spontaneous kundalini

lagniappe said Jun 30, 2007, 10:25 PM:

hello. I thought this might be a good pod to learn more about spontaneous awakening. I had some very profound experiences that occurred quite spontaneously and I was led to find information about kundalini and that is what best describes what I felt was going on. it was amazing and lasted 3-4 months and then because some of the physical signs (trembling/shaking) that occurred spontaneous sort of ‘frightened’ people, I tried very hard to ‘control’ it and I think this resulted in a de-awakening… or a shut down. Since that time I’ve only had momentary glimpses of what it was like.

Hey lagniappe,
I believe you were experiencing a kundalini movement that was bringing about awakening.  When the kundalini begans to move it can be very difficult to deal with and creates all sorts of interesting phenomenon.

Because you didn't go into much detail about the experiences you had, I can only surmise that what  happened to you is what I and other people I know have also experienced.  I have had several powerful Kundalini movements, one of which took me completely out of my body through my crown chakra and resulted in a deep Heart Awakeing when I was at a satsang in ashram in Arizona.  I also have a good friend in Sedona who went through several months of Kundalini movement after having a profound Heart Awakening herself.  Her experiences varied from hot flashes to intense energy rushes through her body.. and the shaking you described.

That (body tremors) began happening to me a few years ago as well.  They come on spontaneously and the body shakes uncontrollably.  As a point of fact, I had one happen just this morning.  Not to worry though.. they are cellular shifts in process.  The energy of the body needs to re-align itself as the frequency is rising.

You may be able to find out more about this particular phenomenon by checking out John Barnes' Myofascial Release Therapy.  A friend of mine who is a massage therapist in Sedona studied under John and was the first to actually explain to me what the mysterious shakes were that I'd been experiencing.  John calls it “Unwinding”.. which relates to the cells of the body releasing old patterns and re-aligning with higher conscousness.

You can invite your process back if you like.  Our own power of Intention is a major factor in whether we wake up or not.. as it is with every other aspect of our lives.  The Universe responds to our will and intent if we put it out strongly enough.  Hope this is helpful.

for the shakes, I recomend taking a few moments (now the amount of moments depend on if your at work or on your own at home) and find a quiet place that you can sit comfortably.  See an energy from the top of your head going down through yourself. See this energy enabling you to either get  the present shakes out - or (say if at work) suspending them in time until you feel comfortable working on the khundalini.

Odd Sleeping Patterns

lagniappe said Aug 13, 2007, 9:55 AM:

Have any of you had strange sleeping patterns with your awakenings? For the past year I have had strange sleep patterns of say 3 days sleep and 2 night completely awake or the other way around…I can’t remember a time that I slept ‘normally’.

Yes I have.  Early on I would sometimes sleep for 12 hours or more, but lately i've been awake until 3 or 4 in the morning.. or later.  Last week I had one night when I didn't get to sleep until the sun came up.  It makes it a little difficult to be out of sync with the world that, but it appears to be necessary.  I know in the beginning it definitely was because my body was processing the changes and I was doing work in other places while out of body.

I remember over a year ago for a year I would go to sleep ok and then always wake up automatically around 3 am….usually with bursts of creativity. I am finding the current sleep patterns less creative and I seem to lack any focus - so I tend to hand out on zaadz alot…I should probably be doing some type of meditation or reading…hehhhhe

You may want to have a look at what's going on with your your thoughts when this is happening to see whether there are any clues.. or ask what it's about or for it to shift if it's not feeling right.

Astral influence is coming up in my consciousness right now.  You may want to have a look at what you're choosing to involve yourself with.  We live in an energetic matrix, and when we do things that take us out of alignment with our true nature we run the very real risk of what I call Dark Lodge influence.  My wife used to call it the Satan Factor and it's quite real on this planet.  Even watching the wrong movies can open doorways of influence.  I don't know if this relates to you or not, but it's floating around in the ethers at the moment so I wanted to mention it.

You are very much on track with where I’m needing to focus my attention on. Very good to hear it from another source….cheers.

Re: shaking

Having had a close and very nourishing encounter with a Quakers (Society of Friends) group some years back, I'm reminded of their experience of quaking.  They take this as a sign that the Spirit is moving them to speak during one of their meditative meetings or elsewhere, and they do not try to squelch it.  In fact, some will not speak their minds unless this sign is present.

I had a similar experience on my first occasion to speak out publicly on the medical-activism topic I'm working on.  It was about a 15-minute speech, and I shook the whole time!  My legs could hardly support me.  The strange thing was that my voice was sure and (as others mentioned later) very effective with not even a quaver.  The only distress I felt was because of this 'symptom'; inside all was calmness and peace as I ordered my thoughts and delivered them.

At the time this was terribly confusing and disturbing to me, a former educator who is long past the fear of public speaking.  I dug out all sorts of medical and psychological factors in trying to explain it to myself, and with those I'm never at a loss for more; but none of them - and not even all of them together - felt right.  Then I remembered what I'd heard and read of the Quakers' experience with this, and I immediately felt a YES! response from my intuition.  I believe it was the Quakers who coined the term “Speak truth to power”, which is exactly what I'd been doing publicly for perhaps the first time.

This was one of my road-to-Damascus experiences.  It was indeed a shift in both my consciousness and my actions.  Since then I haven't doubted that this is the right path for me to follow.  My interpretation of it has given me much more than an easy explanation of why such a thing could have happened; I now have an assurance and more courage than ever before.  And I am so happy to have found this thread and read others' reports of it too.

Blessings and awakenings to all,
LT
