Okay … lets try this again.. O.o This time I'm going to copy what I'm writing.
and now I can only post 1 at a time.. woohoo (slightly agitated… breathe.. lol)  

I've got a bunch of new paintings going on. I feel like I've been doing one every other day. Unfortunatly I've run out of canvas. But I've also lost count on which painting I'm on as far as my 100 painting challenge.


The first on this post is called “just passing through” It was an idea I originally drew out in my journal. Also I was playing with a medium? called liquin that makes things transparent.

okay.. -crosses fingers- hopefully my computer will actually compute… and let me post two at a time. Be aware.. there's alot.

Okay.. The first one I have hanging in my bedroom cause I love it so much. It really is me.. very much me.

The second one…  Is my rendition of Kali the Hindu Goddess of Death. I like her because she is ugly and medusa-esque. But like death she is gruesome on the outside but very nessecary to life.

Ashley wow the first image is wonderful.  I love how the image of the person appears like it is suspended between day and night and earth and air.

Alright. The first one.
I just finished this one about an hour and a half ago. I like clashing things. colors, ideas. I love to see what smashing things togather creates. This started as a sketch. I Like how there is movement but stillness, I like how the colors contrast. I love how she is flat but not. I also love that she is a devilish angel. :)
It makes me happy. I hope it makes you happy too.

The second one.. well all I'm going to say is that I was watching waaaaay to much Moulin Rouge and Chicago. :P She looks like a marionette. O.o

This is a new peice that I'm working on for drawing one… make NO mistake.. the hands are drawn by da vinci.. the project was for the perspective… then we had to copy a master's drawing to learn the techniques. It's only 3/4's of the way done… hope everyone likes it, even though it's not a painting.

Welcome back Ashley… Your precious art is magic. In this piece I am reminded of the mind both conscious and subconscious & how we love choice. It's more than that but that was my first impression. Technically it's perfect but senior to that the communication just speaks volumes. Standing O's to you.

Thanks so much for the input you guys. It's always appreciated. I'm sorry I can't be on here more often. I have to get to FSU by fall of 2011.. It's a personal goal that I have to keep moving towards. So Far.. So good. I love that you all love it and that it moves you in some way.

Okay.. I'm now sick of typing about Christ as Sol Invictus and Apollo as Sol Invictus. Here are 3 out of 4 projects from drawing 1. The perspective drawing if finished in this image.  The other two are still lifes.. the first is a conture and value study. The second is a subtraction study. They are a little blurry from not being sprayed properly with sealant.. CHARCOAL SUCKS… as far as longevity goes. :(

The portrait of Ashley that I saw reminds me of Picasso's Dora…
And of the three drawings above I feel the center one is the strongest. There is a nice feel to it. Very fine!

Wow.. Thanks :D Gosh :D That's actually what I feel is my weakest peice right now.. It was the first project of the semester. I did alright I suppose. Thanks again.

From My Experience, I Agree on the Impermanence and Fragility of Charcoal.

I Have Seen the Effectiveness of Pen and Ink, Combined with WaterColor, as Being a Great Media to Explore, and Pretty Much Inexhaustable, even having the ablity to simulate transparency, with multiple layers when dried and overlaid.

The Medium has Its Limitations, and We always need to push the Limitations, but be aware of the practicality of the Medium.

That was a beautiful haiku. :) I was doing ALOT of meditation when I painted that picture. It still reminds me to think inside of myself each day. So glad it touched you the way it has echoed in me.

great paintures like Picasso never consider their work as a bargain a garbage you would throw away they love evrything they did and talent has the magic key on it everything that is on painting especially the impresionisme need meticulouse and labourate work but that did not stop anyone in painting real and impresionist painting and depose work for the art of the contemplation not as a charge but more as a delight so ashley do not ever forget that you have a gift and a gift is always used with pleasure like i like writing you like painting and none of us wil give up in the race for our lifes not for fame but most for beauty goodness and truth
