Introductions please...

C.J. said Mar 20, 2007, 12:34 AM:

I have only begun truly living a right livelihood completely in the past few years. It has become an amazing journey of happy chance and amazing opportunity that I would not have believed possible a decade ago. I have been fortunate in ways I still cannot totally believe by letting go and following my bliss.  It is very simple, but rarely easy and not often kind, but oh, so rewarding. I do what I love and help people and the world at the same time.
So….tell me your stories. Where are you on the path of self-actualization? Are you living (or trying to) a sustainable life?
Peace
CJ

CJ, that is a great story, one that most people would have a tendency to envy I'm sure. I started this pod to help people reach the place where you seem to be. I expect your words of encouragement and maybe some “street” wisdom will greatly enhance what happens here.

Hello to you, users of this wonderful new pod!  My name is Daibhidh and it is nice to discuss these subjects with you.

So where am I on the path of self-actualization?  Well, somewhere in the middle I would say.  Always somewhere in the middle.  It seems, with that in mind, no matter how quick you march or how sure your step his, the percieved destination always grows in length; grows in distance and in temperament.  The horizon line is always changing and the sun, always setting that little bit further down the track.

I think the real question is -for myself anyway- how do we know we are where we want to be?  I mean, if we are forever striving for something more -the new learning and the new experience- can we ever be where we want to be?

I have also, just recently, began feeling like I am living a right livelihood, completely -but in the sense of journey, rather than destination- in the last six months or so.  My unstable and uncertain life slowly began to take form and shape when I realised a certain business opportunity in my 'midst -and that myself and my lady will be at last, soon settling down with our own apartment and own means to an end.  This -in my mind, as it will be in reality, very soon- is the closest I have come to a sustainable life in all known respects.
