Light to help find a small boy

On my hike this evening, I stopped in my sacred place to add my heart and soul to the search for 3 yr old boy, Joshua Childers, who wandered from his home in our county of Madison in Missouri on Monday around noon.  The area he is believed to be in is very rugged woods and hills, streams and a river (those running fast and swollen from over a week of rains).

I've been keeping a nature journal, and after my prayer work, I stopped at a waterfall to draw something.  I was inspired to draw this boy in the woods and was surprised to see his picture tonight with the turquoise blue color I chose for his shirt, the brown I chose for his hair and the light skin - all reflected in a photo released by his family today (Missing 3 yr old Joshua).  

So, I feel I have connected, though that was not the shirt he was wearing when he wandered.  As I hiked home, I imagined myself him - I said in my mind, walk and rest, walk and rest, someone will find you.  The fear is gone but you will be found soon.

My hope is his family's hope.  My only stated desire is that he is found.  Please add whatever you do, in your own unique way, that the morrow may bring us all news.

My eyes fill with tears of joy to be a part of this community.  Thank you Ryon for the suggestion.  Yes, Lee, that is the picture I saw, after I had made a drawing of him.

I will let you all know whatever I know, as soon as any news reaches me.  My youngest is 4.  I can imagine easily, how the mom and dad must feel.  I am now turning, in contemplation, to the “feeling” of their joy as he is found.  Picturing the loving hugs all around.  And so it is.

You each have raised my own vibrational hope, with these beautiful words and your willingness to do work, for this little one.  Keeping discouragement and fear at bay is still an effort sometimes, even when we know to keep ourselves above it.

I can never thank you, to even the partial degree, my appreciation would wish.

My husband and 8 yr old son have gone to join the search.  My husband wanted to go yesterday.  Now that the dogs can no longer get a scent (due to rainfall) and others have wearied, it is a good time to go, when fresh searchers are needed.  My huband and son are quite used to hiking in very rough terrain (it is what our farm is like as well).

Thanks to Ryon's suggestion, I will draw a new picture of Joshua found, while my boys are away.  I can't believe I didn't think to do it that way, to begin with.  I guess I was just “connecting” to what is without remembering to guide what would be.

There is a new video up on my link above, at the top of the little list, that shows our area nicely, including the boy's home.  I did my drawing and my picture of the mobile home was not far removed from the reality.  I drew the boy between his 2 parents in a huge embrace, with a big red heart above, and lots of golden light all around them.

The sun is breaking out now, and the afternoon and evening promise to be drier, though we may get more rain tomorrow morning.

A Gaian friend wrote me that she sees him -

i see him at the bottom of a very steep hill, or sloping cliff, there's big rocks, darkish gray color rocks.  at first i thought he'd fallen, but i think he's okay, doesn't want to be found”

This rings true to me.  I recently hid from an unexpected rain shower under the overhang of a large rock,  when I got caught unprepared while I was hiking.  Our terrain is steep.  I would think the wild barking of dogs yesterday could have frightened him.


I am singing like the Good Witch in the Wizard of Oz calling the Munchkins out from hiding - “Come out, come out wherever you are, no need to keep on hiding, time to come and go home, my little munchkin”.

My husband and son just returned.  They were out searching when the boy was found.  It is his understanding that the boy simply walked home on his own.  He was “found” walking down the road in the direction of home with a smile on his face.

My last post was the “news” on the ground.  Local news says this - 

The Madison County Sheriff says Joshua Childers was found at 4:05 by a searcher about three miles away from his home. 



Becky Halpin, the wife of Donald Halpin who found the boy, said she could hear the boy crying in the background when her husband called her with the good news.  He told her he heard the boy crying in the woods.

The great grandmother in St Louis said she was praying the St Anthony, the patron saint of lost things and people, for the whole 53 hrs the boy was gone.  She prayed this afternoon - whether he's dead or alive, let them find him by nightfall.

yaaaaaaay!!!! His story began in one emotional place and ended in another beautiful result–being rescued, and that the journey of all created this outcome, both those doing lightwork and the volunteers, collectively we truly did make the difference.

