We are human. My professor always says, “If your not struggling, why bother getting out of bed?” We are all human and part of our nature is to make things more difficult. My advice to you, take some time for yourself. Try to get outside of the drama and things that are complicated and look at the situation from the outside. When doing so, I've found that the answers come to you a lot easier.

The expectations we have concerning ourselves and others makes thing complicated.  The fewer the expectations, the simpler our lives.  Without expectations, we become free to act in the moment, not react from fear, anger, or anything less than love.

I don't know. For me it is because I procrastinate and I set expectations on outcomes for too many events. Today I am more proactive and look to keep it simple by focusing on what is going on around me. Smiling also helps.

…well said Rebecca , the expectation is the root cause of all the complications ..Lord Krishna says: Karmanyevaadhikaaraste maa phaleshu kadaachana…( Bhagavadgita-ch-2, shloka :47 )…” To work you have rights , but not for the fruits thereof …” if we adopt such mindset the life is bound to get less complicated…

Sometimes the best thing is to re-decide potential limiting decisions, if your decision serves you, great. But if it doesn't, maybe there is a more empowering decision that will allow you to change and see different opportunities.  You make the rules:)

I was unaware that everything is complicated. I mean really, even complex questions have a simple answer, and though I obviously don't know the answer to all these questions, it is not outside my ability to figure out the answer if I want to. If you fight complacency by asking questions and discovering their answers, everything can be much less complicated :)

There are, of course, exceptions to this rule, and they are God and Love (and since God is Love…well, that's part of what makes it complicated ;) ). One could spend forever trying to figure out these two aspects of life, and they will never find a conclusive answer. And so, it is best just to accept the fact that they cannot be fully explained and let that be the explaination to your complication.

hi, i'm new to this. sorry if i said something i shouldn't but i can't help but respond to this one with my humble opinion.

everything is complicated because human beings are. strangely, sometimes i am glad it is because it makes the world more diverse and makes every connection that u attempt to make more meaningful.

I make things complicated when I bring in thousands of factors to consider for the result i desire.I feel so far the human mind is limited and can not see the complete picture so it worries itself out.If only we could see the complete picture everything would be simple and easy.Ah! Life is easy for me :)
Till then we can learn to surrender and know that everything will turn out for our own evolution and becoming One with God holding that in our mind and Heart.

Creating your own freedom within the matrix is one way to consider the freedom we should all naturally posses an equivalent share of, yet, if we all own freedom how is freedom relative to all things created equal, if the free market system of control makes all things unequal, hence, are all children born with a natural right to equality or born to be exploited by the perception of equality to the equality of the few, defining inequality to the masses?

I've always enjoyed looking at spider webs, they evoke in their silken layers, in the first blush of the mornings dew, the intricate threads of life's textures. So thin and beautiful, yet thick enough to form a fabric. Simple in design yet nefarious in its purpose. The silken web, 300 million years in the making, yet still an awesome sight. Migt,

There is no doubt that the world arround us has become increasingly complicated on many fronts. From my perspective, the world is as complicated as we make or perceive it. Over the last 7 or 8 years I have simplified my life materially, spiritually and psychologically. The 1st thing I did was look at what was really important to me; and that came down to wanting to be healthy and happy. From that point, I was able to decern what the obsticles were to working towards that state. This allowed me to make a conscious effort to simplify, simplify, simplify. From a material perspective, I stopped watching TV and other forms of mediia bombardment, I started shutting off my cell phone when I didn't need it, and I now pick and choose what I get from the media through my computer. I am not shutting myself off, just giving it a break and using my intuitive decernment. A vast majoroty of what we experience in the media is negative or useless infromation coupled with fabricated drama that tends to pull us from our own and collective centers.

Spiritually and psychologically, I have gotten into the practice of “watching my own mind”. You would be amazed at what you can catch yourself running on about “in there”. Once I catch myself, I am able to use balancing techniques (heartlock, freeze frame, tappinng, mini communions, etc.) to refocus/rebalance. I have done this several times a day thus helping me come back to a better state of cohearence. This alone helps me to balance myself spiritually and psychologically; and in turn gives me a much more simplified and balenced perspective on a daily basis. Lastly, I have been on a consistent exercise and receration program. For me, this is the key to everything; and it takes me to a place where my brain releases those revitilizing chemicals that lift  body, mind, and spirit.

