hi everyone!

i'm, among many other things , a didge player,
sadly a bit out of practice becouse my nose is often close,
so that breathing becomes difficult.
nevertheless i often heard and read about healing capacitys
of the didgeridoo, and a few experiences i made with it
were also encouraging.

is there someone out there who has
ideas
suggestions
experiences
or a starting point
about how to use the didgeridoo for healing ?

I'm not only a believer I'm a testimonial. I cured myself from liver cancer without chemo or radiation using frequency healing. There is a wonderful place called the Life Vessel in Arizona and a method of healing using tuning forks that I used to heal. It was a wonderous experience and folks who knew me couuld see the difference with every treatment. It took 18 months and an operation to remove the tumor (size of a grapefruit), but I'm cancer free and never been sick!

Zack,

It's really quite simple... but it is certainly not easy. While there is this genre of 'healing music', it's nothing new or inherently unique apart from other music. Think about when you've been down and out, and that song that comes on in your car and it just totally renews your outlook and inspires you to pick yourself up... that is healing music at it's core. It is no specific genre, it is no specific scientific 'technique' to processing it (hemi-sync or anything else), is no specific ancient instrument. This is all it is: play from your heart! If you are feeling an emotion as you create, that feeling is encoded in the music. It took me MANY years to realize this with my own music, it really only happened very recently for me, and I am still struggling with harnessing it. It is, however, much easier said than done! I found improvising to be the easiest way to get that 'feeling', and from there I learned to recognize it more. It's the type of thing where you know when it happens, the people your playing with know it happened, its like a light turned on. Now I try to put that into everything, I don't always succeed, but I feel like I am no long wondering in the dark, hoping to get lucky enough to have some feeling in the music. It is a specific feeling you have when your creating, you know your creating from a place beyond your mind and beyond the theory and techniques your using. Take the spoken language for example; not everyone that speaks the language is a poet, but you must know the language to be a poet. This is like knowing the chords and scales and how to work your synth and keep a rhythm and whatnot, all that technical and theory stuff... thats the language, but to be a poet with it you need to use that language as a tool to express your feelings, not merely create music based on the rules of the theory behind the language. That would be tantamount to forming random, but grammatically correct sentences, and calling it poetry. There must be a purpose you feel as you create, just as when you speak you KNOW what you are trying to say. You don't just pick adjectives nouns and verbs at random and put them together in a grammatically correct sentence structure... you have a thought and then you carefully choose the words and form the sentence from that. In fact, it's arguably even less important that you have things 'grammatically' correct than it is that you convey the thought or feeling. But the more you know the more you are able to express those thoughts and feelings.

Hope this helps! It even makes it clearer than it was in my own head having written it out like this!

Healing Flute

Hello everyone. ::waves:: Like my pod, this place seems to have fallen a bit silent. O:-) But I wanted to comment about healing flute playing and this seems to be the place to do it.

I received an American Indian flute for my b-day this year. After playing it for a friend, he told me he felt it would become part of my healing practice and that one day, after giving healing sessions, I would record these songs to give to the people I've healed as part of their continuing process of healing.

It's kind of gone backwards in that I don't yet have a healing practice for anyone but myself yet people are suddenly responding to my music, and I have friends from across the country requesting songs for their friends who feel slightly out of balance.

I'm asking -- if anyone's still around and interested -- for similar stories, and putting myself out there at your service. If you feel I can help, please let me do so. :-)

I have some Tibetan chimes I like to sound... although I struggle with regularity.
I pick songs to sing that are fun and full of movement... vocal acrobatics, if you will. I sing them loudly and frequently as I walk and as I work.
I play several instruments and I improvise on one or more of them daily. This I consider to be very healing and full of release. (i like the paradoxical sound of "full of release")
I also "oooommm" occassionally, or pick a mantra that I can remember at the time. These more serious sounding practices only come in occassional spurts.

At spontaneously opportune moments, I encourage vocal improvisation with groups of people. Singing in creative harmony is a primal communing of the minds, and you can easily work yourselves into a sensual trance of togetherness, or at least have a good laugh as you throw in some motown and soul.
Several of my most memorable and magical experiences have been of this nature. Like a big mind blossom.
The kind of joy created is bound to be healing.

Subsequent to my post about my little trinity of songs I introduced them into another spiritualist group that I meditate with. I was thouroughly spanked after the meditation. It turns out, according to the women of this group, that the Lords Prayer is patriarchial and paternalistic and a symbol of the domination of women and that the 23rd psalm is a text from one of the desert religions and should not be used in favor of the many more beautiful and enlightened texts of the mountain religions and that the Stars Spangled Banner celebrates killing and hate and war and has no place in a religious service.

Now the woman that leads the group offered several quite empowering alternative interpretations of the little trinity of mine but the others would have none of it. I took that as a signal to change my practices and so now I sing only the Lords Prayer and I sing it ever so quitely and I have changed the word Father to Mother in the song. I am not silenced and I have not changed anything really. I am doing the same thing that I was before; I am raising the vibrational frequency of the room to support the service. Nothing more nothing less. That is of course until the next time that someone else decides I am doing something else.

I am an untrained singer other than choir in church and high school. I sing in my spiritualist group to raise the vibration. I sing the lords prayer. I recite the 23rd psalm. Then I sing the Stars Spangled Banner. These three together do make for quite a powerful uplift in the vibrational frequency of the meditation room.

I live on a 900 acre ranch and often take a five mile walk through the hills on the ranch in the morning. I sing from deep in my chest, as best I can, and listen to and watch as the sounds do permeate and blend with nature all around me. It makes me feel larger than life. I wonder how far my voice is traveling and who else might be able to hear me. I wonder about the nature of existence and if someone in the future will walk in these hills and be able to hear my songs. I wonder how the dignity of the songs that I sing and the words that I do recite influence the nature of man.

I don't do this daily but I do it quite often. I am healed every time I do it. I worry every time I sing in my spiritualist group that I will be insufficient to the task. I have not been so far. I must have allies.

My dear friend Zack. I'm in the same boat as you. Some advice? Well for me, I've been hearing music differently for the past couple of years or so. Even while listening to headphones, I can "expand" my ears. What I mean by this is that I can let the sounds roll over my whole body. Bass frequencies resonate my thighs. High frequencies bounce around the inside of my head. I can feel the music. There is a sensativity I never knew I had. And also, the music is much more real. I can visualize the sound and it kind of "plays" behind my eyes. I can go into a state of total relaxation and still learn and grow. Because it's such a slow process that our minds see it as non existant. Listening to music has saved my life. And this is only the start. Pretty soon you'll go to a doctor, and he'll burn you a Hemi-Sync CD.

I like to "om" for a least a minute or so every morning. If i have more time, I like to sound my Tibeta singing bowl, and do some chakra toning and sing some devotional chants.

I had no idea that sand dunes 'sang'..or 'sing'. But then, it does make sense, in that everything on and beyond the earth emits a virational frequency, which if able to be perceived, can be interpreted as music, sound or song.

Zack, I think your first concern should be warming and waking up the music in you.

You said it had become cold and mechanical, right? Well, that will NEVER make dna connections. Musician! Heal and expand and move yourself first! Then, when we hear what you play, the life of it will pour all over us. But not before it's poured all over you.

trudat. still i feel what might be spiritually moving for one isnt the same for another. how do u make universaly moving (dna connecting) music? by learning and expanding on all types of music?
