After looong struggles in Germany we will start-viy inviation- a German speaking NIng group about SDi in the future. I will co-moderate it.

In contrast to Anglo American language sphere its a daily challenge for us Germans to communicate and translate nealry simultaneously in two directions. Even those of us who have lived and worked in English speaking countries confess something -roundabout 30 percent of lingual distinctions are lost in this process.

However I decided in 2006 to start here at Gaia. I am not blogging at this moment in German. And I decided to do it within a community dedicated to change the world.

Nearly no continuous participation from more than 5 people of Germany. can be detected here. Europeans in toto are a fraction with small numbers only.

The understanding of integrated f2f comunication and online collaboration is here, in Germany in its infancy.

On the other side the world of CEO`s. consultants, cultural leaders and media leaders. They have not grasped the growing power of community and we-forms of communication. There is still a certain form of arrogance regarding these nexus. These guys will have to learn and upgrade their knowledge of the world(s) considerably next years.

Integral poltics and large scale systems change will be my focus next years. However connected with personal growth and highly individual ways of unleashing ones potential. AS CHE UK is intending too. We had this summer excellent discussions at London Integral Circle about emerging developments.

This virtual (and for Londoners real) yahoo group with roundabout 450 members from Europe, USA, Australia New zealand, is a very relevant platform for me. As it is really concerned for spreading deep and broad change globall. While making fully use of regional and local specifics.

The time has come to go into leadership in most various roles. Not only as pundits, gurus and thinkers. But as entreprenurs, individuals with courage and boldness, as women at the edge in dynamic polarity with men at the edge. As people who can act within the mainstream and within the subcultures. As grassroots, individualists and on the stages as much as behind the scenes...

And it can be dangerous too. Brutally demanding. Want to remember what a former teacher (for a short time) of me said. It was Kalrfried Graf Dürkheim. Its true for me for men as much as for women:

The Way of Transformation:

The man who, being really on the Way, falls upon hard times in the world will not, as a consequence, turn to that friend who offers him refuge and comfort and encourages his old self to survive.
Rather, he will seek out someone who will faithfully and inexorably help him to risk himself, so that he may endure the suffering and pass courageously through it, thus making of it a "raft that leads to the far shore."
Only to the extent that man exposes himself over and over again to annihilation, can that which is indestructible arise within him. In this lies the dignity of daring. Thus, the aim of (spiritual) practice is not to develop an attitude which allows a man to acquire a state of harmony and peace wherein nothing can ever trouble him. On the contrary, practice should teach him to let himself be assaulted, perturbed, moved, insulted, broken and battered - that is to say, it should enable him to dare to let go his futile hankering after harmony, surcease from pain, and a comfortable life in order that he may discover, in doing battle with the forces that oppose him, that which awaits him beyond the world of opposites.
The first necessity is that we should have the courage to face life, and to encounter all that is most perilous in the world. When this is possible, meditation itself becomes the means by which we accept and welcome the demons which arise from the unconscious, a process very different from the practice of concentration on some object as a protection against such forces.
Only if we venture repeatedly through zones of annihilation can our contact with Divine Being, which is beyond annihilation, become firm and stable. The more a man learns whole-heartedly to confront the world that threatens him with isolation, the more are the depths of the Ground of Being revealed and the possibilities of New Life and Becoming opened."

Dear Om,

mobilizing the fourth instinct:) (Arianna Huffington) in Europe is a multi facetted challenge. This year the CHE-UK was launched, while the German one is still under the radar screen. I am in contact with its very small core group and we will notice what happens there while focusing on a sustainable working process -which includes right now as much smart work as hard work! -for Germany.

We in Germany have consensus right now that its less about congresses, big meetings and seminars and meetings but very, very focused, commited and pragmatic work in small groups. With highly specialized functions and responsible contributions to supraordinate goals. Taking care of each other and embody the biggest boldness from within such core groups which cares for individual growth and wealth/health as much as for collective purposes.

A communication space will be created in near future.

For me personally the times before big meeetings and after them is often neglected. The first 48 hours after every congress shows a radical decline regularly. Start Up entrepreneurs of all kind know what momentum means in the first 90 days of a company or project.

To develop such momentum in this specific context it takes much. In an article about Meshworks foundations this quote from Don Beck is important:

"In the Seventh emerging category of Foundations, Dr. Beck talks about the "Third Win Purpose" ... "a foundation that possesses an uncanny ability to morph itself to find rapport, identify with, and shape itself to connect with a number of different organizations, interest groups, political groupings,and professional .societies..."

Before the third Win Purpose can be manifested the simply win-win attitude needs to come to life within all members of the core groups. In a country with lots of tribal gaps, hidden ideology still and pre orange blocks this needs to be acclomplished right now:):)even in integral...

Day One: Large-Scale Psychology: The Design, Change and Transformation of Whole Societies

While the conceptual model and process are derived in large part from the most advanced version of Spiral Dynamics currently available, it will also include insights

from a number of different disciplines and experiences.

This includes a useful presentation by Don Beck on the nature of change, shifts, transitions and transformation. The dynamics of change FROM what and TO what

will be explored, and we will analyse the process and principles of how cultures adapt, change, conflict, and even collapse.

You will learn about:-

the massive South African transformation strategy out of Apartheid
the Dutch method of dealing with threats from radical fundamentalism
the current Iceland strategy to recover from financial disaster
innovative programs to defuse conflict in Israel-Palestine through a Hong Kong of the Middle East vision
new approaches to “Transpartisanship” through the use of innovative MeshWORKS technology
the design of a Vital Signs Monitor for Singapore (the Risk Analysis Horizontal Scanning project).

Closer to home, you will see how this process was used to deal with the regeneration issues in a Yorkshire former coal mining village and school - the HemsMESH project.

Don Beck was the first to bring the work of Clare W Graves to the UK in the late 1970s. He played a major role in the South African transformation, and was named

“philosopher-activist for the 21st Century” by EnlightenNext magazine. He currently leads transformational efforts in a number of countries and societies around the

Day Two: A Quest for the Unique Cultural ‘DNA’ of British Society: What should be Preserved for the 21st Century?

This will be a highly participatory day, led by UK citizens.

Lynne Sedgmore will give a “State of the Kingdom” address; Christopher ‘Cookie’ Cooke and others will take the lead in generating conversations on selective topics, ranging from education, to transition towns and sustainability, to youth behaviours, to organisational effectiveness, to cultural assimilation, to health care issues, to law

enforcement actions, and to threats from radical extremism. Jon Freeman, Rosemary Wilkie, Rachel Castagne, and myself, all certified in Spiral Dynamics, will assume active leadership roles.

This is not a one-off event but, we believe, will result in a series of summits around the country on critical issues of the day. The intent at the Regent’s Summit is to

identify the key issues and begin to develop resources.