Taken together, the above mentioned practices and techniques have had a tremendous impact on my ability to stay balanced, in perspective and better prepared for the extreme changes to come. My observation is that we are on the verge of unpresendented global change which will shake the very foundation of everything as we know it. In fact, we are experiencing this as we speak.

The choice is ours on how we deal with this new beginning; and it is entirely up to us both collectively and as individuals. We can allow ourselves to be plowed under by fear and confusion or we can get out our surfboards and ride this wave of transmutation. Working with several catagories of so called “at risk” students in high school (CTE) culinary arts, I feel it is my responsibility as a  teacher and mentor to young people in todays world to conduct myself with a balanced, focused approach displaying appreciation and compassion. The Essenes said it best “become peace, for that is the attractor of peace in the world”. Keep in mind that I am not perfect and fall off the wave from time to time. I have just learned to keep getting back on my surfboard. Thats the fun part in knowing that its quite ok to keep trying. It exercises our spiritual muscles and opens us to more options.

Many would argue that the world is a complicated mess of fear and confusion and that is most certinly understandable. However, my perspective is not to live in fear and confusion, fear + confusion = Illusion. If we can pasify some of our fear and confusion as individuals utilizing some of the tools mentioned above, as well as many others at our disposal, it will improve our ability to deal with complexity, reduce our stress levels, and ultimately prepare us for the great changes that are upon us. I note from Rex Sherry's profile that he has a great deal of formal education and varied business expereience.  He is now a teacher.  I had two years of college education and found it as boring as my earlier education.  I was never a good student.

I was an independent businessman until age 49, at which time I cut out of the herd and went to sea for two years.  I never accomplished much in the business world after that, but my life kept getting better and better.  Before I went to sea, by thinking very hard about making a good impression on others, I accumulated a lot, materially, and little peace of mind.  Moreover, I worried a lot about losing it all.  And sure enough I did lose it all.

I'm now retired and in the inviable position of doing what I want when I want to do it. I spend a lot of my time thinking back on my life.  When I went to sea, with nothing to do but keep myself alive, the sea can turn from placid to life threatening in minutes, by conquering the worst nature could throw at me, my life changed.  My sea experience convinced me that my inner power was far greater than I'd previously thought.  I ceased to worry about my future. Low and behold, my life is now as good as it gets.

Rex and I have had very different life experiences, but coincidentally, much the same philosophy on how to find  your bliss.  Rex says, “You would be amazed at what you can catch yourself running on about 'in there.'”

 There's no journey between the state of mind and the heart.  We don't think about our heart beat. It's automatic. The signal comes from the head.  We think with our minds. That is not automatic. The cutting edge of science has found that a dimension of infinite possibility exists and our observation thereof is what makes our reality, our conscious awareness if you will. 

We like to think of our minds and heads as the same, but the mind is in a state.  We must realize that what the “tribes” say is metaphor.  Heaven is not a place. God doesn't have the attributes of man. “Distinguish the ages,” said Augustine, “and the Scriptures harmonize.”  We're here with increasing purpose.  We must revise our concepts. Otherwise, life gets very complicated.

we are complicated because not everyone is by definition non-selfish.
That is basically it.
If everyone was non-selfish at all. (which wouldn't make us humans anymore)
Everything needs to be regulated to keep things equal.
Hence make regulations complicated.

The reason why social life is complicated, is because your parents superimpose certain values and norms. Whereas such values, alike the once most people get told by religion. Aren't real and not accurate to present date. The confusion of such a discovery makes people cling to working methodology, simplifying their life but disabling the self-contemplation part of their minds. In so, people become one big generalisation machine just confusing, as there are more exceptions than rules. Because real life comes closer to science than anything else.

people see life as complicated, because they prejudge, and naturally it is not true.

I have had times in my life when I felt I knew nothing and had no way of understanding , and have had times where all seemed crystal clear.  For me, now,  I find that as long as I am willing to accept that life is an ever expanding process and that there is always more to learn, and if I can accept that life revolves around love and go from there I'll not be discouraged.  I also try to tend to my own garden, so to speak ,and to let my fellow men do as they choose in their process.

