: Weather thread 7

sandy said Dec 19, 12:07 AM:

Hard to even imagine being cold now that we are becomming adjusted
to the heat!
Though must admit it IS hot and it can drain you very quickly.
But, the blood temperature heats up and we climatise -somewhat!
I hope for all our sakes though ,that Global Warming do not raise
our temperature too much more!
