Juice cleanse

Erika [no longer around] said Sep 18, 2007, 9:36 AM:

I’m considering doing a juice cleanse. I’ve done this before but never lasted very long. I’ve done other types of cleansing, such as the master cleanse, and it has been more successful.

I’ve been trying to flush high levels of lead out of my system and am still healing from some chronic illness.

What types of juice cleansing/fasting have people here done? How much juice, what kind of juices and how long has worked for you? Do you take anything else besides juice?

Thanks for any experiences you can share with me!

Hi Erika,

I just placed an article written by Gabriel Cousens from the Tree of Life (www.treeoflife.nu) in the section Raw News and Discussion of this Pod where he says that Natural Cellular Defense (NCD) Zeolite  has a chelation-like effect in removing heavy metals (particularly mercury, cadmium, lead, and arsenic) and other toxins from the body.

The detoxifying results of the combined use of green juices with NCD Zeolite are absolutely amazing!
The article is called: ZEOLITE: MIRACULOUS DETOXIFYING RESULTS

Enjoy!

I have tried zeolites and unfortunately my lead levels are still, literally, off the charts. I have been trying some other nutritional things but was thinking I wanted to try one more intense cleanse before I go to my doctor to get retested. I’m trying very much to avoid chelation.

I wish the zeolites had worked but they are so expensive I can’t stay on them if I’m not seeing a reduction in my levels.

Hi again Erika,

Have you tried the combination of green juice feasting and NCD Zeolite?
What I understand out of the article written by Gabriel Cousens it is this combination that obtains good results.

blessing,
michael

Hi Erika,

Yes, in a study conducted by Gabriel Cousens, results show that a 10 day green juice fast combined with high dosage of NCD zeolites by waiora (10-15 drops 4 times x day) is succesful in completly removing heavy metals from the body including depleted uranium.

You could call to inquire about the study or set-up an appointment with the doctors at the Tree of Life and talk about your situation. Their number is:  Toll Free 866-394-2520

Blessings,

I’ve been exploring and contemplating this some more and am considering the zeolite/green juice fast some more.

It seems from Gabriel Cousen’s study that a 2 week juice cleanse is most effective. I know from experience that 2 weeks is a hard mark for me to meet what with chasing after my 4 year old and running my businesses.

I thought of the following though: 1 week green juice + zeolites and 2nd week green smoothies + zeolites. Do either of you or anyone else have any opinions on this approach?

Also, from studying a lot of aspects of heavy metal detox I know it’s important to keep your system moving. Do you think I should employ a salt water flush (ala master cleanse), fiber supplements and/or a laxative tea?

Thanks for any advice, just hoping to get some other perspectives besides the voice in my head!

Thanks for your additional information. I definitely will look into it some more. It is just a really expensive product and as I said before I saw no lowering of my lead levels after using it.

I still plan to do a juice fast at least though, for my overall wellbeing. If either of you have anythings you’ve found helpful on juice fasting that would be great.

Congrats on your decision to do a juice cleanse. The most powerful is fresh juiced raw greens such as kale and spinach, etc… but here is the deal…..

The Master Cleanse is cake in comparison because it contains maple syrup.Your body does not undergo the same intensity of a cleanse as a raw green veggie juice cleanse.

Consider your current state of health, toxicity level, and diet before going full strength into a green veggie juice cleanse. They cleanse the blood and provide an intense yet amazing cleanse.

Personally I suggest you follow this ladder when it comes to fasting and cleansing. Here is listing most intense to least

Raw Green Veggie Juice
All other raw veggie juices
Raw veggies only
Raw Fruit juice
Raw fruit only

Perhaps, following a plan like this will get you prepped
Number 1 : make sure you are eliminating at least 2-3 times a day (the most important part of a cleanse)
Number 2: take a clay and pectin mixture/drink to remove the sludge that may be lining your GI tract (this may be unnecessary if you have been raw for several years)
Once you feel totally “slick free” and digestion is smooth and regular, then proceed into the juice cleanse

Prep the body before going juice:

Day 1: breakfast fruit, wait 1 hour to change foods, lunch salad, wait 1 hour dinner fruit
Day 2: breakfast fruit juice, lunch veggie juice, dinner fruit juice
Day 3: green juice all day..this isn't tasty or easy unless you add fruit juice to it
Continue day 3 as long as you like….perhaps even 14 days, be aware that greens are very balancing and detoxifying as well as spiritually awakening, you may FEEL different. Know that you are deeply saturating your system with pure nourishment.
When you decide to break the fast do so in reverse order of how you started. You would have Day 2, then day 1, then back to a refreshed diet.

So, if you have not done a fruit cleanse first you may want to work your way into a veggie juice cleanse. If not, just know it will be much different and may feel more difficult.

Good luck in your health endeavors!

Hi, just my 2 cents here-
you may try out MODIFILAN as an alternative (and less controversial) alternative to Zeolite. It has been used on patients in the Chernobyl disaster to cleane out heavy metals. You can also take supplements with Curcumin (active part of turmeric) and milk thistle to aid the liver detoxing. I've heard about EDTA chelation and if well researched it may be of benefit.
Also, research your water. Good water can help cleanse much.
Rebounding or other light aerobic exercise can encourage lymphatic system movement which will further aid detoxification. If you can afford to, go to Infra-red saunas, they detox as well. So , there you have it, many detox pathways. :-)