“Because real life comes closer to science than anything else,” the complication is in the law in practice. Science says our reality is based our observation. If we observe others doing better than we are doing, and blame it on others, this is where authority steps in and makes the law fairer.
If we begin with the observation that others are doing better than we are doing, and go about making that false conception come true by doing everything we can to make it true, thereby proving we were right, enter authority to undo this grave wrong. It’s the ongoing blame game that keeps us dependent on authority, and growing numbers out of work, we take note. There’s nothing else to do but take from the rich and give to the poor. When we all become paupers, except for the ruling hierarchy who made it happen, that’s perfect justice.  Right or wrong?

If you do it rightly, there will emerge something sciency from it anyhow. It doesn't matter if you ever heard of 'science' at all. It needs NO authority. The laws of science(physics) are the same for anyone, anywhere anytime.

We have several choices in front of us (not necessarily perfect ones). Now, if you're a complete blank slate, everything would be neutral. Then when you would have to choose, how do you choose between two things that both give you neutral feelings? That seems complicated. Something has to influence you to tilt to one side and thus choose. Now robots are programed to do something and is their life complicated? Because a choice is already made for them. Shouldn't it be more like, the more biased you are towards a choice, the quickly you'll make a decision and move on?

Why is everything so complicate? Wow! Some of the things said: we make it complicated, if were not struggling… , because we are afraid. All of which is true but where does that come from and why do we create it?
I do not feel it is supposed to be complicated but we are a culture that lives from our heads and not our heart. Many think they are living from the heart, which is not the same as being in the heart. The left brain separates and defines then organizes what is useful from what is not according to our belief system. This is where the struggle and fear are in duality. In the right brain and from the heart it’s all good…it just is.
The culture we live in believes in outer results( jobs, money,stuff),  that we are separate and the individual matters. The individual only matters in what one contributes to community. It is community that matters. The whole is always far greater than the sum of the parts.
Life is a spiritual experience of community in bringing deeper expression of higher states of awareness into our sacred human experience within the holy web of life.
It is not what you have but what you give that is important;  to yourself, family, friends, and community. It is not what you think is needed but what is really of service to the whole of life. To do this we must step out of our ego/mind and into our hearts and listen and honor each other without judgment and expectation. We are in the journey together for each other and all life. 
This is but a tiny piece of the puzzle of why everything is so complicated. But is a good place to start.

God is a word that defines the creation of the heavens and earth. By including consciousness in the mix of “things,” science has integrated spirituality in the vital reality of our lives. This paradigm shift is beginning to replace the fact that for the past 400 years we’ve been engaged in a love affair with “things.” This new spirituality doesn’t originate in a place called Heaven, or in a God with the attributes of man, or out of the supernatural. This new spirituality originates out of reason and nature, as Thomas Jefferson, author of America’s Declaration of Independence put it, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness—That to secure these Rights, Governments are instituted among Men deriving their just Powers from the Consent of the Governed…”

We control our movements and what we think to a certain extent. We don’t control our heart beat or our passions. Most of us have a passion for the opposite sex. Many have a passion for music—natural passions. Some have a passion for stealing other people’s energy for self-serving reasons, an unnatural passion. Others have a passion for worshiping celebrities and very powerful people, unnatural passions.

Some of us have a passion for learning how things work. We view a TV picture and hear the sounds of events taking place on the other side of the planet. What we’re seeing and hearing is the workings of the subatomic.  In this vein of thought, we can’t see the workings of our brains and minds, but we are consciously aware that something is taking place, in a place, in a state of awareness, and the same for the universe, says reason and nature.

In the  interest in making things less complicated, consciousness is not confined to the individual. Consciousness is universal. It has no boundary. We, the governed, place the boundary. I have a passion for learning how things work. I think the co- dependancy of leader and follower places unnatural boundaries that violate the unalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I see that the cutting edge of science already knows—without question—that subatomic particles engage in some form of communication, and once connected, no matter how far separated, and instantaneously, making the statement that the speed of light is not the ultimate speed limit. Rather than being at the end of discovery, we’re at the beginning. There is a non-local universe or dimensions other than the space-time consortium.

