Use wallpapers to brighten your own light

J~E~S~S said Jul 4, 11:04 PM:

We on Gaia all use computers. Some of us daily, some of us sporadically. Do you use desktop wallpapers to bring you back to your center? To bring more light to the things you use your computer for? I do, and I create inspirational wallpapers for all to use.
I have prepared a new wallpaper. I incorporated the phrase “love one another” into the sky as if it was raining this command on a field of blooming flowers.
Here is a link to download full size at the resolution of 1152x864.

What do you use for a desktop wallpaper? If you want, you can use the print screen button on a pc to capture your wallpaper and then open paint program and do control-v to paste your clipboard into the document. This will be an image of whatever was on your computer screen! Make it smaller and post it here.

If you don't feel like doing that, just tell us about your computer screen. Do you keep the icons organized? Do you file everything within your documents folder or use your desktop to save everything?

I change my desktop background quite often, depending on mood and inspiration. The one I had for quite a while is attached. I found it while searching for a photo of sanjeevani, the magical herb that is reputed to have saved the life of Prince Lakshman, a heroic figure in far-off times in India. I recently tidied my icons; as I like to save temporary files to the desktop while working on the web!

I really love the wallpaper you've presented, dear Jessica. Thank you so much.

I change everything personalizable! And I do it frequently! LOL!
I have a folder called 'wallpaper' for my collection…I also use these for the background images of my websites. Most are digital art, I loooove surrealism.
But interchangeably are scenic photos, holiday art…right now I am wearing this one, which I adore imagining myself wandering through :-D
(and yes, I DO store everything in my Documents folder! It takes up RAM to store things on your desktop screen!)

Jessica…that is a gorgeous field of blossoms!
Meenakshi…yours reminds me of the Taj Mahal! LOL =)

These are beautiful images everyone. Meenakshi, I hadn't heard of that legend of Prince Lakshman, but I love hearing Indian legends.
Ariela, you sound very organized! I love that image. There is a little credit at the bottom corner of it. Is it a photo or painting?
Kathy, My son found the bird in the image of the ocean and had to point it out to me. We were busy counting faces! That's a fun image.

I change wallpapers once a month as I make them. If I happen to save something to the desktop, I move it promptly to the folder where it will live. I like to download images from istockphoto because they offer a free image of the week to members. I file them in their own folder in mydocuments.
