  d a l e : Ambassador of Truth

Hello

d a l e said Mar 22, 2007, 9:09 PM:

I just wanted to say hi to everyone.  I just joined the pod.  I have never been to a radical faery gathering, and I don't consider myself too radical or much of a faery, tho some of my friends might disagree with that statement.  I am a musician, a singer, in training to become a Unity minister.  I have designed a service I call AWE for Authentic Worship Experience and it is drawn from my spiritual experiences over the past few years, including Cosmic Mass. Emerging Church, Native American Ceremony, Sacred Ritual, Progressive Christianity, Mystical Experience, etc.  We do these AWE gatherings once a month at Unity of Independence, MO where I am minister in training, and I also take these on the road with the help of my friends Kelly and Mark who are a big part of the AWE.  We will be in Nashville and Atlanta the last weekend in May, and also I will be in Wimberly and Austin, TX with the AWE the last weekend in April.

I didn't really mean this to be a commercial but this is what I am most passionate about in my life right now.  I also LOVE music and playing the piano and singing.  I recorded a live CD with a band at Unity Village in MO last March and will be finishing work on it this week.  I have links on my profile.

I am also dad to an incredibly beautiful son named Jason who lives with me full time.  He is a 'skater' as well as a loving soul and a very wise young man.  I was married for 10 years and came out when I was 40.  I had a partner for a few years but now I am single.  I was trapped in a self-imposed box for so long that I am no longer in the closet about anything in my life, especially my spirituality.

I recently discovered the website for Burning Man - I have heard about this before but never took the time to investigate until now -  and was wondering if any of this pod has ever attended?  I would love to be part of this - it looks challenging and fun.

Most of my sentences in this post begin with “I” so you can tell how self-absorbed I am.

Blessings,
dale

Hello Dale,

For some reason I am not getting all of the e-mails that are on this pod, so I have to look into that.

Faerie, faery, however, you want to spell it is not about being effeminate, though it can be for some men.

Faeries are not humans or gods, they are “other” as we are as gay men.  We are other because of our nature, our soul, our spirit.

That is how I define a radical faerie.  Your mileage may be different.

Blessings forth,

Willow