Atom smashers have now revealed that a atom is not a “thing,” not in our view of things. An atom appears different every time it is observed. Light travels in waves across the vacuum of space, unlike water waves and air waves that require a medium to travel in. When observed, light waves collapse into bits of energy called photons, two “things” at the same time. It appears that we observe and that becomes our reality.  We make things complicated. We have the choice of creating a situation out of a false conception that becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy of wrong from the beginning. If we but knew how it all comes together, we’d know better.


I intuit a groundswell of change building that will make everything we know now null and void. We will all know that each of us is here for a purpose. Everyone will do the things they do best and prosper. Governments will not be coercive. They will be perfunctory. No one will depend on government. Governments will not lead us into war. The principle mode of organized society will be in cooperative and voluntary association.

Because God is infinite, (insatiable, in a sense, in a way, though we naturally think of God without “appetites”) infinitely curious, having chosen, selected, to incarnate as these billions of humans, as all who have lived before and as all who will come after, as trillions of creatures of all kinds, as creation itself; the choice to incarnate reflects this infinite… Desire; Desire for everything, everyone, all phenomena, every possible revelation.

Reality is a mirror held up to consciousness, and all consciousness is God; who and what my friend Lama Dorjee calls, “all sentient beings” are God.

Release the idea that You, the waking, hoping, fearing aspirational “you,” are wise enough to know what to want… or what to fear, for that matter. What I will call the “smaller you” (or the “smaller me” or “smaller we” if you prefer) is, in terms of creativity, passion, inspiration, the very stream of consciousness itself, so often only a witness to the vast power and mystery the rest of you can and does generate!

You are more, so very much more than the fear or anxiety that comes from being intimidated by everything being as complicated as we all make it!

In some ways, in the history of this species and this planet, a critical mass has been reached, a threshold is being crossed as we write, the Fire has started; Shiva is dancing, and the sages tell us this is the age of the illusion of destruction.

There is, here is, comfort, of a kind; with respect, and in humility, I suggest allowing yourself to remember that You Are God.
You chose to come here, to incarnate as precisely the “self” you are, whether you remember this decision or not at this moment, to witness everything you have - yes, everything. Back when you decided to come here you could and did see everything, all the joys and all the grief and every challenge and every apparent failure or victory - and you chose to come and embrace it all

Anamnesis; remember you are here to help all of Us who made our allied choices to be here. 
There's so much to be done… and nothing left to do.
Trust your instincts. Forgive yourself. Surrender. Yield. All is as it has to be, as it, as We, have chosen.

We've chosen too, to be (or at least to seem sometimes, from inside, especially, to only be) our “smaller selves” in order to… serve this infinite Being's infinite purpose.

My heart goes out to you! 

Surrender your feelings of smallness, at least of helplessness; You are God's Love Incarnate!

For God so loved the world... that the world never stops growing, filling, evolving, unfolding… and you, me, we are all proof of this, made of this Love that sees, knows, no end.

World without end…”

I believe that it is how we PERCEIVED THINGS…if it is COMPLICATED or NOT. Some people see things wonderfully even in the presence of problems and others see things weigh difficult in time of struggles. I believe that we see things on the POSITIVE SIDE then things will not be COMPLICATED because we are able to see a light in time of darkness.

I think that most people in this country believe that bigger and more complicated is necessarily better. Think of the cell phone. We got along just fine without cell phones and phone boxes on each corner. Then the cell phone came along, convincing us that we had to become available every minute. I know people who will stop in the middle of making love to answer their ringing cell phone. Cell phones now have cameras and even video capabilities. I saw an ad for a plug-in attachment of a curly flex cord and a full-sized hand set which plugs into a cell phone. We have come full circle! Why is everything so complicated? Because we are compulsive consumers and will swallow anything ad agencies dream up. I think that we in the USA are a very adolescent society with the attention span of a 3 year old and a need for immediate gratification. Marketing plays up to this very successfully.

well if you think about it. things arnt as complicated as they seem. you just have to look at the problem at its base.
in all actuality things arnt complicated at all. we just make it seem that way.
for example; nature is nature. animals eat and drink and sleep in order to servive.
put in that perspective it seems simple, dose it not?
now lets make it complex. there are many types of animals and there eating habits depend on wether there a carnivor, omnivor, herbivor, or a detrivor.
now that makes it more complicated and the explination goes on and on.