Here's the children's woodsproofing  teaching children to survive getting lost in the outdoors;  The Survivor's Club  &  PBS kids has an activity page for parents to teach children about being lost.  Prevent Hints is a good read.  Baby lojacks or child locators with the duracell battery… I can see why parents buy these tools.

Thank you for filling out for me knowledge of St Anthony.  This whole thing has been such an amazing unfolding.  On Tuesday, my assistant's husband was part of the “professional” search team, as he is a dog handler for the prison system.  She told me the dogs were called off late Tues afternoon because they kept losing the scent at the river, and I could tell her belief in the dogs was so strong, that she believed the child's body would be found somewhere in the water.

As I left for my hike, I did not feel satisfied with such an outcome.  I stopped at my sacred place outdoors, where I pray and found myself spontaneously dancing power for the boy to be found, I feared to go further in my mind than that.  I touched the water there with the boy in mind but it felt empty, and only loving, to me.  On the ground, I felt surges of energy.  I left that place and walked to the waterfall, and there felt compelled to draw a picture of the boy in the woods with one shoe on (they found one of his tennis shoes 3/4 mi from his home) and the other foot bare.

Then, Tues night, I remembered this group and posted here.  When I came back in the morning, the outpouring of love and light, and most importantly positive belief in a good outcome, strengthened my feelings in a positive way and I will ever remember Ryon's suggestion to do a new drawing.  Next thing I knew, my husband and son were leaving to join the search.  I made my drawing.  I kept fear and anxiety totally at bay, but could not do any work but put most of my attention on this situation.  I posted on a missing child website that many were praying.

The Gaian friend who wrote me got the location right, she called it a very steep hill and mentioned big rocks.  Both were appropriate in our terrain, which ever I refer to as wilderness, not without reason.  Here they called the area where he was lost, extremely rugged, and said he was found in a ravine, near a creek.  I can tell you, I have been really studying our watershed the last few weeks and these “ravines” are extremely steep, tall hills that I can not climb straight up or down.

The man who found him was an ordinary citizen from our Madison county seat of Fredericktown, off work from his construction job because of rain, and had answered the call for more searchers, as my husband did.  He had small boys of his own.  The first day, they only searched about a 1/2 mi perimeter of the home.  The second day, they searched a grid of a 2 mi perimeter of the home.  Today, it extended out beyond that and that is why the call for more searchers went out.  The child was found 3 mi away, just over the Iron county line.

We can never prove that what we did here mattered.  I have been awed at how close my drawings have mirrored the reality later shown me.  I know the great grandmother was also praying to St Anthony.  I know the child was found alive and in good condition.  It is enough to see the interconnectedness of us all and rejoice in the outcome, which even the county sheriff called “a miracle”.

I feel I received a glimpse of meaning in the interconnectedness of all life, without ever receiving enough understanding of the whole reality, to have the complete answer.  


The Daily Guide goes on to say -


“IT'S an extraordinary feature of life, but nevertheless true, that a person can be both perfect and improving at the same time.  It means the same thing as being at once divine and human.  Our divine nature is all-encompassing, yet our awareness of it grows in stages forever,”



I believe that whatever role we actually played, however we may have impacted the outcome, will always be the beautiful mystery we can never fully know; but in our hearts we do not doubt, that we made some kind of difference by coming together.  We have been promised of old “whenever 2 or more are gathered …”  The work of this Power of Light group is indeed awe inspiring for me.

I thought to myself - what does this obviously loving nurturing
intelligent universe want from us all. What do you think it might be

maybe we should be looking at things from the opposite point of view of

I liked your shaft of light Deb, I personally have watched the heavens mysteriously peel back a small circle of light from a pinprick centre, and then just as mysteriously close it again - going totally against any effect the prevailing wind might have on cloud. This a lovely example of us all connecting together as One.

For those of you who sensed animal protectors, I got further news this morning from my assistant, who has TV and saw an interview. 

The search dogs lost the scent at the creek because the little boy says he crossed it.  The little boy says he was trying to get to his grandma's house.  He was only a quarter mile away, when they found him.  He wasn't found because he was crying, he was found because 2 dogs from a nearby farm had taken him into their protection.  The boy was asleep in the ravine and the dogs were with him.

