Discovering the Inner Gifts of the Intuitive Self

I know this is a little off topic. I'd like to stir within myself the
innate gifts that lay dormant and awaken a stronger 6th sense using
Zener cards. The problem is finding them. I know there are plenty of
on-line testing sites out there and I use some
of them myself. I'm just curious if anyone has located any
manufacturers or distributors of Zener cards for working with intuitive
development. There are of course places to "print" your own but I was
hoping to find something durable. Any suggestions?

I'm very glad to be here. I'm new to this site and am just starting my spiritual journey. This group is right up my ally and I can't wait to connect with others here.

I'm an INFJ, 4w5 so/sx and I'm a Capricorn sun, Cancer Moon, Libra rising. (I have a grand trine in water with my moon in cancer, Pluto in scorpio and my venus/mars in Pisces *My asteroid psyche is exactly conjunct venus and I consider it part of this trine as well*)

I'm a musician with many other artistic/idealistic interests such as Jung, psychology, photography and poetry to name a few.

I have read and am in the process of reading most of the Riso & Hudson books, not yet started on Palmer. From what I have read of excerpts, however, my impression is that Riso & Hudson is much more reliable as an accurate interpretation of the system, although Palmer does have some excellent insights, especially on certain types like 4s.

The Enneagram is one of my favorite tools, also. It has a complexity that most systems do not. It incorporates not just a type, but wings, subtypes, direction of integration, body centers, etc.

How do you see the focus on Don Riso/Russ Hudson compared to Helen Palmer? Are you familiar with other perspectives on the Enneagram?

Yes! Well, I have to admit, my favorite self-discovery tool as of late is the Enneagram of personality as studied by Don Riso and Russ Hudson. I'm even starting my own discussion group on it. ^_^

Hey Vicki,

     I think the Moon can really be tricky as a Focal Planet because it rules emotions, memories, habits etc, and as these things can nudge us unconsciously into reacting from the gut with a knee jerk response, it's easy to find ourselves to easily distracted in our early years when life experiences haven't let us see our more subtle flaws. I think even the most reflective and responsible of spiritual souls will find things they overlooked in teenage meditations that never entered our awareness for all the effort we put to hard work on what we wanted to fix most urgently in ourselves. When I say it was 15-20 yrs. it was more important for quite a while in my early adult yrs. to deal w/ my in-laws more than to overhaul my past responses to a mother I no longer lived near.

     I shared this to openly let folks know that if anyone either personally or in your astrological awareness of the charts of others had maternal tension to consider suggesting it might just be a difficult Moon position. Lunar energy difficult in one place has so many other places to focus on easier parts of life governed by Lunar influences to ease tension in rough spots. I no longer feel clouded (perhaps that 4thH Neptune has been mitigated w/ experience) regarding my mom.

     Too, There is an aspect I never mentioned that may come into play here. The 4thH Scorpio Neptune Squares 12thH Leo Sun on the Ascendant which then disjuncts 8thH Saturn in Pisces which completes a circuit with a Trine to the starting point of the 4thH Neptune in Scorpio. As I understand these complex planetary positions, the energies are usually mastered with the Square first and then the Quincunx before the full benefit of the Trine is felt. I deeply wanted to enjoy that Saturn Trine Neptune and I think the past growth over the years has made a difference.

     Hi,
     I just wanted to mention here in the introductions how cool the "Belief-o-matic" test is for evaluating one's beliefs and correlating the results against the individual world belief systems.   I would recommend every zaadz seeker to take it t least once and reflect on the results and the overall concept.   This is such a powerful tool for self-understanding and to objectively understand the various belief systems in an objective manner!

Hi!
I took the Belief-O-Matic test and I was so fascinated with the results. It is found in the beliefnet link, but can be found with any browser by looking up "Belief-o-matic." The test is a wonderful self-diagnostic tool, but is also a good tool for discussing the spectrum of belief systems in an objective manner. Thanks to Vicki for providing this incredible tool. Everyone on zaadz should take it at least once!

I'm INTP. And I've found that being strongly introverted has probably been my biggest drawback as far as "fitting in". I find that I have an aversion to being in groups of people, and to socializing with groups of people. I'm most comfortable either alone or with my wife, kids or a sibling. Typically outside of my wife and kids I don't even like being around more than one or two other people at a time.

Also, I find from morning till night my mind is kind of working on it's own things and so it's hard to really care very much about work stuff - consequently it seems like a pattern throughout my life has been to be competent in school or work, but not put in the extra energy to excel. Also, I have very little desire to "play the game" in order to ingratiate myself among co-workers or to work my way up the ladder. However, I'm well liked and a friendly guy so I get along fine with others. But I'm not a self-promoter and work in an industry I don't really care about so I'd say I'm languishing in a job that pays decent but to me is not that satisfying and doesn't offer much opportunity for advancement beyond where I'm at now.

I also find that in almost any situation from work to church to poltics I don't "drink the Koolaid", that is I typically have my own ideas on how things are and seem impervious to group-think or getting on board with someone else's agenda or doctrine or plan for global domination.

I guess this all adds up to me being somewhat of an outsider with my own ideas and thoughts, - but bored (although tolerably) in my job and involved in my own thoughts and not quite sure what I want to do with the rest of my life. But generally I have a good attitude and I'm happy in life and involved in spiritual pursuits and enjoying life with my wife and kids. If I had it my way I'd like more time alone and a career more in line with my personality type, but I'm not sure what that would be.

What I think of as my "self" is that part of me that is behind my normal consciousness, somehow managing or directing my experience here. It is what will be left after I die and have shed the body and the personality that I inhabited while in the world. It is the observer, who ultimately is experiencing creation through the temperal existence of the person/ego Rob.
