Jenny I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this group and reading of your experiences and queries in regard to dreams. For me, this is the "richest" pod on Gaia and I haven't even been anywhere close to half way through the discussions and posts. Thanks to all who contribute and to Ian for growing this group! two dreams

peep said May 13, 1:52 PM:

Hi, Ian!
I first joined your group in December.  I got very side-tracted, but I'm on an even keal now.

I had two dreams that confuse me.

One:  I was in the middle of a busy highway at night.  Traffic was flowing smoothly, rapidly (as it was a highway) and I was standing in the middle by the guard rail that separated the traffic going in one direction from the traffic that was going in the other direction.

On the opposite side of the guard rail (still in the middle of the highway) was a young woman, maybe 30, long brown hair, I think.  On my side of the guard rail was a young man, same age.  He was holding a white dog by its collar.  They were all facing me.  The dog was barking.  It was a friendly, glad-to-see-you bark and it was wagging its tail.

Dream two:

I was in my house and I think my brother was there.  He lives only about twenty minutes from me but he was visiting me in the dream.  He parked his two fire engines in my garage.  He doesn't have fire engines in real life (of course) and my garage wouldn't be big enough to hold them, anyway.  In the dream, a man (kind of Santa Clause looking, older, but not real old, beard, smile) stole the fire engines (drove the first, the second was towed behind the first).  I live in NH, USA - no crime, no theft, so it's weird to have such a dream.  What could it mean?  What does the first mean?

Dream One:
Here are some clues for you, Claire, to give you a chance at having a go yourself. See the bold text within your text below.
One:  I was in the middle of a busy highway at night.  Traffic was flowing smoothly, rapidly (as it was a highway) A road describes one's life - so what do you see?

and I was standing in the middle by the guard rail that separated the traffic going in one direction from the traffic that was going in the other direction.
I sense nothing of importance here - but you may.
Sense the timing of the 'event/s.

On the opposite side of the guard rail (still in the middle of the highway) was a young woman, maybe 30, long brown hair, I think.
Was this, is this you?

On my side of the guard rail was a young man, same age.  He was holding a white dog by its collar.  They were all facing me.  The dog was barking.  It was a friendly, glad-to-see-you bark and it was wagging its tail. Note the position of the characters on the one side [none  ”in opposition”]; white = spiritual, pure; dog = friendship, love; ALL positive indicators and all “facing” you - i.e. ahead of you or describing the present time in your life. I favour the latter.

Dream two:

I was in my house
“House” could mean your body (or “space”).
and I think my brother was there.
What does your brother bring to your mind? That may have a bearing.
He lives only about twenty minutes from me but he was visiting me in the dream.
If this fact was in the dream the figure 20 could mean something; if you are merely pointing out a fact of life there is no relevance.
He parked his two fire engines in my garage.    In the dream, a man (kind of Santa Clause looking, older, but not real old, beard, smile)
Can you connect this description with anyone? If so, what that person brings to mind has a bearing.*
stole the fire engines (drove the first, the second was towed behind the first).
* Looks as if this aspect of yourself has “stolen” your ability to “put out fires” in your life with the fact of 2 indicating this ability as strong.

So, a dream seemingly about your life and how you cope with things that happen. All told very positive except that something may have caused you to lose the ability  - temporarily, I sense.!

Thanks, Ian

Yes, putting out fires makes sense.  Now, I'll have to figure out why there were two trucks.

The woman in the first dream was not me.  I think it was over all good because the people were friendly and the dog was white and wagging its tail, etc.  I was curious, though, about why it was at night and in the middle of a very busy highway.  I think it's basically a good dream, though.

Sorry, I forgot something. About the number 20 in dream #2 - numbers can also be taken down to their single value e.g 20 = 2 or $ 5.00 = 5. The play on words etc. is a feature of dreams but why I cannot say; perhaps it is a matter of “translation” from one medium of communication to another - from “thought” to “words”!
The fact of two fire engines could be for emphasis rather than two fold.
Let us know what emerges.
