Global Zaangha Day 2007 @ Seattle

~C4Chaos said Sep 16, 2007, 12:09 AM:

Hello Everyone,

Seattle Zaangha Seattle Zaangha Seattle Zaangha Seattle Zaangha Seattle Zaangha

Just got back from the Global Zaangha Day @ Seattle. There were seven of us in the group: me, David, Marianna, Mandy, Dave, Michele, and OM Bastet. We didn't have any prepared program or agenda. After the initial introductions we just formed a circle and let the group dynamics flow naturally. We took turns sharing our story on how we got to the Seattle area; how much we love living in this part of the world; how we found Zaadz and how it impacted our lives. We also talked about our dream/fantasy jobs: “What would you do if you can do anything and not worry about the bills?”

It was surprising to hear that some of us are already doing what we love to do, whether it be starting a new clothing line, or energy healing. As for me, I love connecting with people and ideas online so I consider myself lucky working at Zaadz. But my most recent fantasy “job” is to be a venture capitalist for social entrepreneurs so that I could support people with great ideas on how to make a better impact on society. I know. You have to have lots of money to be a venture capitalist. But hey, it's my fantasy ;)

It was a honor hosting such wonderful people.

David - for being there, all smiles, ready to meet total strangers in spite of his self-professed introversion. We're the same personality type, my friend, so I know the feeling. That wasn't so bad, eh? :)

Marianna - for sharing her inspiring story on how she followed her heart and found her dream job as a healer.

Mandy - for her contagious smile and sense of purpose, and for bringing up the topic of “fantasy jobs.”

Dave - for being the “skeptic” in the group, and for showing off his iPhone.

Michele - for being the first one to show up, volunteering to bring the snacks, drinks, cups, napkins and plates, and for being a natural facilitator. Godspeed with your all-white project :)

OM Bastet - for her enthusiasm in getting all her personal friends to join Zaadz, and for being a guide to new members.

Thanks to everyone for bringing food and drinks. But more importantly, thank you for opening up and sharing your stories, your dreams, and your honest feedback on Zaadz. We'll do our best to make it the best online oasis for people with a desire to grow and to give to the world.

P.S. So sorry about the parking tickets. It just goes to prove that time flies when we're having fun :) Until next time…

P.P.S. To all those who weren't able to attend… No worries… We're just getting started :)
