What is universal about Reiki?

Meenakshi said Jun 14, 1:15 AM:

When we're attuned to Reiki, there are words we're given, about what Reiki is. There is also the experience of the attunement itself, that begins to show us what it is.

And as time goes by, that experience keeps changing - whether or not we take any action to actually “do” Reiki.

So I was wondering - what do you experience as universal, about Reiki?

My universal experience with Reiki…

I would say that level 1 Reiki is all about exploring your self and all sentient beings on a physical level.  We learn “touch therapy” in its most indigenous form.  Hands on, Reiki on.  Hands off, Reiki off.  It is very physical in nature.

In level 2, we become open to healing on a quantum level.  We can heal the past, the present and the future.  Our clients don't have to be in front of us.  We can heal on a DNA level…infinite potential!

In level 3, not only do we learn to pass on attunements and traditions, but we also amplify our abilities to heal…we open more fully to the power of healing that Source energy provides.  :)

I would love to hear more thoughts!

For me it is the prickling awareness of and embodied connection to Life/Source/Spirit - a tingling Presence in the present.

The wonderful thing about Reiki energy is that it is that flow of connection that is the closest we can feel to Oneness in this 3-D dimension. It's something that can be sensed and felt even by those who are deeply asleep.

What is universal abt Reiki as I experience it, is that it flows from the hands of a surgeon as freely as from those of a Reiki healer. Our intention helps us to become aware of its flow.

I remember how this insight came to me when I once was able to physically heal through regular Reiki self-healing; and when the condition manifested again a few years later, went in for a procedure. Someone told me :”Oh, then Reiki didn't work this time” and I found myself saying -“Actually, it did. This time it worked on clarifying my thoughts, emotions and biases so that I was able to get the surgical help I needed for the physical body!”

They did say that Reiki is intelligent and knows where to flow, right?

Yes, the more we let go and let our life force flow the deeper we heal ourselves and others…

I was speaking today to another who is a Reiki Master. She is writing a book that she would like to see published. And I realized how awriter uses - or  can use - can use the principles of Usui Shiki Ryoho, the healing method that uses reiki, the universal energy:

To call in our guides and masters into the situation of writing and getting a book published
See that this is an action that helps to bring into wholeness the writer, reader, and all who come into contact with the words in the book.

That just as the flow of reiki does not originate from one person or end there, the flow of the words does not originate or end with the writer; that just as the reiki healer is a facilitator, so is the writer a receiver of ideas from wherever they originate, a crafter of them into words, a midwife who is actively involved in all aspects of the writing, organizing, thinking, editing, rethinking, reorganizing, sending to publishers, interacting with the pre-publication readers and later perhaps with the post publication ones…..

And in this process, the writer fully lives the ideas in her book, as does the healer. Receives the blessings of the ideas, as does the healer who channels reiki.

The healer stays detached from the outcome of the session - or strives to - knowing that in its true intelligence, the reiki energy brings about the highest good of all concerned. And perhaps, so can the writer.

In this way, just as a healer feels refreshed and blessed after giving or receving reiki, knowing both to be in the flow; so can the writer take the blessings of the flow of creation in which she has played an amazing part.

How blessed I am to be in such close touch with one who is writing….!

I'm Level One and a lifelong Christian. I met the One I now call Holy Spirit/God/Lord when I was very young. When Reiki is flowing through me I feel the same Presence of Love. The universality of Reike to me is this pure Love Presence. The wonder of this is the awareness of Flow, movement into, through, and from me.

It is written that 'he who loves is of God' and again, 'God is Love'. If any person can overcome the biases of his/her life and be willing to let Love happen, then that one is a candidate for a Reiki future. Reiki is available.
