Aki, thank you so much for sharing your stoy so openly. I think that sometimes when we share our experiences, even though we may feel we gain nothing from it personally, we are helping others to prepare themselves for thier own experience. Maybe we are preparing them for the emotions, maybe we are preparing them to embrace a possibility, maybe we are simply helping them to understand or find peace with their own experience through our sharing.
A~, it seems like perhaps you are moving toward a necessary shift for your healing. May your path be bright, and srewn with many blessings.

I understand this concept. I understand contracts spirits make before taking form. And then we are born, and everything changes! We may have thought that by taking this burden, we could save someone else by giving them the opportunity to serve, when service is hard for them. But then we become obstinate and stubborn in our state of dis-ease, and push away anyone who could have served us. I'm mostly taking this from my experience with and observation of my mother, who has many chronic diseases. How can I help her when she pushes away my attempts to help? Only by prayer, I guess, which I don't do often enough.

i have responded to you via email, yet as i stated am placing the part of that response that is a poem here.

i am
i am aware that i am
aware that there is
that which is greater than me
yet
hath found reason
to create me
and therefore
i am with reason
what reason?
what cause have i to be?
i ask the beautiful flowers
the sky high trees
the birds that soar
all else, is amazing
so why me?
and they answer
but i refuse to hear
as they say, we are all
created from the source
the one which will
forever be all there is
you are divinity itself
choosing to be a man
what an awesome plan.
why does man have a child?
how does that child become
it's own being?
yet it was one with man?
same question/answer asked
and does man love that child?
does man feel it has reason to live?
does man feel life unimagined
without his child there?
so too are you
to that which hath created all
amazing, special, even worth
giving a world.
that is what is
rather you believe it or not
but if you choose to live it
earth will be your sweet spot
illness will stop
for you will tap into
a desire to do and be
what all of the rest of us
are hoping you will see
is an important part of the puzzle
that we all love

need you to complete
maybe you don't feel worthy enough
to heal for yourself?

Dear aki; thank you for sharing as it came. I have journeyed for healing as well; but not someone who lived close by; and never to take it on myself... if that is what you are called to do; then do keep sharing with someone close to you; the human self requires that.

i'm a big believer in not limiting anything, because spirit is unlimited. so i know that even as i learn things that are within themselves completely true, it doesn't mean it is all there is. so yes, jessica, what you and meenakshi have said is true. but things can go beyond that if you're at a place of allowance.

i did do exactly what you're saying and in the midst of being an empty vessel that energy flowed through i was more and more of my spiritual self than flesh and did connect to the person i was with on a spiritual level. when i traveled to the place of peace that i go to in a very high meditation, i looked and saw him next to me - nothing like this had ever happened before, it was "my" place. yet, knowing that spirit is unlimited i smiled at him and told him where we were. he soon began to create things there i had never imagined myself. we had an awesome experience together and then he took me someplace.

he told me to tell his parents of the place we went to so that they would know he remembered it and loved them. - all the while this was happening to anyone else who came into the room, i was sitting with hands extended, and he was in a deep sleep. in actuality, we were traveling around together. - when something happened that took me back to the room itself, i opened my eyes, went directly to his parents and described the place he took me. they cried, they knew exactly where it was and said he loved it there.

if you decide that you are a healer and in being a healer, you let light go through you to reach another so that they might use it toward healing - it is what you will be and what can occur.

if you realize that you are a spiritual being even while in a human experience, all things are possible. neither is wrong or right - all is divine:) but i thought i'd give you a "heads-up" since i never read nor was taught anything that i've experienced in actual healings.

yes, please by all means remove yourself - i became so personally attached to this child i was willing to give my life for his and offered it...he just smiled, he knew what i was doing even though i said nothing out loud. i have a daughter, two young cousins and my mom were all living with me at that time, nothing mattered, my love for him was no less or more than my love for all. he use to call for me to come because he had decided not to take anymore pain medicine. and told his mother i helped with his pain. yes, i am very upfront as you know:) so i will tell you that i let myself feel his pain for it was my intention to take his cancer and heal it within myself, when all else seemed to fail. i even bled.

but it was not for me, it was not spirit in need of a soul to come home and willing to take any soul. it was a crossing and i was meant to prepare him so he would have no fear and then i was to help his parents heal. i will share something with you - after we traveled together, the next day when i was with him and went to the same spiritual level, when i looked around, there were children as far as i could see. i looked at him and said who are they? what is happening, he said tell them what you've told me about your spirit never dying. - i won't go into every detail, but they were all children near death on earth, they started showing me what countries they lived in, what illnesses they had. some dying from disease, some from starvation, some from bullets wounds - what are we doing to the children of this world.

i had no idea that any of this was possible, yet i do believe that spirit is beyond my conception of what is possible. i realized at that moment that this child was more than his parents or i knew. i was meant to cross him and he was meant to guide these children. there are many things that transpired during the months we spent together - and i find myself slowly telling things on this site...i guess that's the power of light:) - i knew how to open his third eye, i had already been guided on how to do it and that it was necessary. after crying myself to sleep and complaining to spirit for setting me up (even though i volunteered:) i awoke the next morning and heard the voice of my father say, you can do exactly what you've come to do, you are strong enough.

i went and gave him all the love i could and without telling you every detail, - i did open his third eye. the rest was up to him. i avoided him the next day, stalling as much as i could (i'll tell you about that sometime?:) - the sun suddenly beamed through dark clouds and i knew he was leaving. i ran to his house, but couldn't get buzzed in. i called but no one answered. i went to rest and when i fell asleep i heard him say you have to come help my father let me go - i actually said out loud- "they won't let me in the house" my phone rang instantly and it was his mom asking me to come over.

i walked into the house and there was his father holding his 5 year old son's lifeless body. i thougth - my god, he meant i literally had to help his father let him go.

i can type no more. it was not my intention to tell this in this response. my apologies meenakshi, feel free to post this on the other discussion. i am very happy and at peace, but beyond this is a difficult memory for the human that i still am:)

Jessica you have beautifully expressed the very active and ongoing act of getting out of the way!

