MIA

Mamakat said Oct 25, 2008, 8:18 AM:

In case no one has noticed, our Lioness has left Gaia due to neglect.  How sad for us.

Connections matter.  Friendships (even cyber-friendships)  matter.  People matter most of all.  It may be months before anybody even finds this post, given the current state of our gigantic disconnect, but if you do find it, and you do care, go to Jami's profile page and leave her a message.  I suspect she still checks in from time to time just to see if anyone has noticed her absence.

I've noticed.  She's my sister.  And I really miss her.

Mamakat,

I honor the perceived loss of your connection to Jami.  I don't know her and perhaps never will.  Yet I believe something that might be compelling to you…

And it is simply this:  Connections never die; once made, they endure whether we see them or not.

That we are so much more than the evidence we plant to make us feel good, comforted, and respected.

That we are so much more than the evidence we plant to make us feel hurt, betrayed, and discarded.

My life is proof of this.

I don't know Jami yet, but I'm sorry to see anyone feel ignored or neglected. Her profile is all private, so I can't leave a comment - but I'm wishing her happier times…
