Hillary has conceded and will probably become the vice president. Can you imagine that? Who would ever have thought that 2008/09 would be the year that an African American and a woman would hold the highest political office in the U.S.A? Absolutely amazing. But, you never know what will happen. McCain may also win. Who do you think he'll have as a vice president? Mitt Romney? |

Thank you! Yes, laughter is a good thing. But, gosh, why did it have to come at my expense? I made a fool out of myself, sort of. My predictions were all wrong. Mabye I just made those predictions because that's what I wanted to see happen. Hah! Either way, I better stick to things other than politics. Maybe comedy? Laughs. |

I4one am not laughing at your expense. Geesh… could the terms TOPSY TURVY have more relevance than in todays world. I'm sure my grandparents would scoff and relate their stories and experiences. |

I think I caused a misunderstanding. I wasn't at all suggesting that you were laughing at me. I knew you weren't. I knew exactly what you meant and how you felt. I was trying to express that I basically tried to be all smart and stuff by predicting who was going to win, but I was completely wrong, in all the predictions. When I said, “at my expense”, I wasn't directly responding to you, it was, how do I say it, sort of a self-ridiculing response. I was kicking myself in the butt so to speak. It's really difficult sometimes to express tone and even sarcasm while writing. |

JORDAN No misunderstandings here. Written communication is as hard as any other communication with a few extra loops thrown in. Despite that you’ve been clear as newly washed crystal. I thank you for that. Have seen most of what you mention and I continue to deal with the gut wrenching shudder that accompanies the questions such viewing raises. I’ve recently heard and remembered a quote which rings strongly for me when dealing with others in my life. “My facts won’t change your perception.” It’s so simple yet so hard to accept when I talk to and deal with others who simply seem to choose not to see where I'm coming from. Yet it's possible to state the facts I have and let it go. It seems you may be dealing with that too Jordan so I hope the quote and viewpoint helps. If you’re a reader I’d add this to your list and move it to the top of the stack. Though I’d have several boxes of tissue and a few friends stand by for support. For my part: I will vote Absentee due to military training and hope my vote is appropriately counted. I will take these views, videos, ideas from books, the changing focus of the Army mission and create a space for them. Then I will deploy to Iraq and do the best I can to educate & also humor my fellow soldiers. Blessings backatcha, David |

Cool. Thanks for all the clarification and understanding and information. I wish you safety and success in Iraq. As I write this response, I am watching the final presidential debate on CBS. And, it looks as if Obama is the stronger. But, look at my past predications at the beginning of this post. I won't be surprised if McCain wins! Smiles. |
