Living Yoga Sadhana

Franck [no longer around] said May 2, 2007, 8:25 AM:

Hi guys,

I am doing Shiva's 500 hours TT (or rather 300) and am so excited. The reading list is a delight, and the assignments are so exciting. I am in the process of starting my 30 days Sadhana, but had to postpone a bit for some (major) life changes to occur before starting. Now that things are (almost) peaceful, I am about to start.

Anyone got experience to share with me on this? Anyone going to the summer intensive in Venice this coming July?

Shanti.

Hello,
In my journey and with the help of my mentor….i realize that we must do what we can. It all depends on the flow of our life. Some days we will be interuppted and others we will be blessed with a full practice. I have many distractions, two kids, husbands, sisters (;-)) and jobs. But, I have not let these get in my way. I started with 3 days a week. I committed to this small goal and I have succeeded. Now the journey really begins!

Start now, don't wait, just do what you can today.

Blessings,
Moni

I am picking up my journey after many years.  I allowed my every day life to interupt my practice until I actually gave it up for many years.  I am newly returned to it, and though it sometimes makes me sad that I chose to forsake this very important part of my life for so long, I also realize that there was a reason why (a part of my personal journey)  and there is also a reason why I'm coming back to my practice now.

Namaste.

I totally know where you are coming from. To be able to commit to my path, I have taken time off from work for a few months, and am now rethinking the shape of my life. I now teach yoga full time, am loving it, and am trying to figure out what the Universe wants me to do from here.

Confusig but exciting :)

Shanti.

It's wonderful that you are able to teach yoga full time.  I have been working on actually living my practice and my spirituality, and though I'm not sure exactly what form it will take or how it will work, I know this is what I'm suppose to be doing right now, and more importantly, I'm supposed to be sharing it with others.

Namaste.

Hi everyone!!!

I am about to start by first sadhana project. I will probably do shakti or bhakti. Oh and hey Franck and others, how have you managed to teach yoga full time? Is this at one location or several? I would love to get out of my current work place and change careers as a full-fledged yoga teacher full-time, and then eventually open up a studio, and fullfill many other dreams. Now that I am taking a chance to slow down and figure out the steps to get there, how have you guys done it?

My advice for you Franck is to surrender for awhile. That is something I have been working on for awhile. When I am ready for a change, but feel no direction, I think of what my past teacher told me, which was to surrender and let the Divine guide me. So, stop searching for awhile and the guidance for your next step will come to you…you'll know it.

By the way, if anyone is currently taking Shiva's “Rasa Vinyasa” workshop at Yogaphoria this weekend, let me know! That's where I'm going!

Om Shanti
