Meeting Gaia Ambassador Nicole July 9-11, 2008 in SF

Hello everyone…. I'm not sure how active this pod is at present but I'm hoping that people here in the Bay Area will respond….

The beautiful soul that is Gaia Ambassador Nicole will be here from July 9th to the 11th. She dropped me a note to see if I can help gather fellow Gaians to meet and she asked me to suggest a venue.

As we all know, there are a plethora of wonderful venues in this beautiful place we call home. To help me narrow down the options, I would love to know how many Gaians would plan on attending an event with Nicole here, which days/times you would be available to attend, and what suggestions you have for a free gathering place.

For meeting in S.F. city proper..
As we (locals) all know, Summer weather here is often a bit like a mild Winter elsewhere.. if it's a Sunny day, Baker beach would be my suggestion.. if it's not Sunny @ the beach, it might be sunny somewhere in Golden Gate park. (Rose garden, maybe.)

Just outside the City..
An absolutely ideal  place would be on top of Mt Tam .. that'd require some transportation arrangements ( bus info @ http://www.511.org  )  - or maybe some carpooling.  Another nearby destination would be the Redwood grove @ Muir Woods (also served by public transit.)

Free for the price of buying some exquisite Vegan / Raw cuisine:
Cafe Gratitude ..  the location on 9th Ave has an amazingly beautiful garden patio in the back.

I'd be free some time in the evenings. I'm good with the hiking idea or going to the beach. Having an informal potluck picnic or something in Golden Gate Park could be fun too.
