Debate is unwelcome in that it will invariably look to point outwards from itself … to take out an opponent … literally the word debate means to “beat down”
Opinions are a natural human creation as a product of the brain - and opinion cannot be helped...(more) as it is the foundation of all language …opinions are measurements, clearly …
Here in this group, is a place to ask, why do we measure?
This is not a place to ask, “why are your measurements so poor, and hurtful” or “how do I improve my measurements” - but rather, “why do I measure” … in that self inquiry, something may be revealed, that has not been seen before …
Without that inquiry, held deep within the heart - one will invariably create a “Position” from which one will apply all other measurements … call it a filter, call it an ego, call it a certainty or a conviction … it may be seen that no matter how true the initial insight … it is bound to the false, by its lack of an inquiry, by the taking of a stance …
Please have your self inquiry with you at all times - when you post opinions here …all posits must be able to be turned inward towards self
Please Note: this will be jealously moderated in this group … an inquiry into the hypocrisy* of this can be had, but only in that it also includes an inquiry into how that hypocrisy lives in oneself as well … if you think you are above this same sort of hypocrisy and thus are in a position to point it out to others, go elsewhere please … self inquiry will be held as sacred here …
*the primary paradox of this being, that this group would then itself represent a certainty that all certainty is 'bad' … yes, that is the paradox that is in play here, but HERE, it will not be debated … it can be inquired into as described above …