There is a photo of the child when he arrived at the hospital and words from his dad about what Joshua said and how the father feels now that his son has been returned to him.

Joshua told his dad that he “saw the helicopters and hid from them”.

My Gaian friend who “saw” the ravine, had said that Joshua was intentionally hiding and did not want to be found.  Her sense of him was that he wasn't hurt.

For some reason I didnt open Meenakshis email till today regarding Joshua. I didnt know what it was for. Obviously I wasnt needed, you have all done such wonderful work, so was wondering why I came in now and when I read Meenakshis comment about an energetic wound needing healing I realised what my input was to be. I feel there is both a personal human energetic wound to be healed and an energetic wound of the area around where he became lost. 

I have always been able to sense the energy lines in the land and where they are disrupted I feel compelled to give them healing. There is something here that needs healing. The disruption caused him to become disoriented, creates magnetic changes in the land. Probably if you took a compass there you could detect the inconsistency of the magnetic field. If nothing else this event has mobilised many Gaians to work together in this way. What a great forum for doing such a thing.

I will continue to work on the land. Is anybody feeling moved to do that too?

We have alot of iron in our ground in this country.  There may be magnetic anomalies.  Lightning strikes intensively here, more than anywhere else I have lived.  We lose telephones and other electrical appliances regularly.

There has been alot of mining and alot of timber cutting.  There are many wounds but it is a wild and beautiful land.  There are volcanos and caves and steep hills and many, many watersheds all goint into the Mississippi.

Someone once drew an Earth Angel card on my behalf.  I am always working in my part of the land, which is much like the area where the boy was lost.  I have been lost on our farm before.  Without sun for a compass, it is quite easy when the leaves have come out.  As an adult, I know a road or creek will turn up if I keep walking and I'll know where I am again.  It is dense and jungle like.  There was no sun much of the time the boy was gone.  There were heavy rains Tues night, while he was in the woods.  

He told his dad he went for a hike.  The search was like a bureaucratic circus.  It was a local citizen, there by the act of rain and caring, and out of the “mold” he should have been in, striking out in an area all alone, where he should not have been, who found the child.  That is a miracle.  

Yes, there are wounds and it is good to continue to send energy here.  I'm sure the same could be said for many places.  Every place on earth has some wound, from some time, for some reason.  The earth is quite resilient.  Humans are more fragile and also more indifference to the living nature of Gaia.

I don't believe that by myself, without this group, I could have shifted the negativity far enough into the positive or with enough openning for magic to play a true role.  I am indebted on behalf of my community to each who answered the call with their love, light and belief and to those who still wish to do work as well.

I'm wondering about maybe having separate threads for each dimension? then people who feel drawn to work in one or another can use their energies expressly for that purpose, bearing in mind there will be some generalist healers who may feel drawn to cover everything from an overall perspective. 
Serge Kahili King has written a book  called Urban Shaman which in part, talks about people getting together to heal the land as well and healing people. 
He talks about the Pooling of minds and describes a Shaman Hui. A group of people from all over the world putting their minds and hearts together to effect change and healing in a variety of ways.

I just wish to thank everybody for the Light energy sent to little Joshua… I checked yesterday my Gaia account a minute after Deb posted the message that he is alive and safe… and I cried… What I felt when I posted first time was fear, hunger and cold… but in the same time, everytime I open this thread a kind of energy, like electricity starts from my toes and it goes out through my crown chakra… every single time… and feel the energy… Thank you Meenakshi for guiding me here, thank you Deb for your kind soul, thank all my friends for this Light network… This is what I was looking for, this is what I wished to feel… even our help maybe it was minimum (but I think we had our percentage together with all the people looking for him, and his family and all the other prayers), the fact that we were all together praying and hoping and picturing the positive outcome… all of these give me hope… means that we have a future… our planet and us… we can heal souls, land and we can can create the new world of Love and Light… deep bow to all my friends here… thank you Gaia… The kid was surrounded with Angels and little animals… dogs… and other spirits of the forest… This connection made me very happy…

What comes first? Light for healing, or the necessity for it? I'll never forget when, a long time ago, a mystic was reading my aura and saw healing light present there. She said, it had come to help me for problems that would soon reveal in my life.

