Going Raw For 30 Days

Josh said Oct 9, 2007, 2:13 PM:

Hi everyone-
Has anyone seen the trailer for “Raw For 30 Days”. It’s a documentary about Six people who normally eat fast food, who try going 100% raw for a month. It features doctors, experts, and raw foodists are interviewed including Gabriel Cousens, MD, David Wolfe, and Woody Harrelson.

I am new to raw foods and very interested in hearing from others who are raw foodists and people who are trying to change their lives for the better. Many people in my family have diabetes and I have changed my diet and gone raw to prevent myself from also getting diabetes.

I found the trailer on Youtube at:

Hi Josh,

I haven’t seen the film yet, but I did have the opportunity to interview Helen Ross, MD who runs the Reversing Diabetes Natually program at Tree of Life (this is the program that the film is about) for the magazine I edit, LILIPOH the spirit in life. The interview is online at www.lilipoh.com and go to the Winter 2006 issue, or directly in the archives you can go to www.lilipoh.com/articles/2006/winter/reversing_diabetes_naturally.aspx

I have been waiting with anticipation for the completion of this documentary. I think it will do amazing things for people and I hope it gets passed around for maximum viewing.
I spent a month working at the Tree of Life in June 06 and got to meet Keith, the guy you see encouraging the 6 people in the trailer. He is very dedicated to the TOL and to its mission.

The young African American man you see in the forefront continued the program at home and I believe turned on several members of his family to the raw life style. He was due to be fitted with an insulin pump prior to entering the TOL and chose this option instead. Like I said, I cannot wait to see this. I plan on showing it to my high school kids at school.

I saw these articles below (in a major mainstream newspaper, no less) and thought I'd pass them along.

Three newspaper editors are going on a “Raw for 30 Days”-style challenge:

Here’s the blog they’re doing about the experience:

I love to see these topics in the press – please visit the articles, email them to others, and post your positive comments – these actions help encourage more positive stories in the future.
