More info: Event Website Lawrence Lessig is a Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and founder of the school's Center for Internet and Society. Professor Lessig is the author of Free Culture (2004), The Future of Ideas (2001) and Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace (1999). He chairs the Creative Commons project, and serves on the board of the Free Software Foundation, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Public Library of Science, and Public Knowledge. He is also a columnist for Wired.

This event is sponsored by the UW The Graduate School, School of Law, Shidler Center for Law, Commerce and Technology, Center for Communication and Civic Engagement, UW Libraries, and the Center for Internet Studies at the iSchool.

I've tracked down more info.  Free tickets are available from the UW Book Store starting on Oct. 19th.  I'm not sure how many I can get, but if folks are certain they want to attend, I can try to get them tickets on Friday.

I picked up tickets for me and C4.  If you go to get them, they're at the information desk on the ground floor of the book store.  They person at the desk may have no clue what you're talking about at first, but if you tell them it's for the Graduate School Lawrence Lessig talk on Nov. 2nd, they should figure it out.  They had the tickets sitting on the corner of the info desk.