Even before the loss, something is found; even before the question, is the answer. But as we are working at the dense material level, we bring it in and wake up to it only when we are aware of the loss. 

That is the blessing of loss - it brings us together; gives us a glimpse of light; a feeling of light; a reason to pull ourselves out of density into lighter realms where we can see what is actually happening.

 How blessed each of us feels when we come together in this way. It doesn't even matter who said or felt what; it's that all together, we were able to experience so many different dimensions. To feel the reality of co-creating; or inter-connectedness;  of the heart-mind. 

Any time we feel lost; we can help ourselves to be found again. That's the power of light!

Before I go to bed, I just have to add a couple of things.  I am still a bit wound up and full of joy and almost disbelief at the beauty of the way Spirit works magic in our ordinary lives.

I believe that what this situation gave to us as a group, in the form of confirmation and validation that what we do changes outcomes, is rare.  Often we work without such, on the faith alone, that it does “something”..  

I think the potential for Gaians coming together positively, each from their own inclinations and strengths, practicing a spirituality that changes lives, is both humbling and exciting.  I have been blessed to be among you and witness, how amazing, what happened was.

How it is molded, channeled, directed and utilized in the future is perhaps for better organized minds than mine.  I will always be a bit “scattered” and keep being where I feel called, doing what I feel called to do and it will always be changing.  True Gemini, I guess.

Before I go to bed, I wanted to clarify one issue that someone writing to me privately made me realize may have been incompletely understood.  Regarding the dogs.  It was not search and rescue dogs that found the child.  Those dogs lost the scent at the creek on Day 2.  No one thought to take them to the other side to pick up the scent again.  No one thought the child could or would successfully cross the creek but he did.  Alot of people believed the child had drowned in a pond or creek or the big river that flows through the area.

Others feared bears (very rare, solitary, infrequent occurances), mountain lions (though only bobcats are known to inhabit our area) or rattlesnakes would “get” the child.  Many adults who go into the wilderness here, go in fear of something.  I have faced my own fear of coyotes, here on our wild land, in the dark, unarmed, alone with them letting me know they were definitely present by their yelps and haunting howls.  

The child and I know something about being in the woods in the dark with wild creatures.  It is all about where your vibration is - fear may attract death, love and trust will protect.  After the dogs, ATVs and horses had all thumped around on Day 2, most of the wildlife had probably retreated to much more remote areas. They are intelligent creatures who know to avoid man.

Some people, perhaps many law enforcement personnel present, suspected the parents, of some abuse and disposal of their child's body.  Negativity and fear was rampant in many forms, and I would suspect was the predominant energy at the family home and command center nearby.  Even the great grandmother praying to St Anthony feared the child had died and prayed only for him to be found before nightfall.  

This energetic level is what we changed as a group, we shifted the energy from a negative outcome, where a child might have been lost, parents accused, lives ruined; to a positive outcome, where a small child was returned to his parents and a community worked together generously to effect that result.  Where a happy ending can be more appreciated for how it brought people together in common cause, than the gossip and sensationalizing of tragedy that could have been the outcome otherwise.  We will never know to absolute proof, if the outcome would have been different without us, but it very well may have.  

I half expected my independent, solitary husband to balk at the bureaucracy and go off on his own.  So, such a thought crossed my mind and I thought, whatever he does will be the right thing and what he did was be a good team player and I am proud of him for that, because it goes against his nature but as a father, he wanted to help that much.  The man who did go off independently, did so unintentionally but Spirit guided him, never-the-less.

The dogs that found the child were not the search and rescue dogs - they were farm dogs living a half mile away, who heard the child crying perhaps or talking loudly or whatever a young child might do in the woods.  But the boy was “happy” once found and only wanted milk.  He was talking and smiling.  A pure, wild little thing, in the wild kingdom of nature.

