Is there a standard for morals and ethics as a human race?

confabulations said Oct 25, 3:36 AM:

In my opinion, unfortunately there isn't. Such as, the majority of people in this world think that it is wrong to steal, kill, and lie. Then there are many that do it! Does this mean that they are breaking a standard, or does this mean that there is not a “standard” strong enough in that particular situation…? I believe that if everyone in this world was honest, full of integrity, and peaceful that everyone would have much better lives. I wonder about the people that don't believe that(or a similar version of that) - do they not want to believe it? Is it simply greed ? For power?  Please, share your thoughts !

People live by their own standards…or lack thereof. Standards are a personal choice, either based on experience or lack of experience (meaning karma).
You can not change the world, but you can change yourself for the better and in so doing the universe will support you. Those who understand this will gravitate to you.

I agree that if everyone participated this world would be a better place. It's just sad that some people lose that hope inside and decide to not try anymore for whatever reasons they may have.
Truly we all learn what we have been taught by people, if you were not raised in a situation whereby those fundamental things were given to you by example then what role models you had is usually what you will become until the time does come when you are faced with a personal choice of your own.

It is in by reaching to a higher plane that the truth of what we are is revealed.

I believe when you have the courage to find out it may be a lot better then you thought. Just take the leap of faith and find out about love.
