Radical Clarity... Shi[f]t Happens

The backbone of this pod is that we cannot count on the thought system (ego-mind) that keeps us in fear to ever liberate us into a thought system based on love.

This new paradigm requires a whole new thought, a whole new way of being. By exposing and embracing our inner demons, we can move through the...(more)

Getting Radically Clear & Shifting The MONEY Paradigm

mita said Jul 1, 2006, 5:22 AM:

Hi Bruce and All.. I like the vision of this pod.  So many dysfunctions that we see in society and community under the capitalist system is directly arising out of inherent unsustainabilty and unfairness of the compound interest bearing debt-money  system instituted worldwide, under the name of democracy in post colonial era.

I talk about a holistic non-dual no-debt money system that can be installed anywhere to start a sustainable local economy, once we understand the loopholes in current money system. More people imagines and holds this vision in their mind, better it is for all to reach the tipping point.

The significant problems we face cannot be solved with the same level
of thinking we were at when we created them.” - Albert Einstein

” In some important ways our designing of the theoretical framework of economics or the misrepresentation of it is responsible for perpetuating poverty.”     Commonwealth Lecture  2003 by M. Yunus, Creator of Grameen Bank

Greed and fear of scarcity are being continuously created and amplified as a direct result of the kind of money we are using. -Bernard Lietaer

The greatest enemy of mankind is his ignorance of the inherent money power in all of us. When the realization of this comes to man, he will like Samson, push down the walls of his prison.” - E.C. Riegel

Given the resources on Earth, every man, woman, and child should be a millionaire many times over” - Buckminster Fuller

Thanks for adding your attention energy to this vision.

There is much happening locally here in my town and I feel a great energy building up at local level. I will post in my blog something on this. Here is why money paradigm must change..

Imagine their is just one root problem in the world focusing on which will make you come to a possibility that addresses all the symptoms like corporate greed, overpoulation, mass poverty, inequality, trashing of human life, human-trafficking, pollution and destruction of habitat, natural diversity, hunger,cancer.. illness….on and on.

Are you willing to devote one day or couple of days to really understand it…a view of a non-expert but a practical philosopher who happens to think deeply about life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. Here is your chance…provided your mind is already not full with conventional wisdom, intellectual arguments or polarized dual thinking. It does require whole heart-brain approach and a love of life.

See Life precedes pursuit of liberty and happiness. Life is a profoundly rich, beautiful web of interconnecting relationships and energy at many levels… biological, ecological, physical, mental and spiritual all working in balance and harmony…our body naturally maintains it. In our mind we are polarized and divided. Yet we humans are spending all our lives in pursuit of money than pursuit of precious LIFE…running or progressing backwards it seems.

Now should we not take a moment or long to reflect on what money is, how it is issued, comes into circulation and allocated. See money is the life blood of society and if our blood/sweat/labor that is money contains cancer, would not all human institutions and human mind/brain affected by that? Without much adieu here is my view…may I have your deep attention please. Thanks.

I like very much what is happening at the community level in terms of sustainable communities Network, local living economies, Balle, Flow and many such networks of conscious living and business.

However we need to focus on what is the problem with existing Debt-based Usury-based (charging compound interest on fiat money that has no inherent value) and centralized-commercial banking (money is issued as debt/loan to people, businesses and goverment out of thin air by central banks and banking system here and almost globally). It requires deep thinking how this money system is causing so many dysfunctions under name of free-market and democracy.

We do not have truely free democracy, here you see why and what has been kept secret from public. You must see this movie.

http://www.freedomtofascism.com

Here is another whole perspective on money. Life is an indivisible whole and we cannot understand or serve the pursuit of Life, Liberty, happiness with reductionist, dualistic thinking in economics, politics and science. It requires deep thinking and understanding.

Transforming money: From debt to empowerment
http://www.seek2know.net/money2.html

Our right to petition the government is our greatest right and grossly unfair systems like central banking can be easily changed and the power of issueing money can be peacefully restored to people. Wake up yourself and others. Thanks for your attention and action.

This issue is so gigantic and vast that your mind may spin for a while. Freedom cannot be kept with ignorance intact. can it??

You can have all the above community initiatives but how do you fight the power of global usurious corporate centralized banking (and increasing the debt-slavery of people) that is funding the dinosaur like prison-intelligenge-industrial-war-media-propaganda complex with your labor and sweat and children's future!

Energy goes where attention flows. Each of us need to wake up and awaken others. The conscious journey has begun.

Susmita,

I enjoyed reading your response.

The Money Paradigm has always been of interest to me.  I see through my life I have been in fields of giving (nonprofit), yet those fields don't pay a decent living.  So at times, I've struggled, not wanting to be a sell out and go towards something that's not feeding my soul.

I would love to have the mantra really come true that “I am, with ease and effortlessness, provided for monetarily for the positive energy I put out into the world by making the planet a more peaceful place.”  It's not coming true for me, so I need to reevaluate my premise and affirmation, or how I am approaching the universe asking for guidance and support.

Any suggestions appreciated?

Hi Lisa

My vision about transforming money  was inspired by finding ways to eliminate money struggle for all people who really cannot live their potential or bring their gift or do their work because of the nagging money problem. Our relationship with money is shaped by our experience growing up…if we see too much lack or poverty, or suffering/struggle/stingyness/quarrel or unhappiness in family/parents over money..we develop a negative association with money. We like to have money but money is the root of suffering/struggle/evil …these vibrations do not allow us to attract money. Acknowledge even a penny you see in the street. Pick it up with excitement. Watch the flow coming in even miniscule and bless the flow going out.

