Hi iljung - do you know what line of latitude you are on, we're on about 53 degrees north - seems a lot cooler in your part of the world, when do your temperatures get to the 70's, it's quite rare here to have temps in the 80's.

I love the kookaburras. They always make me smile. They remind me of childhood holidays and weekends for some reason. Siona I was thinking maybe some people didnt know what they sound like so went looking on Youtube. I never cease to be amazed by the stuff that can be found on Youtube.
Zephyr thanks for the links. We have recently had waterspouts in the sea off Sydney and that is unusual. I'll check the links out now.

It is 47 with frost and freeze warnings up north. Some places along the Canadian border get frost every month of the year. Highs in the 60's today with frost maybe in the suburbs tonight and a little warmer tomorrow. Had wonderful meditation with the birds in my zen sand garden. THe sand is so rejuvenating and supportive. I am the sand and my back scratcher is the rake.

Its 6.30am and very dark still and raining solidly most of the night. Hope the bunnies dont float away. Had them in the garage for a few nights and thought it would be less wet last night. The holes they dug have filled up with water so they have a swimming pool in their back yard. They seem pretty snug in their mezzanine though.

Its funny Sandy how the sand gets carved away but here at least in another week or two it will have all filled in again. Gets shifted from place to place and back. I think its when we start building structures, houses etc on the dunes that the balance is interrupted and it washes away in storms never to return.
The earth has an amazing ability to self heal given the chance a bit like our bodies. I think sometimes we get in the way of healing. We need to have faith in the self righting aspects of the earth and life in general. We probably interfere too much.

9.04am and it's been a hot night again (for England that is!) it's the warmest morning since the sunny weather started on Friday - about 75 F today, nice blue sky - would love to dip my toes in the Aussie sea to cool down. It's a little hot for drumming, but the bike ride was good yesterday, I'm gradually building up to a longer one, but when the weather cools down, which could be tomorrow....

What a lovely lot of posts since I last looked in. Its still overcast and cool here and about 15' C. I'm enjoying it. Finding it restful after summers heat, not that it gets as hot here as it did in Canberra when I lived there. Canberra has a dry heat which I like. Here on the coast its humid and can be even in winter. I dont enjoy the humidity so much.

Here is another photo of the lagoon, showing how it carved a big section of the beach out after the waves came in and let it go free.

      Hi friends,

Wheater report from the Netherlands, at least the western part which we call Holland. It's been very changeable, last week terrible wheater, heavy thunderstorms with mansoon like rains and chilly wheater and the last copple of days it's just been perfect. To me perfect is warm, nice warm not to hot: like 24-25 Celsius (mid seventies F) .There is a firm breeze, but it keeps it nice. Sat out on a sidewalk terrace and got some sun, while my daughter and friends went out swimming in the lake.
To me this is the kind of wheater i'd like to have all year around Lol. Not too hot, so you can still DO things. When it gets really hot over here it's usually also very humid, which makes it hard to bear. We're gona have a copple more nice days but by wednesday it's drop again low until around 16 C. (60 F) which is too cold for the time of year but to keep a positive outlook: good wheater to work in the garden.

Here is a temp converter for convenience :
