Tarot is world of symbols, like dreams. Every card has general and individual meaning (specified to one which is meditating on it or asking precise answer). Sun card represents the life and its origin, eternal light which is enlightening every being. It is placed in the center of zodiac cycle (phases of life). Two children with butterfly wings are life joy and simplicity, but they are + and - of the oneness (delusion of life and nature). Hill or mountain is awakening path. The wall surrounding top of the hill is final illusion which shields glance to a Sun, it is illusion of enlightenment.
In the Tree of life Sun card is situated in the center, it is connected to solar plexus.
Some Tarot practitioners said for Sun card: This card shows the simple human approach to the mysteries. The Suaisthe lord of life, liberty, light and love. The children are dancing with butterfly wings. They are surrounded by the signs of the Zodiac, showing the different houses through which the Sun passes.

As always, Vesna, it is the dreamer who is closest to the meaning of a dream. As for the card, I used to know a little about Tarot but the card does not mean anything to me as it is not one of the pack I had. Do tell me which card it is and give me a brief idea of what it represents and I may recall more (from about 12 years ago!).

You are always giving rich and colorful explanations. I see this dream as important evidence of shifting. I feel that I'm at edge of one phase, slightly moving into another.
Maybe this Tarot card could be inspiring from this point of view.

Very interesting!
I make three observations.
1. This may be an expression of your feelings about what I call "The crescendo of madness" that has taken over the "western world"'.
2. This could be a predictive dream using general imagery.
3. There may be a spiritual aspect to this; one built around the central image of the solitary mountain signifying the spiritual challenge as the answer to the madness. Around this symbolic mountain the dream builds the theatre of you, your family, the man in the derelict church (which in real life has done little, if anything, to guide its flock away from the madness) etc.
NB. In my book, of course, I use the mountain as the symbol of the spiritual challenge we all face.

Good evening dream world! It seems that this dreaming giant is resting in deep sleep!
This one is just to shake sleepers! Few nights ago I had beautiful colorful dream about day after. Catastrophe of humanity was presented in deprivation or disappearing of energy: fuels, electricity or any other kind of energy. Everything has stop and some people disappear, too. Existence in big cities become useless. Some people decided to go to their old houses and secondary homes. I haven't got mine and some of my friends suggested me to go with them, to southern part of country, to mountain and hilly region. It was logical, but somehow I feel uncomfortable and I decided to go to the north, to great plain, where was only one mountain. I thought that there is better environment and circumstances for agriculture practice. Moreover, it was originate place of my family, but connections were lost, long time ago. So, my daughter and me pack up what we need and went to the trip. There was some little village in wood, people was kind but houses were full. At the edge of village and cliff was old, half wrecked church. Since it was empty I decided to live there. In that building was just one silent man. Others tell me that he is strange, but he wasn't evil. I was grateful to my knowledge which helped me to live better to produce enough food. Man, who lived in church started to help me and things become much easier. I feel better, without stress present in previous life, without pressure, unnecessary information. It was my basis, no mater that it was hard.

Hi Sandy, since you were trying to find your natural parents it is quite likely you did; or that they have found you and made contact via dreams. Put in place some action to open this channel of communication and see what happens.

I have to add that they sure seemed real to me -at the time -
and the setting would have been at least 20 years ago!
Which is problay around when I was trying to find them -though
have since given up on it!!
But yes, ironically -I would not really have recognised them -not having
seen them -lol

Hi Sandy,
I doubt that they were your natural parents (although this cannot be ruled out) because since you do not know what they look(ed) like there would seem to be little purpose in their appearing in a dream of yours.
They could be spirit guides or other helpful discarnate spirits or nurturing, parental aspects of yourself - the parent in you so to speak.

It may have been your real parents and it may have been parents from a past life.

They may also represent aspects of your own self that you look up to as parental. These aspects may teach you, nurture you and love you in ways that only parents can. The dream may be telling you that it is time to reconnect with these aspects once again. Pop in to say hello, so to speak.

Another "just a little one" !

I had a dream of how I was younger and talking to my parents.
I gave my father a playful nudge and said to him,
"Don't be silly- it was wonderful to spend some special time with
just the three of us" and "after all I will be a long way away".
It was as if I was going on a big overseas trip.....

Note though -in real life- even though I moved Countries,I have not been
on a big overseas trip -AND
I am adopted and the "parents" I was with -although I saw them-I did not recognise them.
I have never met my natural parents- was it possibly them-
any thoughts on this one??

