Farewell Party and Burma Fund Raiser 16 Dec Sunday!

LNGarrison said Dec 4, 2007, 10:17 AM:

Hello Lovely Seattle Folks,

Yep, this is it! Justin and I are moving to NYC! We're going to spend Xmas at his parents house in Cortland, NY and then I'm headed straight to the city to start grad school. We leave a few days before Xmas. Justin will be back for ”Hamlet” but I'll be gone :(….

In the tradition of our big and crazy gatherings, we are hosting a
Holiday Gift Fair of fairly traded goods
Sunday Dec. 16
1:00-6:00 pm
At the yoga studio ”Yoga On Beacon
3013 Beacon Ave. S
Seattle, WA 98144
(206) 324-YOGA (9642).

Come do your holiday shopping and help raise money to provide medical services in Burma. PlayFair Trading Co. will be selling beautiful bamboo housewares from Vietnam (similar to what is sold at WholeFoods, but at a much more affordable price!), vegetable dyed (no lead!) wooden toys from India, jewelry and handicrafts made by Tibetan Nuns- feel good about your purchases!

As most of y'all know, Burma Humanitarian Mission is something I am personally invested in as I volunteered last year. BHM provides funds for backpacker medics of the Mae Tao Clinic on the Thailand-Burma border who provide medical services to over 170,000 people living inside Burma with no access to health care. www.burmamission.org

Light snacks, Live music by Jibran (www.jibranmusic.com) and others, and information on what more you can do to help Burma will all be provided!

If Justin and I can't see you before we leave to the Big Apple, we hope to see you at the fund raiser/farewell party! At least come on by and say 'hi' and listen to some great music! Thank you so much for making Seattle rock for us!

Much, much love,
Lorran
