HummingBird oh Meenakshi, I missed your post until now! I'm afraid I dont always remember to look at the grapevine for some reason - maybe because it doesnt send notifications. I'm glad you pointed out the triple one membership moment! Mmm maybe The Dark Side was new at that time - can't remember well. The pod is always growing! Love (4 months ago)

Two different things...

Lucius [no longer around] said Feb 22, 6:56 AM:

I’m good at computers, always have been.  For some reason, I just get them, since the 8th grade (a long time ago).

But computers don’t inspire me.

Healthy lifestyles inspire me - I don’t have one of those yet, but would like to.  I’m inspired by those that live healthy and green lifestyles.

Compassion inspires me.  Those that can have uncompromising compassion are true inspiration - the Dalai Lama comes to mind.   While many see him as the reincarnation of Avalokiteshvara, he claims to be a simple man - a monk.  I trust his judgment.  Can you imagine if we raised all our children as the Dalai Lama was raised - to feel compassion and a responsibility to ease the suffering of all sentient beings?

Wow!

Lucius, thank you for this little window. Interesting that you’re good at computers, but they don’t inspire you. And you’re inspired by a healthy lifestyle, but you don’t yet have one.

Oooh - i so resonate with your feelings about the Dalai Lama and compassion. This is a perfect seed to have growing in your heart

love

Computers, and technology, in general are just tools.  I am fascinated by them and always look for ways to use them in any endeavor.  But computers are not the inspiration.  Computers only do what you tell them to do, or at least that was the design.  More often than not they don’t do what you tell them to do. :)

I’m inspired by growth and right now where I feel the most pull is to a healthy and balanced lifestyle.  Breaking habits is hard (I do like doughnuts).  But at 40, I realize it is a now or never scenario.  I want to be in shape for my young son the way I was for my older girls.
