Me, You, Us

I like observing human beings…the individual with his/her experiences.  The thinking, feeling, acting beings.  I am interested in exploring our interior world, our consciousness.  And this pursuit  inevitably turns me inward which leads to greater understanding of other human beings for we are connected. 

My visual creations flow from my journey into inner
depths…pondering, searching, catching fleeting moments of clarity, sitting with mystery and non-knowing.

A poem for my baseball fan friendIT AIN'T OVERBaseball is something
like love. There's an elegance
about it – a fine tension.Fielders pluck comets
from thin and glorious air.
Pitchers make solid spheres
disappear. And batters smash meteors
with matchsticks.But fielders also topple
over fences, sprawl empty-handed
in the dust. Pitchers throw wild.
And batters sometimes tilt
at windmills.Yet they lean in – watch – wait.
They risk looking foolish
in order to be brilliant.