The miracle was the child wandered close enough to another farm to draw the dogs and a man who got separated from his search group, took an ATV trail to try and find out where the heck he was, because he was “lost” to a degree too.  Like me, he knows roads always go somewhere and ATV trails usually end up at some homestead.  The miracle was in how all these threads became woven together into a beautiful outcome.  If the man had not found the child, the child would have probably found the farm and the nice lady with the milk.

Thankyou for explaining the whole thing Deb. I have a very powerful belief in prayer regardless of the religion or spiritual beliefs of the pray-er. I know what happened, happened as a result of everyone working together. Community is very important. This is a demonstration of the power of love.

Milk, Hotdogs & Sponge Bob never looked so good… If you believe in Guardian Angels, then this story is for you.  In Miracle in Missouri his father said, “you doubt that God's with you, and then something like this happens and you know he's there.” Truly is a demo of the power of love…  Thanks for keeping us updated Deb… and to all for the light. Feels like we are a lion, tiger & bear all in one power - nothing can stop this power flowing through us.

Joshua was still in the hospital on Friday, being monitored for the effects of dehydration and so that any bug bites or scrapes could be properly treated.  His family remained there with him, quite far north and out of the storms that I will tell you about next.  The family was seeking privacy and not granting interviews.  That is the way of people who live deep in the Missouri wilderness.

I don't know if their mobile home is okay.  Severe storms and tornados ripped through our county, and other counties to the east, turning elation to disaster.  Our county seat of Fredericktown suffered severe damage and was under curfew last night.  

We had gone to St Louis, so my older son could have a tooth repaired.  On our way north, we were in rain so heavy we could not see beyond the end of our car's hood.  My husband was driving rather fast for conditions but I did not question him.  Good thing.  4” of rain fell in 45 mins washing cars from the road we were on and 120 mi an hour winds turned over semi-trucks, torn up trees, took off roofs and scattered bits of people's lives everywhere.  All the schools suffered heavy damage and the children were at school at the time.

Coming home last night, the last state road before where we live, was one long line of downed trees.  The pain of the trees hurts me.  Our county road is in good shape but I'm anxious to get out in the woods and see how the rest of our forest is.

We are on generator.  The power may be out at least until next week.

Hi deb,  It is good to get the omitted data.  I know everything will turn out all right And on the immediate situation feel free to call the local Volunteer Ministers in St.Louis as they will send teams to assist any victims that may be feeling loss.

This is what I found about the dog that he told in this report was with him below, Joshua was telling about being with the dog at night… Here is the clip…

The three-year-old, who was rescued after two nights in the woods near his home, has been released from the hospital. Joshua Childers waved and blew kisses to reporters and photographers gathered outside of the hospital as he was released Saturday afternoon.

Doctors call Joshua's survival miraculous. Doctor Steven Crawford thinks the family's pet may have helped keep him alive for two nights in the deep woods, “The family had a Great Pyrenees that disappeared when he did and reappeared after he was found. They said it was about 125 pounds so one of our initial concerns was how can a 35 pound child stay alive in forty degree weather in the rain for two nights and three days. That may be the answer and he was telling about being with the dog at night so rather remarkable I would say.” Joshua's dad, Adam, says his son couldn't be doing any better and is ready to be home. Joshua is in good condition. He's recovering from insect bites and hypothermia.

Daily News | US World News responders comments were good.  In the report by Donnie Halprin who found him, he said there was one large black dog and what looked like a pup with him.  So it would be good to get the true dog story once the weather calms down.  I understand the town is going to have a parade in honor of the searchers, heros and this little boy.

there truly is power in the light that is sent from sincere hearts. if you were to know for sure that your hopes, prayers, faith, wishes, meditations and light saved this boy - would that compel you to reach out to the rest of the world? to search and see whom else could benefit from your love?

It appears that because there is no time in non-physical, spiritual realms; you both  sensed what was coming to our county next.  

I have written a blog with the details of the Derecho that hit us only 43 hrs after Joshua was found.  A Derecho is a monster windstorm.  

The pain in our community - people's pain, bird's and animal's pain, and very much, the tree's pain is immense.
