If you've heard Van Jones speak, you'll know why I think this is a 'don't miss' event. He's one of the most inspiring individuals I've ever encountered, and I don't think I've ever leapt out of my chair to give someone a standing ovation the way I did after the last time I heard him speak. And everyone around me felt the same way -- it was a completely spontaneous and beautiful thing. It may not happen again, but it's still sure to be a great evening.

Also, I'm going to the Feist show later that eve at the paramount -- if anyone here is a huge fan, I actually have an extra ticket which I may sell (or, perhaps, gift to a passionate but financially challenged fan...)
