  Steve N. Lee : Writer

Spreading the word - unbelievably difficult.

Steve N. Lee said Nov 13, 2008, 8:38 AM:

Viral marketing, the power of the web, word of mouth… call it what you like, it's no good having the greatest idea in the universe if no one else wants to hear about it.

I'm a writer. Both my novel and my blog explore human rights and environmental issues with a view to raising awareness of such with a hope that enough awareness from enough sources will see such issues finally addressed.

And I'm finding it incredibly difficult.

Okay, people have to buy a book, but blogs are free, so why is it so difficult to drive traffic to them if the sole purpose is humanitarian? (Okay, not sole purpose - I do want to eat so it would be kinda nice to sell some books, too!)

So, that's my biggest challenge - getting the word out.

We could have an incredible world if we only tried. It's stunningly beautiful and showers us with such unabound love, and yet all we do is abuse it and turn beauty into ugliness. Why can't we appreciate what we have?

But, hey, you get the idea.

So, my challenge? Getting people to listen!

Have a great weekend, everyone,
Steve

I think truly the greatest obstacle for people is finding the balance; at least, that's my greatest challenge.  The majority of my life I have spent as a listener, an observer, someone who absorbs what others believe and have thought to form my own opinions and truths.

The problem is, I have the right, and the duty, to help others in much the same way.  With that said, when do we speak, and when do we support?  Striking that balance between activism and passive friendship is my biggest challenge and may be the challenge for your prospective readers.  Keep trying, because it just takes one dedicated supporter to propel your name into the world!

Good day, good luck, and good being!

To be heard, is the biggest challenge, I agree.
Finding a bigger “audience” is difficult-being that of the spoken, or the written word.
This used to bother me too -like when you know you have some brilliant ideas-
yet find it hard to “get them out there” !
But I came up with a theory, which is satisfying to me -
it doesn't matter if your words are taken, re-quoted or stolen.
AT LEAST they ARE getting into circulation -at the end of the day,
it is the action and not the creditation that matters!

Hello Steven,

I am a network marketer and I definitely struggle with this very same challenge. It's like I fail, I fail, then fail again, and the only thing that I can say is that 'I believe' and I get up the next day and try something else. I think Abraham Lincoln had these same experiences, and then became a great, great president.

So being a network marketer, I have found some connections to stay motivated so I have included a very uplifting video that you might find useful for spreading the word about your book.

HI Steve,

I understand. I am also a writer and on the web. Although the work, the research and the independence are great, building some economic stability is a challenge.

I recently got a free reading from SoulRealignment.com, and she said that my energy was low….. I have a feeling that if my energy was higher, then my site's energy would be higher.

What do you think?
PS:
I am working with Ho'oponopono to clear away the garbage….

I am working with Remote Viewing to find what I need to build the website.
