Sadly, this tree was poisoned, but now we have a memorial for
the dead tree…

This photo you have posted -it is the angle, or is that a very tall tree?
Beautiful foliage, although I don't quite recognise it -I feel as if I should!

Have not taken any more photo's as yet- have actually bee busy pruning,
the small shrubs- that arent so small when they grow- lol !

I think it's a silver birch Sandy and I took it looking upwards into the sun - it's a neverending job with the pruning….even in a small garden like ours..

the small track through the centre of the trees is now overgrown, the nettles grow abundantly here, lots of foliage for caterpillars - it must be a haven for all sorts of wilflife - it is so good to have “green spaces” …..

It's about 10 minutes walk away, to the right of the pic is a stream behind the trees and the local pub with a doctor's and chemist is the other side of the stream.  I love it there!  there's pathways for walking and bike riding too…

this picture is a on the way to my friend's house for drumming…the countryside is lovely and the roads are winding lined with hedges and mature trees, and lots of nettles, buttercups and hedge parsley

Oh how lovely, I love old trees. Unfortunetly we're as opposed to the western part, we still have woods with some magnificant old trees. I was  looking for a picture of one particular tree I have seen in the surroundings of Ootmarsum a lovely pitoresque village in the region of Salland in the province of Overijssel. It was a very old beautiful tree and the tale goes that  in the time of the reformation people secretly held Mass services under the tree.
Anyway the picture of this tree is taken in the same area as to give you an idea.

Wow, I also wanted to add a second picture when I posted the first comment but it didn't work right away and it took me a while to figure out how to do this but:
I did it yeh!

Sandy knows this Sacred Medicine Tree but for those who dont,  I like to share it with you, it's my treehouse in Yoville, if you enlarge the pic you can see that on the right site there is a sweat lodge as well. On the site the flames are actually moving.
I'm still intending to put a medicine wheel there, which I think is nice to do with a copple of people, each bringing a stone and put it out with an intention thru the chat function. When we focus and are Present, the energy is really there, eventhough it's on line.
So much fun!

I am so glad you have also shared the Sacred Medicine Tree with other
Gaia members.
It is very special to us that meet there and as you say, focus brings is
a special energy that truly is there. It is the closest we can be too each
other online and it is a pleasure to visit and to meet there.

Today I went for a walk near the inland waterways and hugged 2 huge eucalypts but didnt take my camera. 
Heres a tree I was stopped at the lights in Townsville and photographed it.

After the glory of the blossoms, come the fruit of the apple. Druids recognized the powerful transformative qualities experienced when consuming the apple. It was thought the fruit could transport the eater to other worlds, typically of a paradise-like ilk. Further altered states could be induced by pressing the apples and allowing them to ferment over time, thus producing a “hard cider.”
Apples were highly valued by the ancient Celts because of their ability to keep over a long period of time when stored in a cool dry place. This was symbolic of the presence of love, even long past the time of peak ripeness. In other words, when the waves of passion subside, love lingers even afterwards when simple companionship is the prime comfort.
Celts recognized all of the features of the apple tree and viewed it as pleasing in every way. It was even a symbol of creativity (as well as creation) and was an emblem of art and poetry. The meaning of apple trees is also associated with virtue, and the tree (as well as the fruit) is a symbol of purity and motherhood.

Just wish I could share the taste of the Discovery apple, it can be eaten or cooked - I haven't found them in the shops here in England either - my other 2 trees are James Grieve used for cooking

In our house our favourite eating apple here is Pink Lady, I like Golden Delicious and Granny Smith for cooking.

We've used Golden Delicious and Granny Smith for eating apples and Pink Lady is good for eating too - my friend took a bag of the Discovery apples back to Cumbria - I have a box of plums to eat as an exchange!

My favourite apple is the Pink Lady -though when i was a child,
'it was always the Granny Smith's= perhaps it was the name that

I Love OAK TREES!
They can live two hundred to four hundred years.
There is one in Maryland certified at one thousand years old.
If that tree could talk.
