Our goal is to make the community quote database as accurate and useful as possible. All members of Gaia with an interest in quotations are welcome to join and contribute toward our goal.
Please note that quotes go into the
Gaia Quotes section. This group is ABOUT that section. We don't post quotes here except in conversation.
Whether you're visiting us or joining, please begin at the INFORMATION DESK; there's a lot of relevant useful info for you there. Please peruse the guidelines posted on the Add a Quote page. If in your travels through Gaia Quotes you find a quote that needs editing in some way, start a thread and post a link the Edits Needed Room, or email a Librarian.
Gaia Quote LIbrarians are members of the Gaia Community who volunteer to spend time in Gaia Quotes, weeding out duplicates, deleting spam, correcting mis-spellings and mis-attributed authors, etc. We also talk with the Team and interested community members about what would make the Quotes section optimally powerful for helping to change the world for the better!
You can also apply to become a Librarian yourself by letting us know of your interest. As a member, you are not automatically a Librarian, but will be able to make your own offering of quotes more useful, and help others in doing so. The Gaia Community management Team members decide who may have the Librarian role.
A couple of Rooms in the Group are clearly for Librarians-only. The others are open to posts from all Members of this Group.
Now, enjoy the Quotes section, for goodness sake!! It is soooo inspiring, such a gift to the community, so useful, so fun!! That's why we are devoting our volunteer time to keeping the garden pruned and weeded!!
