How do you wish to better the world?

betterworld1 said Apr 9, 5:45 PM:

Hello All-

I came to discover how you all wish to make a better world. We all have stories to tell, unique talents to share and meaning that we seek. How do you relate these things (and others) to making a better world for yourself and for others? What is most important to you?

I work for a philanthropic organization, www.everywun.com, that believes everyone should have the ability to convert care to impact.
I'd love to incorporate your feedback into what we are trying to do and so look forward to hearing about what making a better world means to you…

Dear Siona of Gaia,

I have been inspired by the beauty and insight the members of Gaia bring to this world. I was touched deeply by Megans question about making the world a better place and ended up spontaneously writing the article below. because of the connections I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you and anyone else you believe would like to see it.

With many blessings
Michaela

How Do You Make the World a Better Place?
May 11, 2009 by michaelasorrentino

I personally make the world a better place via my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. Perhaps this doesn’t sound like much on the surface, but dig a little deeper and you will find  it to be the fundamental basis for all reality manifestations. Essentially the world is like a lucid dream, and we are the conscious dreamer. I say dreamer because there is only One Source from which the dream comes.

Within that One Source, a concept of separation occurred leading to the spontaneous birth of the ego and the illusion of dual existence (also referred to as the big bang theory to many).  Just like that, the earth and all its physical interpretations and manifestations became domain to the ego. Eternally however, it remains part of the Whole, never quite able to function on its own; even in its most desperate attempts to do so. This is why humanity has never quite been able to shake the insatiable desire to quest for Ultimate Truth or God, as some call it. Cause and effect can never be truly separated. Taken one step further what this means is that the ego and its world cannot ultimately be separated from whence it came.

Fear and belief in separation is nothing more than a misguided illusion. The survival of the ego’s world is dependent upon this. Chaos is a key ingredient integral to the success of dual existence. Creating a utopia is the proverbial carrot used to keep all the ego’s counterparts distracted from understanding the Truth.  The ego’s survival depends upon convincing itself that all its contradicting effects are real and independent of their Source. The death of the body was devised as an ultimate means to maintain this. Life and death; two conflicts to keep the mind forever trapped in the illusion that what it is experiencing as solid matter is in fact absolute reality.

What happens upon the death of a body remains a mystery and a focal point of great debate to this day. Not even the ego can shake the concept of a Source of Creation/ the Connecting Spirit if you will. So in order to maintain itself and be integral to its continued survival it created this world and more. The planet earth, the stars, the sky, the galaxy, the universe… in all its glory and splendour. The whole concept was finished off with the master of all diabolical plans; death…necessary to instill fear and keep us distracted from Awakening to the Truth.

The ego has even designed a spiritual agenda; its called world religions. I like to refer to them as the “ism’s”. There are many of them to choose from. They even seem to agree on one fundamental idea; that there is such a thing as God, but we will never find him, it, her…well you get the idea, until we die -and even then there are no guarantees.  We keep coming back as a physical incarnation over and over until somehow we reach a critical point and enough becomes enough.  At this point,  the journey to consciously awaken begins and this is where things get really interesting:

The ego maintains that God is judgmental, moody, and as far away from humanity as one can get. This keeps the good majority of us on our toes functioning from a place of fear. This fear is held in place by programing ourself to  judge everything as either true or false based on the limited perceptions of solely the body. The ego’s plan does not include striving to make the world a better place, that would be too dangerous.  Harmony and unity would undoubtedly contradict its laws of duality. The looming threat of extinction must always be there if  it is to continue.

Certainly the world of ego could function in a far more balanced way, but that would require a conscious leap of faith. This is difficult to achieve in that the ego functions on the subconscious level of mind. One needs to find a solid bridge which joins these two aspects of mind, so they may find safe and sound passage between the realms.  In order to transcend this dilemma, we need to lay out all the cards on the table to understand exactly what it is we are working with.

