borrowed from Now I Can See the Moon. Now that you have seen two styles of Haiku… the 3-5-3 and this the 5-7-5… start one and we will add to yours as well.

Tai taught me to not have a fear of bees when she started showing photos from her bee collection & wrote about them leave me with a different viewpoint on our honey.

“Winds of change” really speaks to me Tai. Its has a lovely flow to it and the imagery is really good.

I especially like the way the last line speaks back and rounds off the whole poem.

Tai, every aspect of your presence on Gaia is such a pleasure, from the first day we became friends to seeing the way you have gently and quietly made your presence and presents felt in all the groups that you belong to.

Your quality is that of the fragrance of flowers that you bring into our Gaia life daily, and of those haikus that you so inspiringly compose. It is almost impossible to grasp your fragrance, and yet impossible also to miss it.

I am blessed to have your presence in my  online life.

Since I'm celebrating trees in my life right now, I'd like to bring this to everyone's attention.

Lee - Everyone here on Gaia has been so supportive and I have received such wonderful feedback from you all.  The picture above was a purple buddleia until I played around with the image a little!  Yesterday I learned how to layer in Picasa (didn't think the programme had that feature! - you can access it under photo collage)  I'm experimenting a little with moviemaker at the moment on my laptop too.
I love taking an image and merging it into light, to re-form how I see things and soften all the edges!

I wish you could have been with me a month or so ago on an island off of Helsinki. It was a meeting of the Artistic and Spiritual. Wonderful. The energy was so loving I had to go outside and cry. It was something. Anyway, a girl was there who was making a movie about fairies. You would have loved her.

Hi Tai, I love your photo miniatures. It's interesting how when we put constraints on what we are presenting it creates something really special. Making something really small in your case has created really special little miniatures that focus right in on the essence of what you are photographing.

I looked through your photos and they are a really beautiful collection. Not only is each one beautiful in itself but as a collection you create another beautiful piece of art.

From our frustration with the photo size, I have had to do so much trimming! This morning I have lost so many posts and can't seem to add photos either now…  You are right, through having to make the pictures so much smaller in size it has “birthed” much more close up work than I would have done otherwise!  I've done a bit more experimenting with colour and light too with Picasa.

I'll have another go with the pictures today and see what happens - maybe I should wave my magical crystal wand - the wizards had to come to my blog page a few times too yesterday - their magic worked a treat!

Ah Tai, you have such a way with words and with images, and when you meld them together, it's just wonderful :)

your pictures are gorgeous! the detail and color is excellent :) they evoke a wide range of positive emotion due to the various colors shown in them :)

have you experimented with achromatic pictures yet? i believe that taking a swing at a lower energy picture will broaden your ability range, and will demonstrate you can do much more! experimenting with all kinds of emotions will most definitely broaden your range, and will challenge you to use the photo manipulation tools in a different way :)

so here is my suggestion for the floral pictures.. for little projects to help you out, if you do not do these already:

-make multiple versions of the picture. keep the original, and experiment with tints, shades, saturation, artistic filters, the main color schemes (monochromatic, acromatic, tetrad, triad, complimentary, split complimentary, etc, etc..)

by messing with the colors, you will evoke different emotions :) go crazy! go from depressed to stressed to happy to wild :P i know you can do it, you got that talent in ya and i believe in you :)

fun… Suni!  Awesome lesson.. I tried it on a piece of art after looking up those new words in oneLook.com & it works. On the picture below I tried to follow this in the order of the defined terms.
1. monochromatic, having only one color
2. achromatic, without color & therefore white, gray, or black
3. tetrad, a group or series of four
4. triad, a group or series of three
5. Complementary, [pictured] Two colours on opposite sides of the color wheel
6. Split complementary [pictured] color schemes are formed from finding complements - like pink and green - then choosing the colors on either side of the complement like orange.

Thanks for your loving support Suni - I've done a little experimentation, but am still getting used the photo programme I'm using - done layering recently which is fun, and have been encouraged with the black and white photos too by a friend, but not done as many of those as yet…

I'm just glad Kathy has explained what the other words mean below, cos I didn't have a clue!!