So replacing those beliefs/images with positive one that feels Ok within you is needed. Blessing the money as it leaves your hand or you receive it, appreciation and gratitude for it raises your vibration. You cannot attract anything into your life from a feeling of lack except lack. A good book would be “Ask and it is given” by Abraham-hicks.

Also what you want for yourself wish it for others…give some coins or dollar..to any doantion bowl or cause you like…trusting universe to bring many times of that.

Thanks for Blessing my intention here. Blessings for abundance and good luck to you.

“Greed and fear of scarcity are being continuously created and amplified as a direct result of the kind of money we are using.”

Yes, by it's very definition money automatically sets us up for lack, automatically creates the dual dimension of rich and poor, have and have nots, and the most sad of all - the powerful and the powerless. That which we use everyday undermines our good intentions. Me included…of course. I pay the rent, fill up the gas tank, and get food too! All with a low-grade (yet extremely common) sense of devalue. “I am less compaired to Oprah to Bill Gates to the president, etc.” On a scale of 1-10, lets see, today I'd put Oprah as a 10 and me as a 2.

I notice how I automatically function “where the rubber meets the road” at this 10-2 scale. But the idealistic (or spiritual?) part of me knows better. It knows that not only is it a 10-10 scale, but that there really isn't a scale at all. Or, if the scale is 10-10, then what use is there to even have a scale in the first place? (Sounds like a line in WTBDWK?!)

Of course what I am exploring here is me somehow coming to grips with a sense of authentic empowerment. There's a part of me that knows that even though it is normal for a human being to feel “less than” or depowered, I sense that there is a reality where it is natural for a human being to feel equal to others and empowered within ourselves!

“Within ourselves” is key I feel. For even though money empowers us TO exchange (and is external to us),  like putting on some new clothes, personal empowerment has nothing to do with anything or anyone external. It is an internal fact.

I just thought of a quote by Robert Ingersoll that I'd like to paraphrase - If we are empowered, it is a fact of nature, not a matter of belief.

Yes it has to start with inner revolution and empowerment for any external shift in paradigm of money. The currentsystem of money is based on colonnial thinking and much of society is stuck or showing myriad signs of dysfunctions because of faulty design of money and banking system.

Here is more thoughts on Conscious Money and why we need it.

“Money” is nothing more or less than a tool representing value. It ought to be said that, in any society, the individual lives are its “life's blood.” Money ought not be the primary focus but rather the value that the money represents. But, it ought also be said that money represents only some value, not all value present in a person or persons or in the products of their lives or in the products of nature without human assistance. Whenever I think of wealth, “money” is only a very small part of that concept. Wealth is present in tremendous quantities and qualities, much of which isn't readily translatable into money but, it is wealth just the same and perhaps wealth of greater value than money can possibly represent.

As an example, let me ask some simple questions - What monetary value do you place on life in general? On one life? On two lives? On a dozen? A hundred? One million? Six million? Six billion? The lives of the one you love most? Of all of those you love? Of those you hate? Of those you give little thought to at all? On your own life? Is it quantifiable in your own mind? Do you believe it quantifiable in the minds of others? In what way? What monetary value would you place on the life of another? And another? How do you determine that monetary value? Is your criteria objective or subjective? How do you know for certain? What monetary value do you put on a mother's love for you? A father's love? Brother? Sister? Sisters? Friends? Co-workers? Acquaintances? Your pet cat or dog or lizard? Your goldfish? Little Tammy's first drawing? Grandma's old wedding dress? Grandma's strawberry blackberry pie? Old photos of Dad? That clay ashtray you made in 2nd grade? Your first kiss? The first time someone said “I love you” to you? The one-thousandth time? The surprise gift of fresh-baked cookies from your neighbor two doors down? The suprise towel set you gave to them in return? Your first poem? Your one-hundredth poem? That last moment before Mom passed away? A successful marriage? A lost baby? Great sex? Heavy wild petting with a new boyfriend or girlfriend? A surprise sunset? A spontaneous walk in a fresh spring rain? That $1.00 bargain copy of last year's bestselller you've been meaning to read? Your first apartment? Your memories? Someone else's memories? All memories?

Is there a monetary value you can place on any of this? If not, isnt' it all value just the same? Isn't it all wealth? Where else is their hidden wealth not seen in that light? Is money the point or quite beside the point? Do we want money or value? How DO we define “wealth”? How SHOULD we define “wealth”? How are we GOING to define “wealth”?

“Money” is not a need - VALUE is the need. Money is only one method on a very long list of ways to obtain it.

Hi Naumad, Bruce and all. I see I haven't visited in a long time. I agree about the diffrenece between wealth, inner wealth and money, which should not be the measure of all things we really value including life.

As we live consciously and become more and more conscious we not only think about ourselves but others well being as well. Now money-as-debt paradigm needs to go, it is commodifying everything we value, putting us on the wheel of mindless production, consumption, debt, waste, war, poverty, pollution you name it. But as Americans we are so conditioned by our comfotable lifestyle that we tend not to think or feel others pain, including our own. We are constantly avoiding facing our pain, suffering and disappointments and filling them up with whatever money can buy.

But the problem is more accute than we think or our mind is ready to accept. It is beyond belief what is happening in our economic political institutions for a long time. And we are not prepared if things turn very bad very quickly. Don't want to scare you, yet we must not get complacent or paralyzed by disbelief and think it happens to other people and countries and not here!

I was studying IMF for sometime and how it is invading and saddling poor countries with shaky or dictorial government with DEBT dollars.
And Unicef says 500,000 children dying each year because of debt burden on these countries.

I am for changing the current Money-as-debt paradigm TO

MONEY_AS_TRUST (debt-free) paradigm as it is supposed to work, had it not been monopolized by a few crooks.
