Hi …
“Drones” are non-personnel flying machines that can do all kinds of amazing things, but they are especially good at dropping things. Unfortunately, right now, they are used almost exclusively for dropping bombs in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq.
The Drones are operated by remote control, much like a video game. Here in Nevada, we house “Creech Airforce Base” which is located about 40 miles north of Las Vegas, where the training of and development of the war drones takes place.
This weekend CODE PINK and other local peace organizations are activating to “Ground the Drones.”
On Friday, July 10, 2009, from 10:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Sahara West Public Library we are hosting a teach-in reach out here in Las Vegas.
On Saturday, July 11, 2009, we are dedicating the Code Pink 'encampment” for the “Ground the Drones.”
On Sunday, July 12, 2009, we are grounding our personal energies in the source of the solution within us individually at the Sekhmet Temple of Goddess Spirituality.
On Monday, July 13, 2009, we are supporting the monthly vigil of the Nevada Desert Experience at Creech Airforce Base to “ground the drones” as we reach out to those who are employed there at the airforce base and remind them that the drones can be used for amazing things that support and build-up the human spirit here on planet Earth.
Please support us in spirit or person – contact me if you have any questions or would like any additional information.
