About This Group
Ever have the feeling that, way down deep inside, you're a Taoist?
Do you go with the flow… enjoy nature… see this life as just another step toward the Infinite?
Then perhaps you ARE a Taoist. They come in all shapes, sizes, colors, ages and faiths, you know…
We have no limits...(more) on our discussions here… add a poem, a story, tell us how your day went, what did you notice about life? Did you stop a moment to appreciate that beautiful sunset? Did you find your balance while playing with the kids? While playing your guitar? Playing with the X-Box? It doesn't matter where or how you first noticed it. The important thing is, you did notice.
Now, we're not out to make converts here in the Temple… your faith is yours and yours alone. If you HAVE no faith, you're just as welcome here. Not sure? Maybe this is the place you're supposed to be… just light a few sticks of incense, put them in that big urn over there, and kick back for a while.
It would be nice for us all to gain our realization here… to jump into that river of life down the hill and float along until enlightenment comes. But the Taoist philosophy is nothing if not pragmatic. We test our beliefs daily and supplement them when needed, eliminate them if called for, and laugh at them constantly.
Whether you want to explore the philosophical or religious aspects of Taoism, or any of it's siblings - traditional Chinese medicine, taiji, qigong, energy healing, feng shui… or just want to kick your sandals off in the courtyard and watch your brothers and sisters engage in theever-changing patterns of life - you're welcome here.
Me? Oh, I'm nobody special - just a sort of volunteer tour guide for the Temple. If you need any help getting around here (it IS a rather large building), just holler for Sifu and I'll try to help…
…without trying too hard, of course… :>)

About This Room
I would like to encourage everybody to be creative with their cell phone cameras and take pictures of anything in the taoist spirit. Post your pictures here along with a description of the photo and your feelings about it. Thank you!
