4. An intelligent Universe

HummingBird said Mar 2, 5:23 AM:

An intelligent Universe
We have seen that archetypes are symbols, the language of the mind and are found everywhere. Jung also coined the term, Collective Unconscious, which can also be called Universal Consciousness or Oneness. In a sense Universal Consciousness is like One Mind which all beings ‘tap’ from. The perceived individual mind can be seen as an expression of ‘a greater universal mind’.

Guru Life
We live in an intelligent universe where Guru Life is our greatest teacher. Pain may be an indicator where a lesson is to be learned

In  its intelligence the universe is immensely efficient. Teachers and students learning from each other or teaching each other; doctors and patients coming together in pain and suffering to spiral into healing; healers and receivers connecting to forward cycles of healing; shocking tragedies jump-starting the collective heart of humanity; atheists defining themselves by what they do not believe in, and believers lulled into darkness of complacence…..

In its efficiency, the universe shows the two sides of every coin to the One.

Who am I ?? in relation to the collective unconscious?
Is the collective unconscious a type of oversoul?
I certainly believe in an intelligent universe because to me that is what God is, the energy that permeates the universe and makes it live. I am a part of that energy so I am God however God is not me. God is the synergistic synchronistic ‘all that is’ including me. I am the drop in the ocean that is God. Therefore I am related to and a part of all the other drops and that includes all of you.

I am a small point of light.  I can't be seen from space, but I am perfectly and fully visible from heaven.  Everything that I have been and done for millenia before this moment, is known.  Everything I will become and do fro millenia to come, is known.  Who knows this?  Somewhere inside this earthly shell, I do, and somewhere away from this earthly realm, billions of other souls do.  This earthly  life is just as fleeting and insubstantial as a dream.

my sense of 'I' in relation to the universe has been shifting - I guess it shifts constantly. I had been thinking the universe is something kind of unchanging\complete and I - a vessel tapping from this existing wholeness. Now I sense nothing is static and all is ever changing perception.. and the more I write, the more gobbly gook unravels…

I sense the mysteries which my rational mind will never grasp because it is not designed to.

I read this quote below recently and also had a conversation with Assaji, who is here on Gaia and very precious - it dawns on me that 'the ego' is an error of perception. I quite like this because I thought I had to learn how to 'dodge' the ego - this attitude felt a sort of 'Calvinistic' and seemed like a lot of hard work, like doing acrobatics to outwit myself - now I have the sense I need to unlearn a mistaken way of thinking.

There seem to two kinds of searchers: those who seek to make their ego something other than it is, ie, holy, happy, unselfish (as though you could make a fish unfish), and those who understand that all such attempts are just gesticulation and play-acting, that there is only one thing that can be done, which is to disidentify themselves with the ego, by realizing its unreality, and by becoming aware of their eternal identity with pure being. - Fingers Pointing Toward the Moon by Wei Wu Wei

Gien said Jun 9, 2:47 AM:

What can words say
that will point one's mind to a new way?
It's all in the eye of the beholder
Words seem to come from the outside
enter one's mindstream and interact with you
yet
like quantum physics
wisdom does not exist
until that interaction manifests
before that
words only have a potential

When we scribe
we create symbolic potentialities
There is no fruition
until a mind interacts with it
Only then
does the mind
create its own meaning
————————————

If I am intelligent
then how can the universe not be?

Intelligence is a quality of human beings
yet it's potential must exist in the universe itself

The question I ask myself is:
How does this human intelligence
reconnect with the universal intelligence
the potentiality from which it came?

The dualistic mind,
human intelligence
the square peg
trying to fit itself
into the round hole
the universal intelligence

How ripe my mind
determines when it will fall from the tree
of my own egoistic misconception
A tree rooted in the ground of nondualism itself

Indeed, in conceiving itself
is to be found
the root of misconceiving itself

For the mind knows not its own power
does not recognize its own immense breath
extending far beyond what it “conceives” to know

In egoistic view
we divide reality into inner and outer
thoughts & feelings
separated from people, cars and trees

At the root of both experiences
is the same mind
Do we know this deeply?
Do we feel fundamental similiar
or fundamental difference
between inner and outer?

We are forever told
that the mind of the external guru
is no different than our own mind
yet
do we know what this really means?

Wherein lies the essence
of this often repeated teaching
that comes from every tradition?

We live our lives
compartmentalizing inner and outer
continually believing and reinforcing our misconception
that “inner experience” is “I”
while outer experience is “not I”

From our imposition of this dualistic filter upon our reality
we force the free flowing experience of the dharmakaya
into a narrow confine of karmic view, misconceived ego view
like trapping a bird into a cage
and thereby create our own caged reality

And is this caged reality real?
…..Of course it's real!
because we have created it and accepted it to be real

We have no choice
when our mind leaves no room for choice

Yet, just as the birds caged reality is real
so is the freedom immediately outside of the cage

The mind of the external guru, the “object”
is no different than my own mind, my “thoughts and feelings”

They both appear
manifest without any reason
presence

This presence is beyond doubt
and beyond dependency on any concept
The external guru appears to our eyes
The internal thought or feeling appears to our mind
(The eye is a concept to
another appearance to our mind)
By appearing
both already have equality in reality
appearing is always magical

“it” simply is
We are expressions of an infinitely greater reality
we don't think
“it” thinks
we don't feel
“it” feels
we don't see the external guru
“it” sees
“it” all happens all by “it”self
“you” simply manifest without any conscious intervention
“I” simply manifest without any conscious intervention

Yet
we don't yet see the guru's message
we don't see that the guru is simply pointing our outward seeking
back to our own seeking mind

The mind that seeks externally
is that very object which it seeks

Understanding this is not enough
That puts us no further ahead than where we already are
Understanding conceptually, that is, with the conceptual mind
is to just adding another concept
to our enormous pile of already existing concepts
rather
to fully appreciate it with our entire being
we must penetrate this one concept
and see the exact experience that it points to
