New to the conversation of raw food.

Jeremiah said Nov 27, 2007, 2:11 PM:

Aloha All,
My body is guiding me to raw foods as access to detoxing and losing weight.  Since the 11/11 Stargate  and then the 11/24 Full Moon my bosy has become less and less tplerant of what it used to desire or crave.    My latest blog mentioned this at  http://jeremiah.zaadz.com/blog/2007/11/changes_from_energy_shifts_leading_to_and_beyond_full_moon_11_24
and Elissa invited me here.

Another friend suggested connecting to http://www.radicalhealth.com/ and buying their “pristine food.”   Any experience here would be appreciated.

Last week I bought a Raw Foods program from    Raw Foods World Summit at http://www.rawsummit2.com/  and will be sharing what I learn after I receive my materials.

Blessed IS,
Jeremiah

Hi Jeremiah,

I looked at the Raw Summit material myself.  Please share what you think of it.  I'm interested to hear.

Aloha,

Elissa

Aloha Elissa & All,
Okay, what I received is not what I thought I had signed up for and yet it is good.  I had expected something in it would have actually described what “Raw Food Diet” means.  What it includes is the transcripts and audio CDs for all 14 presenters at the Raw Summit 2.

I'll need to search elsewhere to get practical instruction for moving towards a raw food diet for detxing and losing weight.
Blessed IS,
Jeremiah

Hi Jeremiah,

I highly, highly, highly recommend the book “The Raw Food Detox Diet” by Nataila Rose.  You all will probably hear me continuing to mention it, and that's just because it's been that important to me.

This approach is exactly about detoxing, and in a very graceful way.  You pick the level of Raw that works for you - rather than an all or nothing approach.  (Whew!) So, the first level includes meats, if that's what works for you.  (I was already vegitarian, so I started at a level that didn't include meats).

And then by food combining well, eliminating certain hazards to the detox / elimination process, and flooding your body with live enzymes, your body does the clean up work naturally (with the occasional enima and colonic to assist the process).

When the body detoxes, the weight falls off (I'm now skinnier than when I got pregnant, and my baby is only 10 months old - and I gained 68 pounds during pregnancy!).

This book is my food Bible.  It sits on my kitchen counter, and I refer to it constantly.  The approach is so down to earth, because the bottom line message that I get from it is - do what works for you (staying within certain guidelines for detoxing) - and make your best choices as you move along.

And, in so doing, I have found the vibrational level in my body increasing.  And, because the vibration of life force energy in my body is increasing, I really am now so sensitive to how foods of a lower more dense vibration make me feel.  And now that I know how they make me feel, they are less appealing to me.  And in that way, I'm moving slowly and gracefully to a purer diet that will continue to become higher and higher in vibrational resonance.

Hope that helps!

Aloha,

Elissa

What is interesting is the idea that raw food is a packaged product just like processed foods from the grocery store. There are safety seals on organic and raw food called peelings, that do not keep out poison per se, but protect the nutrition in the fruit or vegetable on the other side of the peeling.

Nature tells us, that everything oxidizes, especially raw foods, because the only preservatives nature puts in the food are the anti-oxidants, which are meant to provide protection for the body once we consume them.

Question? Do those bags and devices that allow the methane release and delay the spoiling of fruit and vegetables add to the shelf-life of fruits and vegetables in -terms of maintaining nutritional value.

Everything has a shelf-life including natural food. Although rotting is prevented, can we assume that the nutritional value has an extended shelf-life as well?

Great question, Bryan.  I've wondered the same thing myself about packaged lettuce and sliced apples, etc.

My gut check is that I feel good after I eat them, so they still must contain a good amount of life force energy.  That's good enough for me for now, until I find out more.

Yes, I like to bring the pendulum along with me to the mart occassionally and let it swing while I buy produce. Big swings mean that what is closeby has the best nutritional value right here and now! The heart never lies….yes?

I pick out the best fruit and veggies by feeling the energy of each with my hand.  I learned that is truer for me than a pendulum.   That is why I prefer bins with individual pieces I can touch rather than bags.

Yesterday and today are my first two days on the Raw Foods plan Elissa recommended.  Usually when I leave work I am tired.  Today I left energized and after my first Green Lemonade am very energized.

I second Alissa's recommendation of Natalia Rose's book.  This is such a great resource for transition, she has so little dogma around food.  She's released some other books that I have but have yet to read.

As far as packaged produce (sliced apples, peeled baby carrots, salad mixes) I try to avoid them, they just do not seem like a great idea to me.  I do buy baby mixed greens but only when they are sold loose.

Organic food is absolutely natural and is packed with loads of vital nutrients required by the body , does not involve the usage of any kind of preservatives , synthetic artificial inputs , fertilizers , herbicides , insecticides and other harmful chemicals.

I am just researching upon this food industry recently and trading with some genuine Indian organic eatables and getting more closer and friendly interactions with farmers. i am a great fan of organic livings. I think India is home to enormous of organic and herbal species.
