i am new to Gaia

hello. my nick name is Neko or Nyx. which ever one. i cant say my real name cause my mom says its dangerous. i would apreciate some help with getting to know this site and am glad i finally joined. :)

Hi Neko,
Your mom is right.
It is the web.  Don't give your e mail or phone or address to anyone without asking your mom here.  Security is the number one thing in any job and at home and on the web.  That is the best lesson I have to give.

The art is nice.  
Go to your section on your profile marked photos
In the box where your cat angel is, put make this my icon.
That way you don't come across as a newbie and you won't be approached as a thousand other smily faces without a nose are on Gaia.

So be cool and get an icon first.  You can practice uploading pix and your art and the right icon (your branding for gaia that you choose as cool for you) and do that first.

Write a blog second.  Do not write personal blogs about yourself or family.  Just tell us cool things or share a you tube till you get the hang of blogs here.  You can get a good idea from looking at other blogs and the right ones will indicate to you as a model …

Are you interested in art, music, writing, dance… which form of art first with you?

Also, join Gaia Young Adults same kind of button you pushed to get here so that you can coordinate with some people in your age range.

If anyone approaches you and asks to show you how to work your computer, run the other way… its out security and our HELP here on Gaia will show you everything on your button top right by your mail box.

Let me know when you have messed around with photos and blogs and we will then take you to the next step.

thank you. sorry its been a while but i have been busy with school. i'll get to the icon as soon as i shower and finish this reply. :)

thanks. i'm more interested in art and writing. i mostly write creative and fictional stories. my art is a spur of the moment sort of thing. (or when i'm bored in class and decide to doodle)

Awesome… start with doodles… continue to create on them and keep on doing that.  Inspiration from starting art is always a very cool surprise.

I sent you an e mail on further instructions to do pictures for your photo section of your profile.  Use the help button a lot in the beginning too as you will see that practice, practice, practice is a key to competency.

Kes is a good person to listen to. She is always protecting and thinking about the younger people on Gaia. She is an angel.
