Great that you were interested! Here are some stories that I tell and can remember from the top of my mind:

An Irish tale called 'the black horse', in which a son of an Irish King travels the world with his companion dark horse, quests for all demands from the Underwater Prince, refuses to marry the princess and when the Black Horse shifts into a man the two marry and live happily ever after.

Another tale everybody likes is that of Phaëton and Cycnus. In most sources they are described as 'friends', but it seems pretty obvious to me they were lovers.

Also, Oscar Wilde's 'Happy Prince' and 'Nightingale and Rose' have a strong homosexual flavour. When I tell in Portuguese, I change the names of the birds to retain the same-sex reference that Wilde definetely used deliberately when he wrote those masterpieces.

ok, we are on a roll,

i'm doing a ritual theatre piece saturday, ... and activating a two spirit jaguar magician... a take from a mayan mythos...

Brilliant, Willow!!

I'm a storyteller, and I've been researching many same-sex love stories and narratives in my performances. People, both queer and queer-friendly, become ecstatic at the end of the story, not matter if it has a happy ending. Everybody likes the fact that not all stories are so predictably heterosexist.

It'll be VERY interesting to discover which homosexual tales you have there to share with us and increase my repertoire. My local community's gonna LOVE this. :)
