hello seattle-ites --

glad to see a local group here. i'm new to the gaia community and really like what i see here. happy to be part of this.

i'm in the northend (kenmore) and have lived in seattle since moving here for college back in '83. i'm married with kids and am supposed to be all grown up now, but i don't feel grown up at all. i spend a lot of my time doing art (painting, experimenting). you'll find a link on my profile page to a website that has photos of my work, if you're curious.

looking forward to getting to know what this community has to offer and how i might plug into it..

Hello to Everyone here!

I have lived many places and last year I moved from Portland Oregon to Rainier in order to be closer to Ram's American Gnostic School http://ramtha.com

I looked through the pods to find people in my area but looks like Seattle is the one!

Seems I am always going through transitional periods always discovering the new
so Being such a continual work in progress I seldom know how to describr myself

However I do want to introduce myself here and see what evolves from this group

I just joined and thought an introduction is in order. Name is Marianna, living on the Eastside, and thoroughly enjoying Zaadz! Looking forward to meeting more new friends. that you might consider having at least some of the zaanghas in
non-alcohol venues............ some recoverers out here!

I am along time Seattle resident, I came upon zaadz via ~C4Chaos' work on FLICKR. I am a father and a husband, I have a cat and a dog and I love to travel and eat!

Current book on my night stand Shalimar The Clown by Rushdie
Current music J Dilla, Shukar Collective and lots of electronica.
Favorite place for a causual dinner or lunch Tamarind Tree, 1036 South Jackson Street.

I try to remain present in all situations, it's hard.

Hey Mary!

I was thinking about you just recently. I had not heard how you were doing after the back surgery. Glad to know all is well. I have an ex who had the same surgery when he was a teenager and he was/is still able to be very active and do most sports even with the rod in his back. So, best of luck to you and whatever comes your way in the future. ~ mu

PS: I'm sure you are not the oldest at 41. Even though all of those bright shiny youthful faces at the Zaangha may tell another story! ;-)

Hey folks. I'm a single mom living in a little old house on a big wooded lot in lake forest park with my 9 year old son and 13 year old daughter. I'm in graduate school for an M.Ed. in special ed. I am changing over from a career in public defense. I used to work in the king county mental health court, and before that I represetned erotic dancers in dirty dancing cases for a few years... Onward and upward, right? But I took this quarter off because I had to have major surgery to correct a very severe spinal curvature which slowly worsened over thirty years, despite lots of stretching, pilates, yoga, ultmate frisbee and good food... I look totally "normal" but I have two titanium rods in my spine now, which take some getting used to.. I'm looking for work, starting summer or fall, since I will have my teaching certificate. Not sure excatly what I want to do... I could teach in a private school (English, philosphy, composition, etc.) or in a public school (special ed..). or practice some kind of law related to education... I dunno.... I've also considered jobs in other states or overseas, but it's no mean trick to move a household that consists of me, two kids, a bernese mountain dog, three cats and all our S_it. look foward to meeting all of you soon. Being somewhat outside of that demographic, I wasn't really involved in any drama, but I can't really image there not being some when you get than many teens in a room! There are some very talented musicians, though. As an added bonus, they just fixed their wireless networking! It was very sketchy for a while. Now it's pretty solid.

Hmm... concidering that I have now met some of you, I guess I better introduce myself.

Screen name is Ejoty and I pronounce it "EE-jot-tee." Basically I discovered it as a youngster by using every fifth letter of the alphabet. And used it for a unique D&D character name. (Yes, I'm a Gamer Geek!!)

My real name is Jesse.

I was born and raised in Seattle, with most of my formative schooling in Bellevue.

I currently live in West Seattle and work Downtown.

Never really traveled much outside of the area.

Spiritually, I'm still looking but have focused via "messages" on Buddhism and Hinduism.

Haha all the kids from my school hang out at Hotwire. I used to go on thursdays but then I realized that all the kids there are too dramatic. And too noisy. Most other times it's nice and relaxing, though.