I hadn't considered the question of color of the unicorn when I awoke that day. I hadn't rebuked myself at all for the reference to loss of innocence or impurity.

Thanks for reminding me that kitchen and eating scenes represent spiritual growth; I had forgotten that, though I knew it at one point.

Yes, it was an overall feeling of elation, so the dream was positive.

Recently I realized that this dream is quite a field day for Freudian analysts. Consider the father reference, then the phallic symbol of the horn, then the physical contact between the unicorn and me, and there's quite a recipe for misinterpretation from third party evaluators. So, for all readers, it is the dreamer's interpretation that counts most to bring meaning to these dreams. Take all other advice with a grain of salt!

Thanks Jess, I am pleased to hear about the way you are approaching life - it is not how life is treating us that matters but how we treat life as it unfolds for us.

Don't be over critical of yourself apropos of the brown colour as there are degrees of "impurity" as we know and none of us is "lily white"!!! For instance, the restaurant and eating could symbolise knowledge and, through that, spiritual growth. Also, the brown did not seem to be dark and, hence, indicates mildness.
Since the overall feeling you had was one of elation I feel the dream is a very positive one with the "negative" symbolism more descriptive that essential.
Nevertheless, it is your interpretation that counts.

I remembered a thread in another group where unicorns are mentioned briefly
as an animal totem:
Unicorn Purity, innocence, dreamer, personal power, gentle

With this interpretation, I could say that an off white unicorn would indicate I don't feel so innocent anymore. And, I'm putting much more emphasis on my future dreams, and I also feel I've collected my own personal power. During my twenties I always felt like a child inside an adult's body. Now that I'm nearing 40, I do feel my personal power gaining in intensity.

That was a great question Ian. I haven't been around to answer your interesting threads I see you've recently posted. I've simply been busy with lots of other details in my life and haven't seen the activity here.

I would say that the white color of the fur indicates the purity associated with unicorns. Since the unicorn in my dream was a light brown, I suppose that would indicate I view myself as impure or corrupted in some way. The same would stand for its horn being that of a goat's "fake unicorn horn". It represents impurity. But still, even with these impurities, the emotion of pure joy could come through its heart into mine. Joy can exist no matter what.

I have often wondered what the spiritual significance of the unicorn is; it being a thing of interest to so many people. I cannot recall seeing a representation of a nasty unicorn anywhere. They all seem to be graceful and very evocative of the positive.
Also, I do not recall seeing any colour other than white - or perhaps light blue; is this the case or do they appear in various colours? If so, what is the significance of the various colours?

I'd just like to share this dream for fun, as it left me happy. As a quick backgrounder, I used to collect unicorn memorabilia as a preteen, and at that time I read fantasy novels where unicorns were a symbol of purity, healing, and magic.

part 1: I was at a reunion for workers who were together at the same dot com internet company before the dot com bust had to lay us all off. I couldn't recognize the people I'd worked with just ten years before, because they had all aged at least 20 years.

part 2: I was sitting in a crowded restaurant at a table with a girlfriend. She shared with me something like this: "You know I'm so glad I learned life lessons from my father. The best life lesson I learned from him was "you are what you eat". I can't wait to see him again."
I said, "At least you got to learn from your father. Unlike me. I got to the age of 18 and packed up, moved out and started learning from strangers." I had the feeling I could say so so much more about her lesson of "you are what you eat" and I wanted to talk about it with enthusiasm.

Then a brown unicorn entered the restaurant from the front door. Its coat was light brown, solid color. Its size was like that of normal horses -the back even with my shoulder or head. Its horn was short and loosely twisted, like the kind I've seen on mini unicorns at the renaissance festival (goats bred to have their horns twisted in the center of their head).

At first it walked purposefully towards me and I thought it might impale me. I had to turn around to see it coming. It approached me quickly from behind and pushed my body onto the table (I was still sitting in my chair). It stuck its horn into the table, pinning me down. Its heart beat against my back and started transferring emotion to me. I felt so happy, I started to whinny like a horse! My heart was jumping with pure joy.

I wanted someone to take my camera from the table and take a picture of me with the unicorn but no one did. I think the people in the restaurant were watching us and they tried taking photos; I was nervous the flash would scare away the unicorn, but no flashes went off.
