Free Dance Performance in NYC

Silent Temple said May 13, 9:39 PM:

My daughter Tegan's great great grandfather, Louis Chalif, taught
Arthur Murray how to dance. One day, Arthur came up to him with an idea
for mail order dancing where the steps would be shown on large sheets
of paper, and he asked Louis to go into business with him. Louis looked
at the steps on the floor, and pointing upward said, “When man dances,
his head should be in the clouds, not on the floor!”

Anyway, Tegan is dancing in NYC today, May 14, 2009:

For any of you in the NYC area interested in dance, my daughter, Tegan
McKenzie, shall be giving a solo and group performances at the Alvin
Ailey Dance School in Manhattan at 7 PM today, May 14th. She is
graduating from the Ailey School. Admission is free.

Tegan comes from a long line of Russian dancers. Her great great grandfather was Louis Chalif:

Her
great grandfather, Edward Chalif, was considered one of the greatest
Russian folk dancers in the world, and he was asked by Pavlova to join
her troupe but he declined.

Tegan is carrying on the dance tradition.

You gotta be so proud of your daughter.  How beautiful is life continuum. Art in dance form is one of my most favorite.  My spirit is dancing all of the time & admire those that dance like your daughter.  Expressing life through dance is another layer of aesthetics that keys people out of any troubles.  I hope someone can get this up on YouTube so we can share her work; I found Anna Pavlova. Impressive Links!! Have fun in New York.