Ego realm depends upon reckless judgment. Therefore trust is not something we cultivate or come by easily. It would require a huge leap of faith for many of us to understand that what we are is so much more than what meets the eyes. Humanity’s biggest obstacle to creating a better world or reality lies in the fact that most of the people have forgotten who or what they truly originate from. The vast majority are completely ingrained in the idea that absolute reality is limited to a censorial life. As long as one thinks of themself as a separate entity in terms of what they experience with their body, they are cut off from understanding how reality manifestation Truly functions. When this happens, trying to make the world a better place is almost impossible.

The One original Source of Creation appears to be separate from the body, but at its core, ultimate Truth is always found and slowly understood. When this process begins, an individual will recognize the unity of nature and that all things originate from One Source of which we are all connected to via our thoughts and feelings. Thoughts and emotions translate into a kind of synaptic response(s) that occur from within the Mind. This is the cause of all that we think we see. The body is merely an effect, as is anything associated with it. So if one wishes to create a better world, it begins with a deep and sincere intention/desire based on what we think, feel and believe.

No matter how things appear on the surface, the power behind it’s creation lies in what we believe the world is actually for. Therefore, ultimately, understanding how to make the world a better place happens within the mind. This requires diligence and daily practice…not on an hourly basis, but a momentary one.

When you change what you think, feel and believe regarding the world and your role in it from an interdimensional place, the result of that is a change on the outer material planes. It really is that simple, but very difficult to commit to, as we are all so convinced that what we do with the body is so important. We are ingrained into thinking that the body’s actions is the source of our intention when really it is the other way around! The expression “Actions speak louder than words” isnt necessarily always the case!

The body is a microcosm of the world. The world is a microcosm of the galaxy. The galaxy is a microcosm of the universe and the universe is a microcosm of the mind! In turn, they are all a microcosm of the Source of Creation. All our potential to pro-create, exists within this ! This is Cosmic Law, something that eventually even the ego and its supposed creations cannot transcend regardless of how hard it may try. That is why lasting peace is never truly found in the material realm. This is what all those teachings mean when it is said that Love and Peace is all there Truly Is. Eternal Love however is whole and complete, something that transcends the dual aspects of this material world. This does not mean that in order to get to this one must sacrifice everything. In order to get to a place of eternal peace one must set out on the journey to transcend the limits of their current physical boundaries. This is possible by accessing the mind via our thoughts and feelings. The non physical aspects of our being!

I personally practice daily the art of consciously awakening to strive towards understanding and applying the greater potential of what I Am. I live my life this way. I am dedicated to inspire others to do the same in whatever capacity they are comfortable with. The mere idea that I am blessed with the ability to communicate this has made the world a better place for me. I certainly hope it has inspired those who read it to go out there and strive to do the same for themselves  knowing the vast resources they have at their disposal.

In loving kindness and compassion,

Michaela

Thank you so much, Michaela. I'm honored.

The body is a microcosm of the world.

I love what's captured in this; to me it seems so intuitive, and so true.

Becuse of the fractal nature of the universe each cell is a microcasm of the universe. This applies on all levels. Rather than wishing I prefer being. By being what we wish to see we create a vibration that radiates into infinity. I have found that by bringing my consciousness into my heart, I can bypass the ego minds delusions and be one with all that is. The base frequency of the universe feels like unconditional love. “Being” this vibration affects everything that comes into contact with it. I am making the world a better place by my existence as a conduit for this energy.

Could it be that our journey is circular?   Which would mean that the first step away from wholeness is the first step on the way back to wholeness.   Ofcourse that might imply that the world is perfect as it is and can't be improved upon.  Only traveled upon.

I want everyone to know they are not alone. No one has to struggle through this world by themself. Just because you reach out to someone doesn't mean your weak or your incapable of doing things alone. Reaching out you find that your not the only one struggling in this world. Everyone has their own inner and outter battles that they deal with on a daily basis. Trust people who are worthy of trust and your world will improve.