And I'd add -- to be a witness; and accept the healing energy as they flow through. Also to accept being the connection that is sought by the receiver or requester.

That's because when someone requests healing [receiver] through another person [healer]; they also expect some action on the part of the healer: a laying of hands; of words; of presence....

Thanks Meenakshi and aki, for this discussion. I'm growing in my understanding. I've been taught that the "healer" is to get out of the way and become the channel so the light can flow unobstructed through her. In effect, the healer doesn't "do" anything to heal. But she has, because she has devoted her life, sometimes, to the knowing, growing, and getting out of the way of her Self.

As a sub-thread, I'd like to share some thoughts on healing children.

I've found that often, when a parent asks for healing; it is they who need to be in a healing session. So when the child and the parent are together, the parent feeling they're helping their child is correct in that sense; they are, just by allowing and doing what is required.

In these cases, I found that the child was able to accept the session so easily;perhaps as they are so sensitive to energy that they could sense the lightening of energies.

Sometimes, the parent is not ready for themselves; and the child is more relaxed, it is true; and a deeper level of healing can take place. I feel that in this case, the child herself /himself has asked for a session....

thank you meenakshi - i am one with all you've said.

i have found 1 exception to what we've both mentioned that is intriguing, often with children it is the parent(s) come from that can make a difference. i have seen a child's health actually coincide with the parents belief that they are either healing or getting worse. - it was unexpected, but something i will never forget and now consider when it comes to being asked to help children.

depending on the circumstance, it can be better for the child to spend most of their time with the healer - alone - instead of the healer, child & parents. this allows for the healers energy of helping the child remember who they are and that they need not be ill, to be more direct and pure. since children follow their parents beliefs/feelings/ energy, when they feel the parent giving up hope, they do also. but if they are with someone who has no conflict of feeling - no desperate energies - and is in a complete state of knowing they will be well, that can become their truth also.

needless to say, as much as i absolutely adore/love children, unless they are in my care or it is not life threatening, i prefer not to be asked by spirit to join in. i must admit, i also learned that sometimes you think you've been called to help a healing occur and instead are there to help someone prepare for the journey home - as a person who considered/s herself a healer, that is the hardest job of all. sometimes it is those who will be left behind that you are meant to help heal.

after being in a situation like that (with the boy i've written about before) spirit knew that i needed a break and gave me one...everything going on ceased - work, travel, even my technology shut down - cell phone was broken, computers crashed, yes, even the televisions in my house! when my mom said what in the world is wrong with the t.v.? i said don't worry, it will be fine. i went upstairs to my office, reached for one of my favorite spiritual books and read - i knew that spirit was making sure that i too took the time to heal myself.:)

another occasion with someone crossing over made me feel as if i'd been setup to think i was a healer and was instead a crosser...but i have learned, we are only as limited as we allow ourselves to be (freewill), for spirit has no limitations and be aware, if you say to spirit, wherever you lead, i will follow and i will do all that is asked of me by you - you will be in for the journey of your life. one in which you cannot imagine. yet, you will also know - that you are on your path.

may we rise to that which is in us, with us and all around us and live the life we are spiritually meant to live. while remembering that even as healers, we sometimes must stop, rest and be healers even unto ourselves.

aki, I relate so much to what you are saying. Which is why I don't distinguish so much by healer-receiver as healing/feeling whole/being aware of being whole/ or not.

To me, healing is awareness that we are already whole; balanced at all times in relation to our central purpose. It is difficult to convey this to a person who is not feeling whole. That sometimes, the headache we seek a cure for, is the messenger of the silent tumor that needed healing. No point in killing the messenger.

Which is also why when we are "sending light or healing" it is best to align with the purpose of the requester. S/he is already on the path, by taking the amazing step of asking, to re-connection and awareness.

When light comes, it illumines all energy bodies; finds where awareness is lacking, and --well, lights it!

Your presence here with your words of amazing warmth are very moving, aki.

thank you Meenaksi, no matter how long or far we travel, may we always return to the power of light.

this experience is intriguing, at times so real it can be a challenge to remember that this isn't all there is. when people don't have joy, happiness, peace of mind (72 meditations relates to that) - it causes an off-balance because they are no longer in a place that is a whole truth and often their bodies follow losing its concept of wholeness - causing illness.

but, there are also those who have come in on purpose with certain contracts that include their illness/disease. often meant to be a gift they give to those who will rise to the occasion and love them - amongst other things. and in those cases, there often isn't a "healing" to be had, as odd as it seems that person is whole even though they have a physical disease/illness because their spirit is living that way on purpose.

which is why i often say christ (and/or any spiritual person at the christ level) does not do a mass healing, they only heal those who ask. and of course, believing plays a factor - but that's probably another thread:)

this is the ultimate game isn't it? divine answers usually appear to be something and the opposite of it.

i believe in the possibility of healing simply being remembering who you really are and living that truth fully - for spirit is unable to be ill.

and healers are just spiritual siblings who have found many ways to help you remember, to remind you and guide you to what is true.

your spirit is whole and it has the capacity to spread that wholeness throughout your entire being eliminating all that does not serve you.

this is also why a healer cannot heal you, unless they have your help and permission too, for they are merely remembering who they are and their spirit is connecting to your spirit so that jointly, we can remind your human being, that it is part of the divine. and then it will reject disease itself - if it so chooses. because ultimately, human beings have free will...and our spirits respect that, since it is spirit that has given it:) i love this pod.
